The food and service was exceptional! Really enjoyed every second although I must admit that the comedy from Conrad was a little bit of a let down! It felt like he didnt practice or rehearsed at all! Otherwise if it was just a food joint then I wouldve rated it 5stars!

Hugely entertaining but food lets it down.

A night full of laughter. Various comedians were there. The mc was hilarious and interacted so well with the crowd. I will definitely go again. The happy hour special starts from 6pm to 7pm, this is a good way to start the evening. Awesome atmosphere. The food is just as nice, and a variety to choose from.

If you want to laugh until your sides hurt, this is the place to be. Amazing comedians, good food and drink.

Great place, great people, awesome acts. The only issue was our waiter Kevin. We came as 4 people (2 couples), ordered pizzas, one came first, pleasantly surprised at the fast service, until the couple who came with my partner and I, had to remind him about their food, he forgot to place it Im assuming. Also noticed how he kept forgetting to bring our order to the correct table, took it to both tables next to us,besides ours. Other than that, worth a visit! 5/5 for the place, acts etc but not the service/ waiter.

If you are overly sensitive, stay at home.Dont go here. If you have a sense of humour and love fun times this is a must!

I attended the show of my Cousin Donovan Goliath. Enjoyed it and loved the way you can have supper inside the place before the show.

The Cape Town Comedy Club is funny thats for sure however they disappointed with pathetic service and bland tasteless food.The venue itself is ideally situated and easily accessible.Sadly service on a Friday night was slow. We waited 30mins for drinks all of which were simple canned goods fast forward an hour later our food arrived. I find it inexcusable for the delay in service delivery it doesnt matter how busy the establishment is. Considering its festive season and year end functions in abundance being short staffed at such a busy time of year was a poor excuse.After the show we had to hunt for our waiter who too busy assisting foreign tourists to pay us any mind. When we eventually had to pay he seemed annoyed that we were splitting the bill.I will definitely try it another time but sadly its already left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I’ve been here on 2 occasions and both have been very memorable. The hosts are always so hilarious! They had a great line-up of comedians and performers. The restaurant and bar service can be a little slow but the food we ordered was tasty and had a good portion size. The only negative I can think of is that the bar didn’t have cocktails.This place is highly recommended if you want to have a good laugh!

We went there because it was next to our hotel and we didn’t have any plans for the night. I love comedy clubs, I try to catch a show whenever I can. It was a first for me to attend an african comedy show and I have really enjoyed it! It was a new experience and its worth it.

The most friendliest off staff from the time of arrival throughout the evening. The food was what I believe to be a local South African inspired menu, making me feel spoilt for choice, as I wanted everything on the menu! I opted for the pizza and it was delicious. Lastly the comedy for the evening was great, I couldnt stop laughing! I highly recommend the Comedy Club and I will be back again.

The manager was really unprofessional and not at all client oriented. My friend and I sent out castle lites back as they tasted flat. He then proceeded to come to the table and said the following you sent it back cos its flat let me show u its not he then went on to pour it in a glass and take a sip and then had the audacity to say I am a beer drinker . That is not how u treat customers at all. However a big ups to our waitress who gave the best service from the moment we walked in. The manager should take notes from her. Overall comedy was great !

What a cozy friendly environment. Tables chairs with a Stella menu to order from. A Lil something for everyone.The comedian line up never disappoints either.Pop in with your mates or dates and have a fun time with some good rhymes.The food aint bad either!Just pricy hence the 4 star. But good quality though.

The V and A waterfront in. cape. Town is renowned for its beauty, design layout, luxury apartments, and wide variety of establishments that offer a little something to suit anyone. As beautiful as it is I stay away during the day. So when offered tickets to the cape Town comedy club( the evening), I jumped. Wow so much fun, the comedy scene locally has been exploding and we are spoilt with the talent on offer. Lovely location, positioned near a parking garage, inside food is made well, service can take time but is non the less efficient and friendly. Can get full, so be sure to get there early. Great way to spend a night with friends and have a good laugh.. prices are reasonable for the waterfront. Check it out. Highly recommend

We came here to unwind and have a good laugh and did just that. Everyone on the line up had us in stitches. The staff were so friendly and the prices are reasonable. Even though there was load shedding, it didnt stop the fun. Best part is that you can actually make a reservation and use the entertainer app to get 2for1 admission and a 2for1 on any main meal. Definitely a must go.

