What a wonderful experience. Yes, they are not as cheap as some places, but the range and the customer service makes you understand why. What a pleasure. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The fabrics are so beautiful. I see some people complain about the parking, but its Northumberland street, what do you expect ;)I will never go to another material shop again. Oh my! What excellent service I received! I havent sewn for years, so was concerned about the amount of material I needed for a box-type table cover. The assistant (Sorry I never got his name!) went through my figures & drawing carefully & confirmed I was correct. Where does one get friendly, professional help like that anymore??! A variety of fabric, helpful staff and right next to an arts and crafts shop and a 2nd loved antique shop which includes a coffee shop. A delightful experience all round!🙏❤

Out of all the material shops in the Northern Suburbs, I dislike going to this one the most. Their prices are anything from R20 to over a R100 pm more expensive than anywhere else(on the same quality materials that you normally can get elsewhere although they will spin a story that their material is better quality.... Im a fashion designer.... I work with fabrics everyday, its definitely not the case).

Had a very good experience. Never been in this store before, so was very impressed with the big selection. The gentleman that assisted us helped us find the perfect material for my daughters wedding.

Oh my goodness, what an amazing place. My eyes were in color heaven and if it wasnt for COVID, I would be feeling & touching every single type of material. They have everything; from material - duh ;) - the required tools and all sorts of sewing items. LOVE IIIIIT. And the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Love this little store for your quick sewing and habberdashery needs. Jill is always kind and helpful. They have large pieces of offcuts at the entrance where I often find a bargain just the right size to make a normal sized item summer dress, pants, shirt etc.

Its OK I like some of the staff there they are very accomodating but the place is very stuff and the lighting is not good it Cud do with a upgrade. Or separate the clothing to the house hold fabrics. They are a bit more expensive than the other places. Ans the range of laces is not big. Nor trims. Its all very basic Ive been to Egypt and usually buy lace and stones there its way more there then here. Cant compare.

You will be able to find very fancy fabrics here. It is perfect for looking for material for your wedding, matric dance or other ball gown (met a Miss South Africa contestant shopping for fabric for her ball gown there).They also stock many other kinds of fabrics and the assorted decorative pieces that go with them.Their prices can be a bit steep.

Its literally a town on its own. From a coffee shop to a furniture shops, gifts, decor, sewing to material shopping. Lovely place with friendly people plus theres parking at almost each store.

Staff were not very helpful and were unwilling to answer questions properly. Asked if they have wider fabrics than the rolls I was looking at, was told no, then found them myself and asked if they have any buttons, was told no again and then found those myself too. Excellent range of all types of fabrics though.

Excellent place to visit if you are a professional or an amateur sewing person or simply DIY enthusiast. There is a variety of materials and all the accoutrements that one needs for sewing, knitting or your DIY project. The staff are very helpful in assisting you and try to make you visit as pleasant as possible.
