I have had the pleasure of being taught the correct (K53) way of driving on very short notice by Joy. His method of teaching is precise, and I always felt comfortable asking for clarification. I enjoyed every lesson due to Joys sense of humor. I felt that Joy’s lessons prepared me well to deal with the inherently unexpected nature of driving, and I am happy to say that I have passed my drivers today!I also need to add that I passed the in the yard test with 0 penalty points all thanks again to Joy!Thank you, Joy; youre a rock star! I almost gave up on learning to drive after trying 2 different instructors and feeling no progress at all. Then I found the best instructor Joys Driving School. Extremely patient and understanding instructor. Always punctual and puts you at ease to learn at your own pace and ensures your success. Joy did an amazing job laying the foundation I needed and Bradley did even better building on that solid foundation. I never felt uncomfortable or anxious around them, they did a good job at creating a safe space for learning how to drive. A big thank you to both of them on being such patient and kind teachers. Joy is an excellent driving instructor with a great sense of humor. He taught me how to drive safely on stressful roads. It is thanks to him that I got my license on my first attempt. I passed first time, despite my drivers test examiner was someone with the same niceness, leniency and kindness of someone out of the Geheime Staatspolizei (Gestapo). Joy truthfully taught me the real essentials to pass well, without joking around with useless time-wasting that would not help for the exam. Honestly, after God, the reason why I passed first time is one: that is Joy ;)

Honestly the best driving school ever! I have been trying to get my license since I was 18, was really a bad case, I have tried with several other driving instructors and I didn’t learn much, I am now 28 and finally with joys driving school I have gotten my license. Honestly the worst driving school ever! In fact I am shocked at the reviews. I have received nothing but BAD SERVICE from Joys driving school Burgundy Estate, Cape Town! The Driving instructor has always been late and inconvenienced me, has no respect for peoples schedules, and the least he can do is be ON TIME which was never the case. Extremely unprofessional, and had me drop his wife off at the mall during one of my driving lessons, during which I learnt absolutely nothing!!! Not only was that happening during my lesson but he also kept answering enquiries on the phone during my lesson. After his wifes trip to the mall my lesson ended 15 minutes early, what was supposed to be a 1hr lesson ended up being a 45 minute lesson and this was his reaponse:oh.. sorry. No sincerity at all. Only taking advantage. I have never been more upset in my life. I pay for lessons, to get taught how to be a good driver! I expect you to be PROFESSIONAL AND FOCUS ON THE PERSON YOU ARE TEACHING! THERE IS A TIME AND PLACE FOR EVERYTHING. You answer enquiries at your home office or wherever, but not during my time THAT I PAY YOU FOR. I do not pay people for fun and to waste my time! I learnt absolutely nothing during 5 lessons, a complete waste of time and money. The Driving instructor has yet to pay a refund for a lesson that was never had.Incompetent and UNPROFFESSIONAL.