Great venue for comedy in historic building in the heart of the waterfront Cape Town. The whole show was very well delivered and professional. The food and bar service are good and the staff warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Awesome place if you like Stand up Comedy, we were lucky enough to win tickets to the event, however It would of been worth every single penny should we had to pay for it.Super friendly (and funny) staff, great atmosphere, you can order drinks and a meal when arriving...Over all an amazing experience!

This is such an amazing place to come to for some comedy in Cape Town. For a night out with friends or to catch up or with your significant other. To come as a group would be super fun too. Whats great is that drinks and food is served and that is so convenient. Come and grab a bite to eat until the show starts. Great comedy and great laughs. Would love to go back!

Great place for a night out. Loads of laughs, and not too expensive. The food is decent enough. Get there early to get good seats, plus minus an hour before the show should do fine. Dont sit in the front row unless you want to be picked on. Although if you do you might get free tickets to another show.

They only serve pizzas on Sundays. Always make sure you arrive early to get your own table. Other than that good fun.

Enjoyed the show. Food was average. Dont like the dark dim lights so one cant see your food properly. Steak was requested medium.and it was well done. Calamari starter was look for the calamari so few strips. They fill your plate with chips thinking they will keep you happy. Not impressed

A wonderful venue for a fun night out! Its imperative to make a reservation and you can go as a couple, or with a group. The food options are decent - rather order earlier than later as when we were there, the kitchen ran out of several ingredients. There are veggie options. Pricing is decent. Service is excellent!

Easy to locate. Comedians were funny. Host was brilliantly hilarious!! Service was a bit slow came off unorganized. Which led to multiple incorrect orders as well as orders never received.However still a fun experience. We went for the silly season special on a Friday evening.

Was totally awesome for my first time visiting. Definitely a great place to do a date night. Everything under one roof food drinks and laughter!!!! We actually got to meet Chad Le Clos the Olympic swimmer what nice human being and his family (mom dad girlfriend and uncle) very friendly people

The host, Rob van Vuuren, was hilarious! Its situated at a good spot, the food and drinks are reasonably priced. Get there early as it fills up quickly and gets packed to capacity! Go with an open mind, kindness, willingness to be made fun of and be ready to have a good time. I will definitely go again! Only reason why I give 4 and not 5 starts, is because the loo is outside. Its clean and theres nothing wrong but I like my loo to be inside the building.

Great lineup of upcoming and seasoned comedians. Food on offer even caters for vegetarians. Very chilled vibe and because of the location at the V&A Waterfront, you can hang about and explore afterwards.

Food and vibe is great! The venue is held in the old pump house from the 19th century and its amazing to still see some of features in the venue. We were quite a big group and we couldnt stop laughing - the comedy acts are great:-)

Ive worked this gig for a long time. The venue offers top talent for a night of great laughs. Its a place where locals and foreign visitors can come by, have a meal and a great time. The venue is welcoming and the service offers fine fare. Shows start at 20:30 and entrance fee varies between R50 - R120.

The host was on fire, the 1st comedian was lit and the other 2 that followed need some polishing up to do other than that it was a great time spend. Ohhh yes their Pizza was mouth watering...

Ive visited Cape Town comedy multiple times and I have to say the comedians and local talent are definitely very funny and worth a watch... However, the menu never changes and the food choices/quality is very poor! Maybe tapas style food or snacks would be more suited to this place! I love the concept and idea of coming before the show to eat and drink but the chairs are so very uncomfortable! As far as comedy goes it is 5 stars but the food choices and quality and the seating really bring this place down!

