Ive visited the civic centre twice in the last 6 months to renew licenses and apply for other motor related documents; on both occasions the service was outstanding and the receivers were professional, efficient, knowledgeable and very helpful. A Mr Gando assisted me on my last visit and he was really excellent. Thank you to the team for doing such a great job, im sure many appreciate it. Keep up the great work!

Exceptionally well kept and clean. Very friendly and helpful security and staff. Waiting area is spacious an comfortable seating. You want to visit this centre.

Bring your own pens!!! You can get your car registration done here.The government need to take time and put some effort here. The customer service isn’t that good although the security guard seemed to be helpful. Don’t come here expecting a quick pop in. There are no pens!!

For all your municipal queries and traffic disability queries all under one roof

Spent half a day trying to get my car license renewal sorted. Strict social distancing is strictly adhered to and implemented. Pensioners you are looked after well as you are seen to and sorted first, just make your presence known to personal. Absolutely beautiful interior dedicated to those who made a difference in our society .

Lots of parking if reserved and easy access from the parking into the building.

Covid protocols 100% security staff are friendly and knowledgable of the protocols and where to direct a person to.

The Motor Vehicle Licencing Deparment is overwhelmed and could use some exta hands. There are enough security and workers making sure that Covid-19 regulations are being adhered to, but the lines remain slow and takes about 4 hours to renew a motor vehicle licence, which is much longer than I feel safe to spend on this public activity. My suggestion is to extend the operating hours and rotate staff if necessary. The demand at this time of year (pandemic or not) clearly outweighs the supply. Dont make the problem worse.

You must get there at opening time if you dont want to stand in a very long line due to Covid regulations.

I am blown away by the amazing service! It was so quick and easy to get my license disc renewal. I waited for one minute before being served and the whole process took about five minutes. All I had to do was present my ID. Everyone was SO helpful and so kind. Thank you for your wonderful service and work!

Been in the queue to renew my licence for 3 hours. The queue has hardly moved for an hour and nobody is telling us what is going on

Waited in line for 2 hours only to be told they are only letting 10 people in... no license disk renewals between 13h30 to 15h00 just a heads up

Security at main entrance behave as of they are in charge of the place ,turn people away who have genuine business at the centre

Cape Town Civic center is one of the landmarks in the Mother City. It boasts huge pictures of old President Mandela as you enter the money City.Here you can do all your municipality enquires and payment including licence renewals, submitting of plans to booking chalets.

Que moves extremely slowly.

Friendly service, knowledgeable staff. I was at the license department and was done in 5 minutes. Honestly, amazing service.

In the past you stood in a que and were helped when you got to the front. Now you get a number A006, sit on a new comfortable colour ful bench and Amandla was AMAZING helping me renew all my licenses. Very impressed wow.
