Wow wow wow! I loved my visit to the Watershed! Stroll through the stores to see a magical selection of beautifully curated handmade products and authentic Capetonian goods. No tacky and typical souvenirs will be found here. A new favourite destination for sure! The second floor features a coffee shop and a spacious and modern co-working space. I will certainly be bringing my laptop and working there soon.

Eclectic, modern, and interesting shopping area a short walk from the V&A mall. The area is filled with handmade South African goods including art, clothing, and jewellery.Treat yourself to a relaxing massage or reflexology treatment in the space.Products are pricey, but considering that its all handmade and by really great SA artists. Its worth the price tag. Youll definitely find special and unique gifts here...

The Watershed is quite not its usual bubbling point especially with the Covid_19 pandemic coupled with winter season. But still wonderful to do multiple shopping in style. Most of the shops are open. I took time to visit my favorite juice shop.. Eso Juice..

Nice calm area upstairs to sit around and have coffee while studying. PlayDate super park is in the same building, kids absolutely love it there and so do we it gives us some time to chill while the kids do their thing in a safe environment. The stalls sell beautiful stuff ranging from clothing to accessories etc.. There is also a cute little park just outside the building and cookies and crumbs for some good ice cream to set the mood.

I stumbled upon this place by happenstance. I was riding on the City Sightseeing Red bus. I decided to get off and check the area out. I met some awesome people at a couple of shops that I visited. Bumped into Zenn, the one man band jamming again! I really enjoyed the Watershed because it features a lot of local talented artists who customize projects for you in just a few days.

The V&A has lost a little bit of its Lustre for me. Its good for tourists, but all in all Tyger Valley or Canal Walk are better shopping experiences. The prices here tend to be higher than elsewhere. Its fine if you want to give it a shot once or twice a year, but not a very good shopping experience. The watershed is kinda cute but again for tourists and has also become more commercial and less authentic in the past couple of years.

Of all the places to shop in the Waterfront, The Watershed is my favourite. The creativity and originality of the goods on sale are a refreshing break from chain stores, so prevalent in the conventional shopping malls. I always recommend guests from my guest house to visit this great place when in the Waterfront.

Wonderful place to buy African curios. The curios are not just South African. You get a lot of stuff representative of different cultures across Africa. Because the Watershed caters for a large number of tourists, the prices tend to be a bit pricey in rand terms. However, in USD terms, prices always seem reasonable because of the usually depressed ZAR/USD exchange rate.

A whole new experience without the maddening crowds. Now you can contemplate while you browse. The range of crafts has definitely matured and settled over the years and each stall has a unique selling proposition. Amazingly The Waterfront offers good value especially compared to the plethora of clichéd markets on every other corner of the peninsula with tourists as targets.

An exciting arts and crafts market for those that enjoy a casual stroll. Majority of the items are affordable even those with a serious price tag. However the paintings are on a whole new level. They are extremely beautiful but not suited to the pocket unless youre choosing to invest in a piece for interior decor purposes. There are also cute little pop up restaurants within the walk through market to bust those hunger pangs. Overall, its a little extra activity to pass the time.
