The views of Gordons Bay is magnificent 😎. The prices per night are very reasonable. I stayed in an Ocean Facing Standard Room and then upgraded to an Ocean Facing Apartment. I needed a desk, so that I could work comfortably. I got more than I bargained for.The apartment also had a Sleeper-Couch. It was definitely worth every penny, however, it never had hot water available.... You had to make prior arrangements, before taking a hot shower... Very disappointing, especially if you needed to get ready for work...

We were there a month ago and I was not all that impressed unfortunately. The room was very small and very cold. No heater/warmth. They were also renovating some other room so it was extremely noisy with hammering and drilling. I didnt rent straight from the hotel but... Maybe a better option in future. Front desk staff was friendly and polite. Room was just a big disappointment. Luckily I was there with the love of my life and he makes up for everything 😁💋

I booked a room with a balcony,did not get that.the room was cold,no heating options.Breakfast was cold when it got to the room,without utensils.I was just disappointed.looked nothing like the rooms I saw online.Construction work in the rooms next to mine.

The standard has dropped, presumably due to some difficulties during Covid.But it was tremendously disappointing to see the condition of the public rest rooms on ground floor. There was a horrid public toilet smell, which indicated faulty plumbing and one could see it had not been cleaned in a while.The hospitality however upon arrival was very good.

The most disgusting place ever. Filthy room, dirty curtains, dirty wardrobes, chipped outdated furniture, squeaky bed, and so much more. I was not prepared to sleep there and checked out of hotel 15 minutes after checking in. They were not prepared to give me a refund. Please do not book at this dump that they call a hotel!!!

I am reviewing the Ocean Basket restaurant that is on the first (reception) floor of the hotel. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it has sweeping views of Gordons Bay and across the Strand to Cape Point. A fabulous place to enjoy a jealous and watch the sun touch the Point as it disappears and lets night settle. The service and food at Ocean Basket does not fail. I have eaten here numerous times and its always franchise steady and reliable. Great beer on tap and a good selection of wines on offer. Enjoy while the waves wash up on the beach just a few metres away and wait for you to take a walk along the shore after a seafood meal.

Friendly helpfull staff, facilities neat and sufficient. Some basic maintenance items need attention.

Loved our stay at Ocean Breeze Hotel , Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were kept clean and safe parking. Best to book with the hotel is self. And ocean view room . Must have something to eat at the Cove pub and grill on the property.

Disappointing stay. Simple maintenance issues that cause patrons discomfort. Smoky corridors permeating from fire exits... Sliding doors without proper seals... Strand wind howling through it all night.

Beautiful view. A bit out dated but Ill definitely return. Nice and close to the beach, restaurants, as well as shops. They also have a pool.

A very enjoyable, albeit short, time spent from 07 to 08 January. Had a great time in the pool with the kids. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with GREAT views.Our rating would have been considerably higher had we not had the most horrific service experience at breakfast in your restaurant, on the morning of our departure. After being seated for well over an hour we had only received half of our order. It cannot be expected of one person to take orders, prepare meals and serve food at multiple tables. We felt terrible for the lady tasked with doing all this. I commend her for her efforts all while what appeared to be two managers were hovering around not really offering much by way of meaningful assistance.We plan to return next month and sincerely hope service would have improved by then.

Not bad. Adequate accommodation for 3 days only but not for much longer. Rooms are tiny. A good crash pad. But not much more than that.If youre coming and going all the time, its fine but youll not like it if the aim is to occupy it for more time than that.Shower 🚿 door not in a good condition, leaked all over the place. Flooded the floor incessantly. Constantly had to mop it up with a filthy old style spaghetti mop. No squeegee mop that I didnt have to touch with my hands after showering.No complimentary soap on arrival even and towels are so small, old and inadequate.No dish liquid to wash dishes even though this place is supposedlya self self catering establishment. Just a drop 💧 or two in a dirty old bottle.Bar refrigerator stank and did not cool anything adequately at all. Probably due to not being defrosted on arrival. Totally ineffective.But all that being said, this is stil a very good establishment otherwise.Staff could not be more helpful and more than friendly if they tried. Friendlier and more helpful establishments are wonderful to stay in and always a pleasure.Just a few tweaks and theyll be well on their way to being an even better hotel 🏩 in the future. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay with them. Then I had a great time. Thank you guys. 👍🏻😉

Lovely seaview....if you book a seaview just adk them not for a side view on the poolside cause it can get busy. If you like your privacy ask for the front side.

