There is a significant echo inside (lasting about 6 seconds), because of the type of concrete used to build it. It is big enough to seat about 600 people. It has a magnificent and prominent pipe organ from the 1930s, and choir stands. The roof is tall, and there is a belfry attached to the building.

It is the spiritual heart of Diocesan College and has great meaning for many Bishops boys.It is a large and imposing chapel.
Great acoustics, but horrible seating. Luckily, the concert we watched there was fantastic (Bachs St. John Passion).
