Dr Strydom is a fantastic dentist. I am incredibly scared of needles and dentists but he and all the staff there immediately made me feel comfortable. I also explained my fear of needles before my procedure and unlike so many other Drs, Dr Strydom did not dismiss my concerns. He was so gentle, I felt nothing, not the local not the procedure and even afterwards my teeth did not hurt. I am very impressed with the standard of care and quality of work I received there.

Billed me R1065 to recommend a medical surgeon. The number they gave me for the surgeon was incorrect. I also needed some basic tartre cleaning, they didnt do anything about it. Absolutely outrageous.

I would give Dr Strydom more stars if it were possible. I used to be petrified of dentists (and my teeth suffered accordingly), however, after seeing Dr Strydom, I dont have any fear *whatsoever*. Dr Strydom is on time, kind, compassionate and, more importantly, the work that he does is phenomenal. He is a perfectionist and will not settle for anything less on your teeth, always doing whatever he can to make improvements for you whether you ask for it or not. I am grateful for everything he has done for me over the few years I have seen him (and major work he has done on my teeth) I firmly believe Dr Strydom is one of the best / if not the best healthcare professional I have ever been to and I wish more out there were like him...

Tienelle is just terrific. She whitened my teeth and during the 1 hour long treatment, she kept asking if I was okay and even gave me a blanket as the aircon was cold. Highly recommend her!

I was highly impressed with the work I had done and the affordability of price! I had teeth whitening and two white fillings on my front teeth was excellently done.

Professional practice and no doubt confident about their ability to do the job. Very thorough and detailed. However, I mentioned 3 times I was simply wanting to get a filling done. Not anything else. After an hour in the chair it seemed I got everything examined yet no filling and obviously a consultation fee to pay and a hefty quote to look at?? I was told over the phone what a filling would roughly cost and that a consultation fee would be added and that it could obviously be done. Better communication would have been comforting and if I had know this was the deal beforehand, I would not be writing this.

The service was amazing, the best Ive ever experienced actually (as a person whos been to a fair amount of dentists). Thanks to the lovely Dr de Jager and her assistant Najiema for restoring my smile again!

An exceptional ‘Vacation Dentistry’ experience!I live in the USA but decided to have my dental work done in South Africa due to the lower costs. I found this dental practice on the internet and so I was a little concerned, but I need not have worried.Dr Strydom recommended a more conservative approach than my dentist at home, which I was delighted about. He was very informative, highly professional, and he listened to me. As he has all the equipment for making on-lays and crowns in his office all my dental work was completed in a single, long visit. At a second visit he took impressions and had a new set of retainers made for me, which are more comfortable and fit better than my old ones. The hygienist is also professional and thorough (although she only works there two days per week). The costs were exactly the same as the quotations that he sent me before the consultation.I can really recommend this dental practice for modern and high quality dental care.

Best technical skills of any dentist I have ever gone to. His work last and last. Not a single thing he has done has broken yet, where before that was a constant problem. Also does milling of ceramic fillings and inserts on site, which is a lot safer than amalgam fillings and will last a very long time. Very happy.

Very professional experience. I had a very complicated extraction and implant done. Dr Strydom explained the issues and risks to me carefully and took time to clearly lay out the procedures that he would follow. The procedures itself were performed with care, diligence and absolute precision. Equally important, the after care and follow-up was excellent. Im very grateful to Dr Strydom and his fantastic team for the numerous procedures theyve done:- Night guard- Sports mouth guard- Cosmetic improvement to front chipped tooth- Old filling replacement- Oral hygieneDr Strydom recommended I wear a night guard, as I was grinding my teeth while sleeping. This made me realise I didnt breathe through my nose properly and ended up getting a Septoplasty from my ENT. Both strategies significantly improved my sleep to a point where I feel incomplete without my night guard.I practise Martial Arts and Dr Strydom made me a professional mouth guard, which is way more comfortable and effective than a store bought guard.When I was a teenager I broke my front tooth in a bicycle accident. It cracked in a tricky place and the filling tends to break off every couple of years when I bite into something hard. Dr Strydoms fixing is the best Ive had so far from the several dentists Ive been to (I used to travel a lot) and lasts the longest.Last but not least, I also get my teeth cleaned with the resident oral hygienist regularly and I can not endorse this enough. My mouth feels reborn after every cleaning! ;)If youre worried about the pricing, give them a call before hand to get an estimate.I highly recommend this Dental Practise, I fully trust this team!

So glad I found Molteno Road.Dr Strydoms aesthetic work on my teeth came out better than Id hoped. Love how they look.He also replanned, and replaced the veneers at no cost after my night grinding caused some damage to the original ones. One of my issues with major dental work such as implants is having to deal with more than one practitioner. I originally went to Jean Strydom because he has the skill to handle all the work needed in one place. I cant fault my experience from diagnosis, recommendation, quoting to guiding me through the process. His equipment is state if the art and crowns get milled on the premises. The location of the practice provides a sense of VIP whereas the total cost was less than I expected. Highly recommended.

Ive been a patient of Dr Jean Strydom for over ten years, and it has been a wonderful experience from the start. Like everyone, well those of us that arent masochists, I have never enjoyed going to the dentist. Something about being stuck in a chair with a drill in my mouth I imagine. However, and this is a BIG however, my experience at Molteno Road was nothing short of amazing. I attended Jeans practice on a recommendation from my ex-wife, who would usually want to inflict pain rather than mitigate it, and following my treatment our relationship has flourished! - I required an implant, which to those in the know, requires hours of time in the chair with drills and spikey things. Despite this I barely felt any pain throughout, apart from a little lower back pain from remaining still for so long! The procedure and results were nothing short of amazing! - I was both comfortable and at times entertained by dental jokes (yes there is such a thing!) and now when I smile, I have the piece of mind that my pearly whites are indeed straight and .... white!Jean, I would just like to thank you and your lovely assistant for the professional service I received and the improved smile I now have.Keep working on the jokes, youll get there in the end.I can wholeheartedly recommend Molteno Raod dentist practice to ANYONE.

Went for a consultation at Molteno Road Dental Practice for cosmetic dental procedures (veneers/crowns), in order for Dr Jean Strydom to provide me with a quote. My feeling during the consultation was that he was not comfortable or sure in or explaining what exactly the consultation needed to be, as well as the cosmetic dental procedure that I was inquiring about.He however made the visit lasted more than 30min, and after fiddling (thats all I can call it) in my mouth for that long, and had taken 2 x-rays without my consent. He still wanted to have another look in my mouth when I indicated I wanted to end the visit.End of the consultation, I was presented with a bill of R644.Overall: Dr Jean Strydom was the least professional or knowledgeable about the procedure that I was query about. The sole purpose of the consultation was for him to get some bucks out me. He was very hesitant about the said dental procedure, however, when I asked if he has done it before, he said he had done loads!?! Sorry, I didnt believe you and am not now.All in all, I would NOT recommend Dr Jean Strydom or Molteno Road Dental Practice at ALL and for ANYBODY!!(I have communicated with him about my unsatisfactory of the visit, he hasnt bothered to respond)

I am used to German dentists and have to admit being new to South Africa I was scared when my filling fell out. After a variety of shocking experiences I found dentist Dr Jean Strydom in Molteno Road, which is very close to Cape Towns city center. He is very gentle and accurate and not one of those scary Cowboy dentists. He is also one of the few dentists in Cape Town who has one of those fency Cerec machines that makes white crowns that are supposed to last better than your own teeth.
