I suffered with chronic anorexia for 11 years and was in and out of residential psychiatric care in Australia and the UK, nothing helped. I heard about Montrose Manor and decided to give them a try. I stayed with them for 6 months and they turned my life around. Linda worked with me and my family to help face and heal the wounds created over the years. The program focussed on building self esteem and self belief, it was not all about the food - a mistake many other clinics seem to make. That was 3 years ago and I have remained in recovery ever since. I have rebuilt relationships with myself and my family. Montrose gave me my life back!!. Thanks to all the wonderful counsellors, staff and nurses who were so patient, kind and helpful and a special thanks to Annamarie (Clinical Manager) who was so kind and compassionate with my first phone call and interview. I have been cured from the eating disorder, Bulimia Nervosa which I have had for more than 30 years. As a teenager I was also diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa. I felt hopeless, helpless and severely depressed.
