What a superb place to recover from an operation or any illness. This is the second time I have been there and have received nothing but the best care from the Drs, OT, Physio carers and catering staff.Dr Nikki visited me everyday and nothing was too much trouble.Trish my physio was fantastic and gave me the love, care and compassion that I needed which in turn helped my confidence and helped me gain the skills which prepared me for my home environment.Rachel made sure that everything was set up at home for an easy transition home and also helped me in all aspects. The carers and housekeeping were always smiling, willing and tremendously helpful to everything I needed. The food was outstanding, healthy, plentiful and always beautifully presented. What more can I say but,Thank you all so muchfor all you did for me during my stay with you, I will forever be singing your praises as I’ve never had better care. With love and deep gratitude to you all.FromSr. Bev Kelly (RN)

This facility is 1st rate. The medical team, nurses, therapists, carers, kitchen staff and cleaners could not be faulted.I spent 3 weeks there after complex spinal surgery and had many complications. I could not have been in more professional or caring hands.I am extremely grateful to them and to my medical aid for facilitating my recovery.

Only can give this place 1 star as zero stars wasn’t an option. This is a review of the Tokai Step down facility. From the get go services offered on their website were not available. No psychologist, no OT , no social worker saw my father. The staff are rude and incompetent. My 78 year old father went there to regain his strength post a month stint in hospital for Covid. Vitals were only checked twice a day. Doctors only saw him when I pushed for it and still said he was fine even though his blood pressure was so low it’s a miracle he was conscious. No one calls you back. Your concerns are berated by rude nurses. My dad called me to bring him soap as they didn’t even provide that for showers. When the emergency bell was pressed no one came for ages. When I managed to get hold of one of the doctors (it took multiple phone calls and threats) she told me they would train the nurses on giving out medication!!! Simple task as giving medication was not done properly. The list just goes on and on. Finally on day 4 of his outrageously low BP I insisted they call his physician and he was transported immediately to Constantiaberg. On full spectrum antibiotics, chest scan , ECG , iv fluids and proper meds given. His BP returned to normal within 2 hours. It is absolutely shocking. No names mentioned but a specialist told me that one day they are gonna kill someone in their care. I would not send my worst enemy there !

Staff at Fair Cape Health Rehabilitation Centre were friendly, professional and respectful at all times. The nursing staff were polite and always willing to help, eventhough busy. The carers were always cheerful and pleasant when handling my mother. The admin staff were highly efficient and showed excellent customer service when dealing with queries. Most reception staff were friendly. The dietitian, speech therapist and physiotherapist were reassuring when dealing with my mother and were clearly highly skilled in their area of expertise. The centre was always clean and tidy. The locum (not Fair Cape Healthcare staff) was friendly and knowledgeable, yet seemed to show a slight lack of experience when prescribing a medication without checking with my mother that she had the necessary equipment at home to take the medication. We were extremely satisfied in the efficient manner in which Fair Cape resolved the matter. I would highly recommend the centre to anyone in need of rehabilitation.

Impeccable facilities. Patient, kind, caring, professional, friendly staff. The calm & nurturing environment created is very much condusive to a speedy recovery process. The private rooms feel more like an hotel than an orthopedic rehabilitation clinic! Conveniently located. Quiet setting.

Started trying to get information from Faircape for a SARS audit since 07 May 2020, the 4th of June was the deadline. I was told that it would cost me between R3000 - R5000 for the letter SARS requested that payments was made to Faircape. After several calls and emails still did not get the information. Very poor admin service.
