Staff were friendly and helpful. However I bought a brand new mascara, the latest range from MAC: “Magic Extension”. It’s flaky, does not apply all the way to the top level of the lashes properly, and is sub-standard for MAC as well as for the R365 it cost.Not sure if it is because of COVID-19 and delays with shipping but I’m very hesitant to buy any mascara now after this. Have experienced something similar in May with a L’Oréal mascara bought from another retailer (although those mascaras are not sealed and this could have been opened.)Very disappointed with my MAC purchase. I do not recommend MAC mascara after my recent experience.

Horrifying customer service at this MAC outlet. I have had 2 very bad experiences that stand out. One when I asked to come for a makeup application and was told VERY rudely after being looked up & down, that they were full (despite me booking far in advance). So I book for the makeup counter next to theirs from another brand. Well on the day of my makeup application, MAC had ZERO clients getting their makeup done! So I was clearly lied to about them being full. There was no one there, besides the MAC employees standing around.Secondly, some of the staff are plain rude,dismissive and not helpful. I always get looked at like I am a alien from Mars and dont belong in their store. My last experience was when I went to buy my fave foundation only to be told once again, very rudely and a annoyed tone, that the makeup was discontinued YEARS ago (which is actually partly untrue, more like a year ago). She proceeded to move on with her work without even trying to assist me with finding a alternative foundation which I gladly would have bought. This has put me off buying MAC makeup at a store again. Not sure why MAC employees tend to be very rude, abrupt and judgmental. This has been experience about 90% of the time. I get treated like I am some sort of parasite.

The stuff is really nice and helpful; when you enter the door they already approach you with a smile and ask if they can assist with anything.
