I decided to surprise my fiancé with a interactive cooking experience on Valentines Eve. I didnt quite know what to expect other that what I have seen in movies. The hostess and staff was phenomenal and very friendly, they did all the hard work of prepping and left us to actually do the cooking! It was a fun filled night of cooking ( with each other ), creating ( something I have never cooked before and collaborating ( with new friends in the station next to us ). Raise your glasses to an awesome experience and making new friends! Thank you TKC for an unforgettable evening!

Would not recommend. Tried the scallop siu mai and Barbecue set. Both very dissapointing and items missing from order.Scallops were mushy and very bland. Noodles undercooked and flavorless. I think they substituted the duck with short rib which was very tough and chewy.Overall bad experience all round.

I was incredibly fortunate to be able to attend the very best in interactive cooking experiences in this amazing venue! The sleek space and professional team on hand, offer so much more than just a cooking class. As a wine enthusiast, flavour profiles are everything, and when you combine wine with the refined flavour profiles in food, magic happens! Food and wine are the perfect marriage, and when coupled together correctly, only bring out the very best in each other. The evening began with a welcome glass of bubbly before entering a cooking masterclass! Being able to experience and learn in a fun filled environment with like-minded individuals, was an absolute highlight for me. Whilst everyone lends a hand preparing each of the amazing courses, a beautiful glass of wine is never too far out of reach. The Kitchen Collective collaborate with only the best vineyards all over the Western Cape. Brand ambassadors and sommeliers introduce the wine offerings for the evening and are always on hand to answer questions about the wine, but more importantly, keep your glass topped up. On our particular evening, a beautifully oaked Chenin Blanc and velvety smooth Pinotage were the thirst quenchers. Thai cuisine was the inspiration for the evening and the Chenin Blanc married perfectly with the subtle aromatics of the first 3 courses. As we moved on to the more robust flavour profiles in the main dishes, which were a delight to prepare as my spoon seemed to have a constant affinity to taste, a cool fermented Pinotage stood up to the plate bringing delightful expressions of red fruit and spice to enhance the explosion of flavour from the Thai Red Curry. The team of passionate, enthusiastic and charismatic chefs are always on hand to assist, making cooking informative and incredibly fun at the same time! Thank you so much The Kitchen Collective, being able to incorporate sensational food and wine in an interactive setting is truly genius and an experience not to be missed whilst in Cape Town. I cannot wait to return! Your team, experience and entertaining environment get a massive thumbs up from me!

Was so pleasantly surprised by the Kitchen Collective - an amazing new kitchen space in the Bo Kaap - where I attended an interactive cooking evening. The wine flowed and the atmosphere was relaxed but I still got to learn a few awesome cooking tips to take home with me. We cooked and ate multiple dishes and the evening has even inspired me to get back into the kitchen more! I also went alone to the evening, but landed up meeting and chatting to so many great people throughout the night.I highly recommend the Kitchen Collective for anyone looking to learn a little bit more about cooking or even for someone just looking to have a unique experience in Cape Town!
