I found the staff abrupt and unhelpful. the machine went in for a service and is filthy. It seems as if I payed R598.50 for nothing.There was a cushion under the foot, was missing when returned The staff said they threw it away.Very sorry I had to use Afsew

Best place to service your sewing machine and it only takes a day or two. They keep many spare parts on hand. Ive been through 4 services so far and each one has been pleasant.

This is the utmost worst place to visit, the people are rude and abrupt. They are uncouth and I’ll mannered. They look at your face and they want to rip you off. I suggest you don’t ever visit this place they don’t deserve loyal consumers!! They will not help you, they will overcharge you! I’ve never seen old men so sad an inhappy in their lives. Don’t support them!! Unbelievable. I’ve never been treated or spoken to like they did. And I’m a student, how do you charge R600 for something if someone told you it’s R500

I just called to find out if they replace bobbins and the person who answered the phone didnt even say hello nor let me know where Ive just called-I had to ask if I called the right place. I then asked if they replace bobbins for my sewing machine model....he told me to bring the machine in....are we being serious? The answer should be simple if theyve been in service for 127 years...waste of time I tell you

I usually give people a chance even when theyre out of chances, but wow, the service at Afsew perfectly turns my smile upside down.I dont enjoy phoning them as it feels like I am doing an injustice when they answer with the biggest sighs.The one man is mean to his staff and it is upsetting.Sjoe, one more time Afsew, hope you turn my frown upside down.

This is one of the last places that one would want to have ANY business dealings with!My wife took her sewing machine in to have the belt replaced and specifically asked for a quote before any work was done on it. After 2 weeks we had still not heard anything from them. I then telephoned them and was told that the machine was ready (no quote and no notification that the job had been done). I was also told that the cost would be R720 - this included a service which had NOT been requested. I was told that they automatically service any machine that comes in. Why were we not told this? After much arguing we then decided to go in and collect the machine to find that the service part of the bill was scratched out and suddenly we were being charged R500 labour to replace a belt - about a 10 minute job.The staff and manager were sullen and started becoming racist so we decided to pay and get out. They told us that theyd been in business for 127 years - where they get their customers heaven knows.We will not be back to them and Id suggest that if you have any sewing machine repairs that need doing then go further on Google and find somewhere else!

We got a quote for over 2000. Had it fixed somewhere else for 400 in a day. And grumpy on top.
