On Saturday we had a bridal shower at 42 on Sonneblom. We were about 14 women and had such a lovely time. Everything, from the beautiful garden to the decor to the stunningly displayed grazing platters were on point. The staff was helpful and informative. Everyone knew exactly what was expected of him or her. This is truly a one of a kind establishment and I would highly recommend it again and again. Its a lovely venue, with at least 2 fire places (which is used on colder days), a beautiful garden with outside seating and for the coffee lovers...bottomless coffee 😉 And who can have coffee without a side snack? Tried the quiche today and it was delicious.

Product quality is exceptional, especially the wonderful butter and Yogurt. Pricing is also much lower than supermarkets. I try and buy everything I can here 1st, and for the rest I will then go to a supermarket. Also very friendly people!

Fresh, clean produce at reasonable prices. I personally love the health section as I can eat clean but still enjoy what I eat😁from Chia seeds to health rusks and health breads, everything at one click. Not to mention my absolute favourite non-guilty treat available OH SO SCHWEET Nougat bites.

Such a great little hidden gem of a place. The tables under the trees in the garden are a lovely cool spot to sit for a relaxing coffee or lunch break on a hot day, with some very comfy spots indoors too. The prices are very fair and affordable, theres plenty of scrumptious options to choose from, and the staff are very friendly. The decor has a nice vintage/craft feel to it, and you can enjoy browsing and buying a number of different goodies at the deli store.

Ah this place is a gem. Had something light to eat and coffee with a friend. Loved the oldschool furniture and chilled atmosphere.... oh and best of all.... the shop inside the house that sells backed goods, jams, nuts, sweets, homemade craft market type foods.... and at really good prices. Also thought the cats living on the property were cute, felt very homey. Just a side note, staff was in a rush to leave and we could feel it. They all ran out at once, making us feel a bit uncomfortable as to whether the place was still open or not. Our waitress also didnt know much about the menu when I had a few questions.

Once again, we had a lovely experience at 42 on Sonneblom. Enjoyed the grazing platter @R80/person. Excellent value for money. Platter consists of variety of cold meats and cheese, figs, makataan pieces, pesto and breads. I can highly recommend them.

Lockdown has required us to be a bit creative with blessing friends who had a baby. Usually we would draft a roster as friends and simply pop in to drop off a meal each evening.42onSonneblom made it so easy.