The answer is in the name, its not the food club. The comedy was great. The service was bad. Great cocktails ? The barman told me they dont do that. Had to attempt to order 1 round 3 times. Waited an hour to order food, and eventually ordered at the kitchen. They include tip by default, read the menus fine print. . .even for two people. Not that we would not have tipped, but damn not exactly a tippable service . .Probably a good idea to have dinner at another place that has actual service, and then go for the comedy.

This was the best experience I have had in Cape Town, and I am a Capetonian. Online ticket booking system efficient, cheap food, reasonable alcohol prices and so much more. Entertainment at its finest, well done too the staff, management and comedic acts🙌

This is the funniest place in Cape Town, second only to Parliament! On the two occasions I visited. They bring local comedic legends such as Mel Jones and Chris Forrest to host nights and introduce local up and coming talent. We once had an issue with a dish that we had ordered, but the management handled it swiftly and stylishly.This is a great place to meet up with friends or people and break the ice. I cannot wait to go again...

I have visited this place a few times, the sound is not so great if you sit near the back, but its a great night out and lots of fun. Recommended

All comedians are not funny, food is not good, timeline for the afternoon show has to be redone as the interval between meals and the show is too long so very bored inbetween. just a reshuffle and change to the set menu for group packages and better comedians then will be revived again.

I had been to the comedy club 3 times before and was very pleased with the food, the atmosphere and the incredibly talented performers. I looked forward to a great 4 time lucky fun experience with my family tonight. I could not believe the downhill path it has taken. My hat off to the host who was very entertaining and I believe appealed to everyone. The other 4 entertainers including the so called headline act was an embarrassment to comedy and to talented South Africans. There was a large group of English rugby players as well as a group of young Americans in the audience. They must truly pity our pathetic country after listening to the rubbish talent that performed tonight that they were forced to listen to. I watched their deadpan faces and cringed in my seat. They played the race card all the time to a 90% white audience that wasnt amused unless they were drunk. I had hoped the food would at least be edible but no the expensive burger was a ball of overdone meat that was rock hard and cold and accompanying a thrown together wet roll with a few soggy chips. Horrible experience and will never be back. Another Cape Town spectacle managed into the ground by incompetent idiots.

The venue itself is great, bathrooms are outside however it was nice that they did have someone watching to see that everything was okay, the American acts were so disgusting and not funny at all. Id rate them a zero. Not sure where they found them. The South African comedians were funny. Show quality obviously depends on which artists they have. Be warned that the bill automatically has a 10% tip added to it which we did not know/is not clearly stated on the bill so our waiter probably ended up getting a 25ish% tip which is insane.

Had a very good time there, only down side was the steaks they had, 3 of the 4 on our table was not nice....its not a place to judge the steaks its a comedy club....I had the Gatsby and it was amazing and quite a lot of food. Deserts looked awesome and not bad coffee. The manager handled the negative vibes about the steaks brilliantly and we will all be back there again, and Im sure we will try the steak again.

The best sound in Cape Town for a jazz jam, by far!. House band also not too shabby 😉. Great pizza on a Tuesday jazz jam night.

The comedians were lovely. Mostly Afrikaans jokes and heavy references to South African culture. The food is great too.

Great experience, the comedy was hilarious, the food and drink was good and very reasonably priced. A very entertaining night out for under R500.

Fantastic experience. Been quite a few times with large groups of friends and would definitely recommend it. Beware going in smaller groups as youll probably get a table right in the line of fire 😉 The comedians love to get the audience involved which of course makes for great fun.

Great easy going live entertainment. Relaxed environment with simple adequate menu. Good value for money.

We have enjoyed a lot; also the food in this place is OK. South american accent is a little bit difficult to understand so we have missed quite a couple of jokes. However the headliner of that night was a magician and that we could fully enjoy! Totally recommended!

Shows are coordinated well.Chicken and pepperdew pizza was dry. I was expecting more for 120 rand to be fair.Not a bad experience, but the food lets it down.
