Shoo! MTNs service is beginning to work on my nerves - no-one gets back to you. I am struggling for 3 weeks to get hold of MTN, when i do they dont get back to me. I cant open a new contract - waiting patiently and the people i have dealt with are lazy.

First time Ive gone to this branch, never again. Have an issue with a brand new phone (Still not sorted). Booked the phone in for repairs and was told they will contact me within a week with feedback. That was the nice and easy part. I thought, cool, good and easy service. Boy, was I wrong.I waited almost 3 full weeks, nothing. No feedback. Went into the branch to find out whats going on and they dont even know. Staff couldnt log on to their system because of an expired password. I mean.. What??Was then told again that they will contact me the following day with an update, its been almost 2 weeks yet again.. How the hell do you do business? Whats so difficult about just giving a person an update?? Pick up the phone instead of doing nothing after you tell me that YOU will get back to me.Also, answer your phones, thats what they are there for!!

Ive been there twice in the last 10 days for two separate business transactions. On both occasions I was treated in a friendly yet businesslike manner. My transactions were processed in a very efficient manner and although the process took about 1.5 hours on the first visit that included the staff transferring all the apps and data from my old device to the new. The second was a mere 45 minutes which included the fitting of a a custom cut screen protector.All in all a very good quality experience.NB the store telephone number and operating hours on Google are WRONG. Dont blame the store or staff if phones are not answered. Its Googles fault.

This is the second or is it the third time Im using this store for my upgrade....The staff is always helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable on the product range. They took their time to explain the product choices I had in my price range and left there a happy client once again. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone.

One should have the option of awarding zero stars!Three years ago I tried to port my number to MTN. After three months they were still not able to implement this request, so I thought that there was no point in trying any further.Last Sunday I attempted that the same again, only god knows why! The Port this, time around, was carried out within 26 hours. I thought this time around MTN has improved their service.just to be disappointed minutes later! I was RICA blocked!!!! I requested the port in store with my ID and proof of Address as instructed!?The customer care line should be stripped of its title as it does not relate to in any way to customer care. Please do not try to phone any MTN store as nobody ever answers their line. It seems as if this has remained a constant within last three years!My business-cell number is still off line as I have not managed to visit a store yet. I do have a job that requires my attention. Business associates who do not have any of my alternative numbers were not able to contact me up to now.Dear MTN management, I hope that I just happen to be unlucky when requesting your services! If you have numerous of these complaints I would suggest that you should improve your customer care !.

Incredible service from Waseem Abbas. He really went the extra mile to help me get wi-fi up and running in my Air BnB before my guests arrived. He kept me informed constantly as we tried to get my new contract approved by MTN and gave me his direct email address and cellphone number. Waseem, you are a winner! MTN general customer service by telephone is absolutely dreadful though.

I would like to congratulate MTN Blue Route mall on their very professional and helpful service. I recently had to upgrade 2 phones on contract and experienced the best service I have ever had in Cape Town. Portia was polite, friendly and extremely professional. As was Dane who helped set up the new phones.I was expecting the normal painful experience and left the store in such a good mood. Well done! MTN has the best service [when your at the store]. They have the best airtime and data deals. The people helped me a lot when I was at the store. They helped me figure out what my number was, since I didnt know my number. Now they do need to get it together about the calling people I have to admit, but when youre there, they help you a lot.

Handed in a faulty phone. 2 weeks later they have not done anything yet!!!! I tried to get hold of them, however nobody answers the phone! When we went to the shop we were informed that the phone was still there and not sent away yet!!! No feedback was given even though we were told that they would keep us up to date. There should be a minus scaling rate available. Pooooor pooorrr service!!!!!

Took a ticket in your Queuing system. Sat down, waited for my number . When it came up I was told no some other lady was in front of me ( I completely understood because she was physically there waiting as I entered and maybe had not taken a number) HOWEVER two ladies then walk in and dont take a number and sit down with an employee who had been previously helping another customer, I asked and confronted your employees asking them why I now have to wait when another customer is being helped who had literally walked in . I was told no they were in the shop earlier on today, yes all good and well but they werent waiting like we were waiting in the line. ( so in theory i can take a ticket , go for breakfast , and come back later and say no i was here earlier see I have a ticket, you must help me now before everyone )I asked to speak to a manager , was told they were not working that day ( strange the store is being run without any manager ? not even a stand in)I then asked if they can contact me ( mean while your employees are laughing and snickering because I am visibly irritated and this situation must be funny for them ) left my details for the manager ( name, number, date ) and to this day I have not been contacted.I wish a 0 star rating could be given.

