Very rude residents in the area, the park is pretty but they have placed poles to restrict people from parking off of the road and in the park..The actual park is nice to hang out and take dogs!
We visited Aurora Park on a cool autumn day. It was raining lightly, so the park was quiet, in fact, we were the only ones there. It isnt fenced and entrance is free to the general public. It was well maintained, we felt safe throughout our time there and my children enjoyed playing on the playground equipment. Theres a seesaw, swings (small and quite uncomfortable to sit in) and a metal climbing frame. One aspect we love about Aurora Park is the beautiful view one has from there of the Boland mountains in the distance. The ground is very uneven in some places and there were lots of mole hills as well as a nearly empty dam, which has a steep bank. Those could be a challenge for visitors who use wheelchairs and could be dangerous for very young children if left unsupervised.
Wondefully quiet and peaceful park. Great for short, safe walks.
This Is a beautiful open space! As a commuting cyclist, it is safer to use than the tarred roads.*Unwarranted Cyclist Restriction*The rebel in me sees no trouble in using this as a safer thoroughfare home during a suburban MTB meander.
Lovely park with beautiful views.Pathways criss cross the park making a nice walking circuit.Paths and drainage pipes under the paths are eroding away at places.People please keep your non social dogs on a leash and carry a poop bag.Seen lots of owners not in control of their own dogs that cause a nuisence in the park.