Just went to a hair salon in the hotel, but very impressed with the hotel reception and friendly staff who welcomed and screened me in. Not 5 stars due to the struggle for parking and dodgy folk outside. And because I did not use the hotel facilities...

The place was not clean and the smell was bad. Furniture in poor condition and smelly. STAFF was very helpful and always friendly.

Very bad. Room smoke infested, sound of wind affecting peaceful sleeping due to windows and door poor state. No mugs to make coffee. Had to move twice from room to room.

I like my cup of coffee in the morning, but there were only 2 sachets coffee and milk. Not enough for a proper cup of coffee. Surely you can afford to put more sachets coffee and milk in the rooms.

Absolutely PATHETIC! Definitely not what the pictures show... there’s no air conditioning, the bathrooms look disgusting, as if you can pick up some kind of disease! The room had a funny smell when I entered. When I turned the fan on dust came flying off!!The hotel lobby looks sketchy and the elevator buttons are faded. The windows are kind of moldy.Would definitely not recommend!

Family friendly and self catering apartment with 2 rooms separated by a standard size sitting room and a kitchenette . Our rooms were facing the sea. Cleaning staff was extremely friendly and helpful unlike the reservation desk who mixed up our online booking and refused us breakfast... I would recommend you make your own

The worst experience ever! False advertising!The rooms are old, cracky and dirty. I had to clean it myself before I started using the bathroom. No assistance at the entrance, no assistance at the reception area. Bedding and pillows are stained. Oh my most horrible experience... We had to beg for parking on arrival though we requested for it online. Ill never book there again or recommend it to others.

The room was not as the pictures on the site. There was a wall not completely painted with holes in the wall. Wires were hanging loose as if work was in progress. The fridge was not keeping things cold. The phone was not working and i had to go to the reception to to complain. The complaint was ignored by the manager on duty. The night manager John attempted to assist but was not able. He offered our breakfast on the house. However, my complaint was never resolved for the entire weekend. The Netflix was most not connected.

Service average.Rooms very poorly finished and maintained. Not a single fitting in the bathroom is fixed - all loose. Glasses and cup in bedroom dirty.Water running from the shower into the bedroom.In need of proper maintenance and management.

There was just to much wrong with my rooms. We move to another room

I am actually very disappointed, not in the Sea Breeze Hotel but in the privately owned room that I was in(room 507). First the room is separated from the next room(room 508) by a dividing door. You can actually hear what is going on in the next room. Secondly the light when entering the room does not work. The plaster on the ceiling where it was patched is falling all over the floor. When entering the room it was obvious that it was not cleaned properly. The en-suite bathroom does not have a window only a small air extractor. When we complained to the agent we booked the room from for not giving us proper information about the state of the room,she said it could not be helped. One plus point: The view is very nice. I definitely will not recommend booking from private owners in this Hotel. Rather book rooms from the hotel itself,maybe they are in better condition.

Love the Netflix option. It different with a great variety. Hotel needs a bit of work. But the rooms are very neatly kept and up to date. Milk/cream capsules will be nice instead of powder.

Nice place to stay at with secure parking and whats best is that if you want to grab a bite to eat Ocean Basket is just there to fill that tummy.

Nice hotel on the beach with Ocean Basket entrance from within the Hotel. Could you please consider putting in a heardryer and maybe air-conditioning.. Hallway smelled like sigaret smoke, but rooms was fine.

Wash basin did not drain well. Floors cold bring your slippers. Room OK but window did not lock and curtains were shoddy. Kitchenware was incoplete.

I just loved every part of my stay....the staff was awesome from the receptionist to the security & the house cleaning...big thanks to Amelia...the night reception guy that assisted me on arrival friday night....Damian for going the extra mile on Saturday and overal presentation of the hotel definitely will be back. You guys have a awesome team & the hotel is absolutely stunning ❤
