Awesome Doctor with a wicked sense of humour. Waiting for Dr. D is an honour, it means everybody is getting the best treatment possible (and so will you). Dr DW. is the one who works late every night to get everyone treated to her very high standards, knowledge and experience = done properly by someone who cares about your health. It would be easier for DR DW. to stick to the time frame , she wont be able to give you the additional time to treat you the way she wants and she would shorter here day by 2 hours every day. We the patients are the Winners, common sense really!I dont understand the complainers.... wait a few HOURS, which generally means living many more YEARS........ Im 1st in that Q. 😍

Thank you Dr Whitaker for saving my skin. After trying products I saw online and nothing worked I thought there was no hope. Now my skin looks radiant and healthy. Also, the AHA cream, although pricey, it is totally worth it.

So slow its unbelievable. I had basically completed an MSc by the time she saw me and it was nothing in any case.

When they say the Dr usually runs late they mean it! Take a book and chill - you will have a long wait. The advantage is that she tries to get everything done so you dont have to go back.

Dr Whitaker is without a doubt one of the best dermatologists in the Cape. She knows her job like no other. I would never waste my time ever again going to anyone else. For this excellent expertise there is a price: she is booked up months in advance. They do accommodate urgent cases, with the natural result that one has to wait ones turn. So if you want the best, you should take a book, (well your phone nowadays) relax and wait. If you are waiting that means they are taking urgent cases in. I have wasted more time and money on terrible incompent dermatologists in Cape Town, and will never ever go anywhere else.

Even though the various smses say the doctor runs late, having people wait for almost 2 hours is unacceptable. When we arrived there was also no communication on how late it was, others had to ask. When I eventually got to see the doctor I was greeted with an unfriendly human being clearly tired of the day. After I was looked at I was told I had to have a mole removed with no explanation of why or how that would happen. I wasnt comfortable at all.Find someone else.

Although Dr. Whitaker is a good dermatologist and I am not discrediting that- I did not have a good experience with her practise. I waited for an hour and a half for my appointment in the waiting room, amongst 6 other patients who were all extremely irritated at how long we had to wait. I understand doctors run late, but over an hour is extremely excessive and messes all of us around- especially those who work. The secretary (the older women) was also blunt and rude to me. I tried to get a renewal for a prescription for over a week and she kept on promising Id get it the next day and eventually after a week she says the doctor has gone on holiday for 2 weeks and so I wont be able to get anything until then. also, when I called to follow up for the prescription (had to call 4 times after empty promises that Id get it the next day after each day that I called) the secretary cut me off while I was trying to explain my situation and told me well its nothing serious, its not like you have a melanoma or something. very rude. wont be going back- I changed to Dr Asmal who is far easier to contact, sticks to her promises, her secretary is nice, she doesnt leave her patients for over an hour waiting and is a very good dermatologist.