Went in to get my upgrade - After waiting in the queue for 15 minutes I decided to ask one of the floor salesmen to check that they had stock of the phone I wanted, just to make sure I wasnt wasting my time. He checked, asked the manager and assured me they had stock. I waited an additional 55 MINUTES, got to the front, asked for my upgrade and got told there was no stock. The absolute uselessness of the Blue Route store leaves me speechless. The (completely) incompetent manager just stood there with a blank look on her face. Oh and I phoned before I went, to check if they had stock, but nobody answered the phone.USELESS - UNACCEPTABLE - INCOMPETENT

This is a real problem, regarding the lack of communication between business and customer, after reading the shocking reviews on MTNs terrible service I decided to give them a call.. Guess what nobody answers the phone at this store. The website is horrid and really not very helpful. Sometimes people just want to talk to a human instead of robots on automated systems. I hope that someone sees this and advises the store about what people are saying.Get your s**t together and speak to your customers

The service from MTN is shocking. First my phone is cut off without warning then when I try and call the call centre I am told that it has closed down and I must use the voice prompts when using the voice prompts I am told I cannot be helped.So I then try and call the branch in Blue Route and no one answers the entire day.Absolutely disgusting service and to think I have been a loyal customer for the last 14 years.

Service is slow.Waiting period about 30 to 45 minutes. I went ther to get a new SIM card coz I got a sms from MTN.I had to pay for the SIM card even tho the sms says its a free SIM.The guy that works ther did the SIM swab and every thing and didnt even tell me that I would lost all my contacts.

I feel like 1 star is an over achievement for this store.All they give you is false promises, shocking time keeping and absolute shocking service. We purchased a phone (Samsung S9 +) and went wrong a few days later. We were told the assessment will take 7 days, After 2 weeks we went in to only be told that they were busy with stock take and the phone hasnt moved from the store to the assessor. So i gave them the benefit of the doubt. A week later we went there and the phone still had not been sent!!It has now been a month. I went to the store this past weekend and dealt with the only staff member that seemed to care, She escalated the issue and said they would contact us Monday for an update which they did - They were still busy assessing the device and will revert back on Tuesday morning first thing. we are still waiting to be contacted for the device.How is it possible that i am paying for a phone for the entire month that i cannot use, Im not here to support MTNs lack of understanding, communication and customer service at my cost!!!I made sure to capture pictures of the staff and their lack of customer engagement and just being down right rude (Cant get off the couch to greet me or take their eyes off their Facebook Page when im trying to talk to them). I have also recorded all conversations and communications with all their staff which i will now be sending to Rob Shuter and Godfrey Motsa. Along with the customer consumer protection act that they have violated.This is unacceptable and would highly encourage people not to go here or event consider MTN as a whole.

The worst service I have ever received. I have been waiting two weeks for another store to deliver my phone to the Blue Route branch. When I enter the store to make a query they can not inform me as to how long the phone will take to be delivered and do not even have the contact details of their suppliers. Do not even try to phone the store as nobody ever picks up and do not speak to a manager in the store as they are useless as well. my advice would be avoid this store at all costs and if possible make use of another network provider.

Where to start, firstly as everybody has indicated here they never answer the phone at all so if you need to query about anything you have to drive all the way to Blueroute...what a way to run a business.Secondly, and this is the real reason for my 1 star... when my grandfather took out a contract for me in his name and even after explicitly writing MY previous number down on the document for porting numbers from vodacom to Mtn they managed to port my grandfathers number onto my new phone... Leaving him without his number he has had for years.If you need to go to an MTN, do not go to this one.

I went in for an upgrade last week.Was told that system was down but that I qualify for an upgrade and that the MTN350 package is the same as my expiring MTN500 package but would increase from R649 per month to R829 per month with a once off fee of R100 for the upgrade.I was asked to sign some forms which I did. I asked if I needed to read them first and was told no, only lawyers read them and they sign anyway!I left the store and then received a sms from MTN to say that the upgrade had been approved. I also received a message from the store.I then received a sms from MTN to say that my credit limit had been reduced to R657 and that I could no longer make outgoing calls.I immediately went back to the store but they were unable to help/advise.I have now called 808 probably over 50 times and they to cannot assist.I am told that ITC Vetting says that R657 is all I can afford!!Not once has anyone asked me for my expenses vs income.My Credit Limit prior to the upgrade was R3 159.How can I be sold a package costing R829 per month only to have my limit reduced to R657!?Why was I not told that I would now incur additional costs - my invoice for this month now stands at R1400 and increases every time that I am not linked to wireless.A supervisor, I unfortunately dont have her name, promised to call me back last week - Im still waiting.I left a message for the Credit Controller to call me back, Mr Lewis - Im still waiting.I am told that the MTN Store Manager is aware of the situation but no call from him.If anyone from MTN reads this could they please call me.Thanks19/8/2015Craig at the store, with the help of a lady at MTN Century City, has sorted the problem - thank you. Now just waiting for a credit in respect of the additional charges I incurred.
