Initial dealings with this company were very pleasant however a good sales representative is where the service stopped. Their agent in the UK, Greens, were totally unprofessional and unresponsive. They used another subcontractor to deliver our goods to us in the UK who arrived 7 hours late, with no communication leading up to this. When my goods arrived we had shattered crystal glassware as they were packed with metal objects. 2 Very expensive fragile statues also broken due to being packed in a box with other metal heavy objects. The leg of my wing back chair broken off as it had clearly been dropped. Econo trans reaction was that I was basically a liar as they would not have packed metal in either boxes and as I did not take the correct insurance they could not assist. They are not financial advisors in the words of the very same sales representative who could have sold ice to Eskimos in our initial dealings. I am now paying for their negligence. Do your homework before committing to entrusting your valued goods to any moving agent. It has been an awful experience to say the least and definitely not the cheapest ou there!

We used Econo Trans to ship our household goods from Cape Town to Portugal. They did this in an extremely professional and efficient manner. It was a pleasure working with Kevin, Nicole and Adrian from the start to the end. They wrapped and packed everything carefully and their partner in Portugal, Ana of Santa Fé Relocation, was amazing too! Were were kept informed all the time by both companies as to what was required and the eta of the container. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for that extra special care and attention!

Ive been using Econo Trans for 16 years to transport commercial goods from SA to Canada. They have been reliable, communicative and consistent. Ive never had anything lost or damaged and never had to make a claim. Great company!

Really pathetic, would not recommend them to anyone. Please only make use of their services if you want your valuables stolen, broken and misplaced. This company does not care about your broken items and stolen items, their excuse for the stolen items are that they are packed in a different box and are still coming. It is unbelievable how they are still in business with their appalling business practices when you entrust them to take care while packing and shipping your valuable items. We as an extended family will never use Econo Trans again and will make sure that anyone who asks will be duly informed of the way they have handled our valuables and dealt with our concerns. Contrary to other reviews my experience with bringing a container from Cape Town to USA was very positive. My assigned coordinator was extremely communicative and helpful and texted me at all hours with updates and feedback. Given the time difference between us I found very effective and professional.Shipment arrived unscathed and I will use them again! Only reason not 5 stars because I did not get photos of the packed container as agreed, but otherwise great service.

My flat screen tv was transported at the back of a trailer. In short my tv screen is so cracked its heartbreaking. There is a also a box missing. I must say Econo trans said they are SORRY about my broken tv.

Our whole experience has been quite terible. Our belongings were badly stored inside the container and got damaged. Then when we wanted to claim from the insurance, they had 100 reasons why we could not claim from the insurance. Rather find someone else for your move.

Will not recommend them. Some of our items got damaged. We did have them insured, but they use every excuse not to replace it.
