Had a wonderful stay at the Cartel. Beautiful room with stunning furniture, very neat and tidy. Loved the patio furniture as well, relaxing overlooking the city Centre. The service is way beyond what they charged us. The restaurant on the ground floor is very inviting and serves lovely breakfast, I also loved the finishes👌

We booked on a Wikideal for 1 night to celebrate our 25th anniversary. No effort was made to do anything special for us even though we told them when making the booking. The voucher stated that breakfast was included, only to be told it is up to the amount of R100. I contacted Qudi and she said they are still sorting it out with Wikideals, but she will let the restaurant know not to charge us...she came to the dining area and spoke to the waitress and didnt make any effort to speak to us or even make eye contact with us. One of the chefs had his mask on but it didnt cover his nose. We asked the waitress to tell him to put it on properly as he was preparing our breakfast. After she told him in English of our request, they spoke in their own African language and we could see the looks he was giving us.The service really need to be more personal and friendly. We rate them a 3 for the room and their friendly reception desk staff.

My stay at Ideas Cartel was absolutely exceptional. The rooms are large and spacious, decorated to perfection. The mood of my room was conducive for sleep and total relaxation, yet when I wanted to pull out my laptop and some work done, their work stations on a separate floor make it all the more easy to be productive.I’m obsessed with their exclusive rooftop pool with breathtaking city views! Located in the ideal area of the city centre, accessing local restaurants and bars were a walking distance. Best stay ever!!

I always say that the people of Cape Town and South Africa dont value our city and its little hide aways. This hotel is a prime example of excellent service and absolute relaxation. With its limited rooms it also gives a sense of individual attention from its staff. It was indeed a memorable stay.

The room was beautiful & exactly what you saw in the images. So clean & the bed was made to never leave it.The people from the door man, to the cleaning staff, to the cafe staff were all nice and friendly and made you feel welcome and safe. My boyfriend and I had the best time and can’t wait to book again!Only thing I would say is: the lighting on the balcony didn’t work which wanted it to work but managed to improvise.Great place & I have recommended this hotel to many already! Book today, you won’t be sorry! ;)

The room was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. Although I am not in need of office space or a board room, I found the concept most interesting and innovative.

I requested something special for our anniversary, but nothing special was done regarding this, not even a response via email. WiFi didnt work, no room service and some of the electrical points in the room didnt work.Rooms itself are beautiful, but service levels are lacking

If youre in town for a busy night out, its perfect. Rooms are luxurious and restaurant top notch. A definite yes from me.

If you travel for leisure or business this hotel has it all! The rooms are amazing and super comfortable! They have all you need for a perfect stay in Cape Town! From working spaces to roof top pool! Also their service is excellent and the staff is super nice!

A great place in a convenient location close to all the main points of Cape Town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they really do try to make your stay perfect. This is a coliving with an inherent atmosphere, but sufficient confidentiality. The rooms are cozy and very stylish, they have everything you need and even a little more, they are more spacious than standard hotel rooms. Our master suit had a transparent wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, which added a spice to living with my boyfriend, but consider this if your relationship is more constrained.The Internet works great and does not cause any problems during video calls and downloading heavy files. There are enough coworkings and private working places so we didn’t feel cramped while buiseness calls.The only thing we regretted here that we could not have stayed even longer ‘cause live here extremely well.

It’s epic to have this momentary elite hotel life, that stretches to private membership opportunities – and does not come across as antiquated!Arrive as you are – day or midnight since Cartel House Hotel is on international time convenient to any of its guest – and be settled in the best mattress your slumber could yearn for.I could obviously write odes to the strong punch of deep colours the suite goes for, and paint an idyllic portrait of the panoramic view one gets of Cape Town from the suite I was in, but sometimes a stay away comes down to the bed you rest on – and this bed, is a dream!The last time I had a sleep that good, the year was 2017 and the bed was in a plush, 5-star boutique hotel.The Cartel House Hotel is a gem of a find for any traveller requiring the conveniences of the digital world for their trips seamlessness. I used the Ideas Cartel app to book a session in the resident FitPods high above the Loop Street bustle. There are sun-drenched studios for yoga (or dancing), or the more darkened pods to cycle in.

The look and feel of this place is definitely elite and the staff are very welcoming. Pity we had such a short stay.

A sophisticated stay - and views, views, views. Ridiculously comfortable bed, friendly and helpful service and central location in Cape Town. And I hear the rooftop pool will be open soon... Perfect for business travellers (or any visitor to Cape Town, really). Access to the shared workspaces (check out the furniture!) made it convenient for me to get work done when I needed to.

I was lucky to stay one night at Cartel House Hotel on Loop, and cannot recommend it enough. The views are unique and spectacular, the location is ideal, the rooms are beautifully styled and very well equipped. I already look forward to spending another night or two. I recommend it, 100%!

I stayed here for a business trip in December and will be the only hotel I would return to when staying in the centre of Cape Town. The interior design is gorgeous, location fantastic (lots of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance and anything else an easy taxi ride or drive away), the amenities perfect and the staff was fantastic. Travis in particular was always there to help and super easy to communicate with as I needed quite a bit of help (via whatsapp even!). 5 stars all around!

My overall experience was one that will be very memorable, for all the right reasons. Firstly, I was very impressed by the impeccable interior decor of the hotel, it’s chic, stylish and comfortable.Upon my arrival I was politely greeted at reception, asked to sign in and was shown to my room. I was very happy with the service and the introduction to details concerning the room. I found that the hotel has the convenience for an overnight stay, or an extended one, with access to WiFi I was still able to respond to emails whilst doing some work on my laptop overlooking the city scape from the balcony. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that Netflix was available too, this is not a common occurrence with other hotels I have stayed at - but it’s really cool that you Cartel House moves with the times. The luxury of the room and look of the hotel is second to none.To conclude I’d like to make mention that the staff really goes the extra mile, checking in to see if everything is okay, and always asking how they can be of service. Needless to say I was happy with my stay and enjoyed a hearty breakfast at Clark’s before checking out in the morning. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone from young professionals, solo travelers to couples wanting to take a weekend break.

I had a wonderful one night stay, the views from my bedroom were beautiful and the unique design and attention to detail makes this a gem of a hotel :)
