My husband planned a couples spa treatment for him and myself for my birthday today. We arrived and were warmly greeted and welcomed by the beautiful Claire. She explained to us the proceedings for the morning and guided us to the fancy changing rooms where we were informed that the use of the steam room and sauna was ours for a few hours before our actual treatments began and then handed us the most delicious cup of chai tea! These lovely young ladies, Florence and Claire are so professional and radiate knowledge and experience in what they do. Our full body massages and luxury pedicures were conducted fantastically and I highly recommend joining Avara for a much needed treatment. The facilities are clean, smell incredible and is romantically lit for a moody atmosphere. The staff are well groomed and mannered and the soft spa music sets the tone for plenty relaxation. 5 stars all round!

My mother and I went to a spa for the very first time and we chose avara spa for our first experience.Claire and Florence did our luxury pedicures and we are absolutely amazed at how professional, fun, relaxing and just such an awesome experience to get our first spa treatments down by them. Our toes look amazing and my feet have never felt better! The complimentary Chai tea was absolutely delicious too!The only negatives are,It was a little hard to get hold of them and communication was a little tough, but understanding that they are running on skeleton staff at the moment in these tough times. Email was the best way to communicate as long as you give enough time for planning.I wish they had told me how to get into the building, as I had to ask the security guards who were a little abrupt. And getting out of the area was difficult because the security guards were walking around and ignoring me while I waited to get out, and eventually strolled by to let me out and asked if Im leaving, and if Im sure Im done now...All in all I will definitely go back and highly recommend their services especially from Claire and Florence.

Excellent service at the Avara spa. We had a bachelorette day spa treatment that included a full body massage, indian head massage, and acces to all facilities.Staff is extremely professional and the space is tranquil and relaxing. We received a welcoming chai tea. They provide you with robes (note: one size fits all) and changing rooms.The sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and heated pool were lovely.. Although, we wouldve loved for the water to be hotter.. It was kind of luke warm. Jacuzzis bubbles and jets need to be started by getting out of the jacuzzi and pressing a button, every 5 minutes. This was a bit frustrating, but understandable since the residents of knightsbridge also have access to those facilities.Overall, an extremely great value for money and quite a relaxing experience. Im usually not the Spa type of guy , but after today I must admit I have changed my perspective .Let me start at beginning we walk in and was welcomed with such warmth and friendly staff . Then we stepped in the place beautifull , clean , covid protocols are met and just a feeling of relaxation.Im encouraging all who knows me when you need a break from the world and its problems book yourself a treatment at Avara Spa you will thank me later .

I absolutely love this Spa! The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. I was welcomed with a warm greeting and a complimentary cup of Chia Tea, which is delicious (they also sell it at the Spa). I had a full body massage which was out of this world, and after got a pedicure which I was just as good. If you book a treatment, you get access to the on site jacuzzi, pool, sauna and stream room. They have lovely velvet gowns that you get to use while there. I had a consultation with Dr Sewraj who is an amazing Aesthetics Doctor. She is professional and helps in guiding you to get the best treatment for your skin.

Avara spa is a must-go! The staff are friendly , the overall appearance is very elegant and clean. I loved that they sprayed under my shoes prior to coming in which made me feel more comfortable with their CoViD protocols. I did a lip treatment with Dr. Navasha and she made me feel at home. Throughout the session, she checked in to make sure I was dealing with any discomfort and was very reassuring throughout.Thank you Avara spa!

I couldnt find a page for the Dolphin Beach Avara Spa so I thought Id leave my review here.I had the best massage and the theravine facial is spectacular. I would recommend however that the towels could be softer but other than that my first experience was fantastic and I will no doubt go back again.

I highly recommend the superb quality of treatments offered at Avara Wellness Spa, Century City. I have never had such a wonderful spa experience as this. I felt like I was being treated to the most luxurious pampering one could get. If I ever thought the treatment was coming to the end, along came more pampering. It was pure bliss. In my opinion, this is more than one step-up from the normal treatments l’ve had at other Spa’s. I will definitely be returning as many times as I can.

Went there just yesterday for a massage. It was horrible. I’m sure my back and shoulders are super injured now. I’m in so much pain that I can barely move my neck or carry things with my right hand. Any sudden movements and it feels like somebody proper beat me up. It was the worst, most strenuous massage I’ve ever experienced. My masseuse was pushing on my bones, clearly untrained to find the muscle. I tried to tell her where to push but she just kept pushing on my bone, as if trying to remove a knot. My shoulder blades were cracking so loudly and she was pushing with her elbow directly on my spine. Today I’m still with knots and physically injured. I will never go back.

My partner and I went for a facial and we were welcomed by Megan who is such a ray of sunshine. Our therapists Clarity and Zuki, made us so comfortable and relaxed. Today, after much hesitation because of the online reviews, I decided to take my sister with me for the couples winter escape at the Century City branch. There was alot I liked on the list of treatments and wanted to try - such as the full face threading. Yesterday I called and questioned the receptionist about the reviews and then decided to find out for myself.We were received warmly by the receptionist and enjoyed lovely Chai tea. The Swedish massages could not have been better, the therapist asked whether we were satisfied with the pressure, and it left us feeling amazing thereafter! Next was our Kalahari facials - that too met every expectation! Last was the threading - its now something I will do routinely because my face looks so much clearer! As advertised we enjoyed the cheese platter and because we are responsible drivers we brought out bottle of wine home! Thank you for a relaxing afternoon Avara Century City!

Went to Avara Day Spa at Dolphin Beach Hotel, and it was nothing short of amazing! I had the full body massage and caviar pedicure. My therapist, Janeska, is a dream! She was so gentle with me after I told her about an arm injury that occured a day before my treatment. Shes friendly and easy to talk to. Id recommend anyone to to her!

Very poor service. Bought a deal on Wikideals, couples Sunday massage, was my 1st year wedding anniversary and thought id book a spa day for myself and my husband.When we got there, we were offered something to drink, nothing was mentioned of nuts or dried fruit as quoted on the advertisement.We waited for 15mins for someone to come and speak to us, did not even give us a review of the days agenda.The massage and facial was satisfying however everything was rushed.When we were done we were told to wait in the reception area, we waited for 20mins, the receptionist walked passed us a few times, when I approached her regarding the use of the sauna her response was oh its out of order and she walked away. This was not advised when we arrived and therefore we were looking forward to the sauna before or after the treatments. I asked her if we are done for the day, her response was yes you can shower if you want and then you done for the day NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER!!The spa vouchers (R100 off your next treatment) which is was given to us on our way out as she was too busy selling chia tea to the other two ladies whom were also waiting in the reception area.I am really disguised at the service and was highly disappointed and will not recommend this spa to anybody as the service we received was appalling and we did not received when we paid for.NO DRIED FRUIT AND NUTSNO ACCESS TO SAUNA, STEAM ROOMNO CUSTOMER SERVICEUNFRIENDLY STAFF

AMAZING.

I couldnt get hold of them on their landline after many tries. It either just rings or just doesnt go through. Went there in person to make a appointment only to be refused entry by the security guard. Even when I asked security to call them to let me in, the didnt even come to the gate to help me. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!
