Absolutely disgusting service, had to fix my geyser the hot water pressure was disturbed by the fix they made and the boss had the audacity to accuse me of trying to get free service from them. Horrendous lot these people are, if it was possible to give them a negative review I would.

After phoning Electrabug for an inspection of our Gas, Electrical and Plumbing with a reasonable price as stated, it was their 30th birthday special. I was very happy for them to come. I bought a new apartment not so long ago thinking everything would go smoothly, but oh was I so wrong. First the electrical team was nice and approachable, they answered my questions and left me feeling good. Secondly the plumber arrived very shortly after the electrical team and may I say this guy really needs an attitude adjustment, he was rude by just walking into our home and not saying hello. When he was done, we asked question but all he said was sorry you failed. When I asked why we would fail, his remark was blunt and short by saying, “I can’t tell you it will be in my report.” And then just turned around and left. Now finally gas. This was installed by the developer and we have never touched it. They deemed it as a fail because it needs to change completely. All I can say is how could it have passed the certification when I bought the apartment. I’ve now waisted my money as I will now get other companies in to do an inspection which I think will comeback with a way lower cost. I hope people wake up and try use other companies before they have to try Electrabug - Home Owner, Somerset West

I feel obligated to post a review regarding this company as a warning to other unsuspecting customers. I phoned Electrabug after an internet search looking for beetle/electrical/plumbing inspection. I chose this company based on google reviews. They did the inspection at a very reasonable rate. BUT then hit you with an outrageous amount for the repairs. I called asking for a breakdown/itemized list of the costs so I could check the rates with a certified electrician or plumber. The total cost Electrabug had quoted just did not seem to match up to the minor electrical and plumbing repairs that were needed as per their list. The manager, Conan, said they will not provide itemized billing to the customer - it is their policy. (they do not want their prices compared). I called a registered electrician and plumber and PAID AGAIN FOR AN INSPECTION. The plumber and electrician that came to the house gave me a list of the same needed repairs as Electrabug (very minor, and plus a few extra that the electrician had noted on his list). However - they were literally less than HALF THE PRICE. Even with paying for another inspection I saved over R8000. I hope this helps others when doing their search for companies that deliver compliance certificates when selling your home. Home owner - Somerset West

Just a short addition: No, it is not the wrong company.The reason is that a trust was owner of the property. It is funny that this company wants to say OTHER companies taking clients for a ride. This review is probably the only real and not a faked one !Our house was renovated a few years ago.... with certificates. Now that I sold my house, I had to have new certificates. I didnt know why the estate agent recommended Electra Bug. So I took them. They were very professional, right. But the result was shocking. A list of 4 pages of defaults and a quote of more than R 20000 !At the end I took another engineer and the result was much different. Only 3 positions had to be changed. The costs were MUCH lower (R 1.200 !!!) and the certificate was cheaper as well.So why paying them if you can pay less and the defaults are not handled as a self-service/self-determing business of a company which - in my point of view - tries to ripp you off ! Sorry, did I say they were professional ?I cant recommend this company Electra Bug. If people recommend this company, be aware there might be some hands open.
