A very clean and well maintained park to walk your dogs and for young children there is an awesome tree house. We went after a rainy day and it was lovely to see the canal flowing with water.

Much safer than it was when I was a kid. Just wish the ADT would patrol the area. Definitely not somewhere to be after dark. Definitely not a place to let you kids wander alone. (Lived next to park for 13 years)

Love this park for a relaxing stroll, some exercise and to enjoy the huge tree houses built for the kids to play in. The tree houses are a bit run down and needs some fixing up, but very calming environment for an afternoon outing with the family.

Quiet and scenic spot in the middle of the hustle and bustle of traffic. Flowing waters adds to the atmosphere. Lots of places to sit and enjoy nature.

I am in awe of this little sanctuary. An open park but as you follow the path its grown over with trees creating the most gorgeous picnic areas. Tree houses and other fun obstacles and swings for kids to enjoy. Its really well maintained and a beautiful spot for kids parties or just spending family time together.

Such a lovely park situated in the heart of Newlands/fernwood. Nicely shaded and a good variety of play.park equipment plus outdoor exercise equipment. This park is situated at Paradise motors, super convenient for the ice cream treat afterwards. There is a lovely tree house situated next to the river just below the park

Perfect place.. To absorb positivity.. And a fresh breath of nature.. I go here to escape.. Always a pleasant experience , little innocent kids and happy families seen around here on a weekend especially .. Perfect for photography and a little picnic for those who love the Mountain forestry View

Nice park with a variety of jungle gyms / tree houses. Can be better maintained. Not access controlled as it is a public park. No public restroom.

Awesome park for children and adults. My 4 year old grandchildren love to play in the treehouse. Peaceful and friendly environment.

We walked from our house in Claremont and bought a drink at Paradise Motors for the walk back!!

Loved the little treehouses. Very clean with a stream dividing 2 sections. Great place to bring kids to play and explore. Even better place to picnic. When sitting there you totally forget that youre surrounded by roads.

This is a great place to do a nature walk in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The equipment in the trees may not be the safest to allow small children on it.

This is a beautiful and well cared for park! The local community really looks after it and cleans up the river and the grass banks regularly. It is also busy undergoing a move to more indigenous plants, especially trees.It seems like the place is fairly safe and I see it is lit up at night too.Well done to the council and community on keeping this place innovative and clean!

You forget that youre in the middle of an urban area with bustling traffic around you as streams of water and thriving nature monopolize the soundscape. I found the area to be well protected with an ADT security guard at either entrance, and the playing areas were all in mint condition for the children to play on. If you live in the area like me, please dont wait 5 years before you benefit from this treasure.

Nice quiet and interesting place for kids to play. Only the toilet up at the garage is often out of order.

No bins policy is not always respected. Such a beautiful hidden treasure that depends on its visitors to keep it clean.

What a cute little park, lots of trees! There is a play park for kids and a few customised trees. Not big enough for jogging but great for a stretch or relaxing on the benches

Best to get on to M3 sooner. Traffic lights do not stay on for long to turn into m3 and traffic only allows 3 cars turning right at a go. Expect 12mins at that traffic stop.

Went with some friends on a sunday hike..paradise park was our half way stop..the place is awesome for kiddies princess or fairy parties.nice place

Set alongside a section of the lisbeeck river. Lovely natural park. Lovingly cared for by volunteers from the neighborhood. Play equipment made of wood and recycled material. Upper section behind caltex garage standard play equipment. As its along a river with steep embankments please make sure you dont go alone or in the dark / quiet times as dodgy characters sometimes sleep in this area.

Its really good for the family with kids when the people are not doing prohibited stuff (drinking smoking, etc.)

Good place to be

Paradise Park is on The Liesbeek Trail part of Liesbeek River. Its popular with young and old and everyone in-between as well. The area is favoured by families with small children. It is also a great area for bird watching.

Very nice place to have a picnic and take the kids. Maybe just needs a little bit of maintenance but its great.

Its OK well maintained but next to a busy highway so not very quiet

Beautiful and Child friendly, but as with any Child friendly place, constant responsible Adult supervision is Mandatory!

I just love taking my kids here its for al ages my smaller kids can run and ply around and the teenagers can sit in the tree house and just chill.
