I have never had a company take 3 weeks to fix a shower leak. Truly the most shocking service I have yet had. Utterly shocking management. The team of workers are poorly treated, over-worked and spend 12-14 hour days working without having time for breakfast. They are excellent at their job, however, their head office is pathetic and I will ensure to tell all my clients going forward that there are many better options.

Two electricians promptly arrived at my house to install an induction hob. The hob was slightly bigger than the old hob, and they had to work very hard to widen the old cabinet. They never gave up, stayed committed to finishing the job. They both deserve a raise AND a holiday!

Very good services from Schmidhauser Electrical and Plumbing. A plumber came out the evening to have a look at our geyser, he took photos and sent it to another plumber who came out the following day and repaired our geyser. Good services! Punctual and friendly staff!

They offer a free inspections for beetle and gas CoCs but then listed over R10,000 worth of work to conform and in order to issue certificates. We got second opinions and only required R3,000 of work. Clearly scamming people with non-required restoration work by offering free inspections. I thought as much and proved it.

I would not recommend this company. They are an absolute rip off. They wanted to charge me R3000 to fix a single pipe that would not even take more than an hour to fix. When I questioned the lady on the phone as to how she got this unreasonable price, she raised her voice at me and was completely unprofessional. We went with Seapoint plumbers, who did an amazing job and charged us R1100 for the exact same job. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company.

Purchased a house for which this company issued a compliance certificate. Our electrician installed extra plugs and found that most of the existing electrical installation not earthed, i.e., house not actually compliant. Had to pay R38,000 to have repairs in order to pass a proper compliance certificate. As the seller had accepted the inadequate certificate, legally advised that seller does not have to pay, hence have to pay this out of our own pockets.

Awesome service. I called them Nov 19 because our office plugs stopped working. All fixed and very well explained at a great price. The plugs stopped working again 5 months later and they were there within 40 mins and fixed it free of charge. Amazing responsiveness from Neville who checked at every stage to see if I was happy. Schmidhauser plumbing capetown is the biggest rip off Ive ever seen in my life .They tried to charge me R 15000 for a small easy job at 302 moulle grange in moulle point .My private plumber Tyrone did same job for R3000. NEVER use these people ...the quote was written by Arianna Abaroah .Absolute thieves .They obviously have some scam going where they purposely rip off people who are not living in Capetown and need work done .

I asked for a quote in December. The quote was approved by my landlord on 18 December. It took until 3 February for someone to confirm the work would be done. Only to have no-one arrive to do the work. Countless e-mails, phonecalls and 6 weeks later was the job completed. The damage done to my walls and house unspeakable. Really quite a harrowing experience.

Please be careful about having Schmidhauser do your electrical installations. We had them in and they issued COC which was illegally signed by Daniel Schmidhauser even though he had not seen or had anything to do with our installations. They have been reported to the EIASA and Dept of Labour. They have a knack of claiming bankruptcy and relocating their offices. When we began they were in Hout Bay then moved to City Bowl and then to Woodstock, who knows where they are now. They have cost us thousands of rands to repair their work and caused that we were shut down by the electrical board to fix their work, Mr. Schmidhauser illegally voided his COC when we told him to fix their work only and that we would not give them any further work. Think about this companies responsibility to you and your family and the danger they pose by working on your home. I would not even give them a 1 star rating but I guess I had to rate.
