We watched the Minstrel Carnival from the Grand Parade in front of the City Hall. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves watching the troops pass by. The atmosphere was really jovial with the colours of the uniforms, the music and dancing. Each troop looked spectacular as they came up the road. Its an annual event that with more organisation and participation from the city can bring in more revenue and a more positive attitude about the Minstrel Carnival. There was food and beverages on sale and carnival accessories.

This is the place from which Nelson Mandela delivered his first public speech upon his release from prison. It has the Grand Parade opposite it. This is a very large public space in the heart of Cape Town. The Community Chest coordinates the annual Twilight Run and it starts and ends at the Parade. The significance of this event : a is a fundraiser in which companies enter employees who dress in colorful outfits to add a fun element to highlight the serious issue of social development. Community Chest does brilliant work in this regard.

Built in 1905. I went to see the inside of the building and said that there was no internal shooting on the day. The interior hall was equipped with a large pipe organ, comparable to the European music hall. Every Thursday there is an orchestra performance, so it would be nice to meet the time.
