I spent 2 months in International House Cape Town and It was a amazing experience to learn in this school. The teachers and all the team are very competent and the atmosphere is awesome. Every weeks they organise some activities, its just impossible to stay alone, easy way to meet new people from all over the world. The school is also very well placed, close to shops, restaurant and also close to the sea. I really recommend it.

The company is out of business, due directly to Covid. Very sad as it was a very well regarded business in the international English teaching community.

The best school has teachers, teaches you the English language, it was nice to study in it for a period of time, I got to know everyone in the school and this was very easy, the school environment helped me do that, and I enjoyed the daily activities there.

I have been an intern at International House Cape Town for 14 weeks and it has been the best time of my life! The school is great, I learnt a lot and it has been a pleasure to be part of the IH family. The staff in the office works hard and it is always available for the students, they give their maximum effort for them. I went to CAPE TOWN on March 8th, I had a horrible experience because the accommodation that the school put me in MOJO HOTEL was horrible and I was robbed, not only me but several people who had their power banks and private things and in my case robbed $ 12,000 and $ 1063. The hotel treated my case with disdain and only said sorry we can not do anythingRooms opened without an electronic key and anyone entered the hotel and the cameras do not work, they are just for decoration. I activated the police and the two Egali schools in Brazil and IH inCape Town on the emergency phones they left for contact should a problem occur and when called in they also said they could not do anything about it. This happened on Saturday 03/16 at night and the police took 6:00 pm to get there and say that there was nothing they could do and the two schools also said the same thing they could not do anything. After having launched the Itamaraty and the Brazilian Consulate, I was able toSurviving the 3 month exchange plans without help and any support from anyone IH offered to change accommodation for a few days. Its been two weeks since IH called me to the Board where I was treated well by the principals because the staff at the school reception are rude and uneducated and mock those who do not speak English and treat you with superiority and are very poorly educated. Arriving at the board, IThey offered 6 weeks of free course for me to take the commentsNegatives thatMade on the internet, a good attempt to help me shut up my mouth, okay. Even with the proposal it was neither necessary norNecessary, because on 02/04 my father passed away and on 04/04 I returned to Brazil leaving everything behind and all my investments. It was my first exchange experience and it was the worst of the material losses and the lack of support, and even more the loss of my father who died without even knowing all that I spent in silence and alone in another continent and without help of ngm, I could not get to the burial time and that will always be marked on me. Unfortunate!

Dear fellow (want-to-be) world travelers,I’m writing this review because I know I looked at dozens of these before deciding to finally go for it and follow the English course at ih Cape Town. Now, after 4 months, I can tell you that it was the best decision I ever made! My experience was amazing, in all aspects, and I will tell you why! First of all, we’re here to learn English, so classes are important, luckily the teachers make it so easy and so much fun to learn together. The classes are small and cosy and with the teachers being to nice and helpful, the ‘boring’ classes are actually so much fun! Apart from that, all of the other staff members are so cool! They make you feel at home and are so much fun! My first days in Cape Town I didn’t really know what to do or where to go, and the school’s location and activity offer really make it a whole lot easier to explore the area and even go outside of Cape Town. I’m staying at the mojo hotel which is right across from the school, and even though I was scared to share a room with people I didn’t know before they became my best friends along the way. I hope that this review helped solve your questions, if not, be like me and read a few more, or contact ih directly (which I also did) they are super helpful!

I had a amzing time in Cape Town with International House Cape Town.

The institutes place is terrible in front of the sea in the Sea Point area, which is very helpful and they always help you if you ask for it.The institute has all the nationalities, but I advise you to study in the summer, most of which are Arab Saudis. I regretted that I was in the hall.

I recommend this language school. At the beginning I was also a bit skeptical due to the sometimes bad reviews. But what I learned is that the ratings are really very subjective. I had a fantastic time on site and would have loved to stay longer. Precisely because there are so many international guests, I was able to improve my English. Everyone was open, there was generally a funny atmosphere. Sure, many students are a bit younger, but there are a few older ones. For me it was not important to be able to drum up the whole dry theory again but to be able to have a lot of conversations. It was great fun and I liked the chosen topics from the teachers. I also loved my accommodation in Green Point. The only small point of criticism are the too small tables directly on the chairs. I personally always need a lot of space. The location of the school is unbeatable. So I think that the price / performance ratio is good and whether or how much English you learn is up to you. Thumbs up for the International House!

IH Cape town, its more than a school, its a place to learn English, its a home. From the moment 1 you are welcomed and integrated into this wonderful family. The team always willing to help you. From reception, through teachers, administration, to all the staff of the residence and apartments.I remember the charm of the always willing reception staff and Nicholas enthusiastic, motivated and motivating teacher of this great language.

I highly recommend this school to anyone who is in Level A1-B1, all higher level I would advise to attend another language school. This is not due to the quality of the teachers (which is excellent), much more to the infrastructure (neither right tables in the classrooms nor a room to study undisturbed) and the orientation of the school; There is a great focus on oral learning, which in turn means that there is never any peace. That would not be so bad if there was a place where you could learn undisturbed.Furthermore, the PSP (= Personal Study Program), one hour a day of self-directed learning, is a great idea but for students with a higher level, for the reasons mentioned above, only limited useful.

Unfortunately, I can not recommend this language school. I spent 2 weeks educational leave there. I chose this school because of the good online reviews. I assume, however, that the reviews are fakes. There are mainly very young students between 20 and 25 from Brazil and Saudi Arabia who participate in government programs. Students from Europe are almost impossible to find here. The equipment of the school is kept very simple. There are even classrooms without windows there.Classes are from 10:30 to 16:40 with an hour for lunch. On the first day, only a placement test will be performed, after which you will be sent home and no lessons will take place on Friday afternoon. So from 30 hours intensive course can be no question. A reasonable social program does not take place. The general organization is a disaster. Also, older students who had English many years ago at school were wrongly classified because the grammar is no longer so present but can speak much better compared to younger students.I was 2 years ago in another language school in Kapstatt Interlink this is only about 300 meters away. I chose another school for one reason only.At Interlink were only German and Swiss students and we have in the spare time only German spoken I wanted to improve my English.Compared to IH, the first language school was the much better and more competent school.
