Inherited Electrospec with a house I bought as they were used by the previous owners and its been a pleasure dealing with them ever since. Priscilla is always responsive and knowledgeable and makes sure youre happy with the work even while the work is being done. Their electricians are always friendly, on time, efficient and they know their stuff, they just get the work done AND they make sure to clean up after themselves when the work is done (a BIG plus, when most other contractors are happy to leave that job up to the homeowner to do!)

Clearly dont know how to be professional they already gave a report about what the problem was before even going to check and blames it on wear and tear .

Did not read the request for service for days, no apology. No order, it went to Jitco.

Always professional on the jobs they do. I would recommend them.

Horrificly Bad - DO NOT BUY A HOUSE INSPECTED BY ELECTROSPEC!!A guy by the name of Robin had done the inspections on a property I bought. None of the plugs were even EARTHED?!? Im not even an electrician and I tested all the plugs and none were earthed - this could have led to fire and loss of life. The whole house tripped every time you use more than 3 appliances at the same time. Turns out that the previous builders had used wires which couldnt carry the correct current and this was COMPLETELY missed by Electrospec. After threatening them with legal action and reporting them to the Electrical authority, they eventually agreed to re-wire my entire house. A young guy by the name of Chris completed the work and I havent had any further problems in 2 years.

SORRY IT’S A NO FOR ME !If you are purchasing or selling a property that has been inspected or will be inspected by this company PLEASE TAKE NOTE. We purchased a property in Capri village , Noordhoek in early January 2018 and moved in the beginning of Feb 2018. We notified Electrospec that we had a few electrical and plumbing issues and they agreed to have it checked out. In all fairness their interaction with us was very professional , the staff was very friendly and most of the electrical issues have been resolved. However in the plumbing department we have had no joy. The previous owner of our home confirmed that Electrospec carried out repairs on the geyser and after the repairs there was NO HOT WATER IN THE KITCHEN and in February 2018 when we moved in we brought this to their attention and they simply through the book at us and said “it is not a legal requirement for them to ensure running hot water in the kitchen.” We also brought it to their attention that both our toilets were faulty . When their guys from their plumbing department inspected it the book was thrown at us again and I was told that their job is “only to check if the toilets flush properly. I then asked one of the guys if he knew who did the inspection and he responded “I did the inspection , why ? “ and I asked him if he bothered to lift the lid of the cisterns because both toilets mechanisms were being held together with duct tape and shoe strings to which he responded “ No I did not check it I only checked if the toilets flushed and those makeshift repairs could’ve taken place after our inspection in January 2018.”They then had the nerve to ask us if we wanted a quote for these repairs . All this for a house that was “inspected and certified” by ELECTROSPEC that had multiple electrical comebacks , no running hot water in the kitchen (as a result of their own repairs) and two faulty toilet cisterns held together with duct tape and shoe strings. SERIOUSLY ?My advice regarding OUR experience with this company is that if you have purchased a property inspected by this company be prepared to have the book thrown at you for any comebacks and if you are selling likewise.
