Built in 1858 with services conducted in both English and Spanish, this is one of the older churches in the southern suburbs.The church was designed by George Ransome and built of local stone by Italian Stonemasons from Simonstown and the local Filipino Congregation.

Beautiful old stone church with lovely stained glass windows depicting Catholic saints especially St James behind the altar with the Child Jesus and Mary.The parish priest is Fr Mark Pothier.Sunday Mass is at 9am. There is also Mass at 5pm on Saturday and at 8:30am during the week.

My family belongs to this parish and dad passed away on the 3rd January, Father Andrew was so very helpful in planning the service , it was a beautiful day in a beautiful church... and the mass was so moving , thank you to Father Andrew
