Love the idea of having a restaurant in an art gallery! You are literally surrounded by art while you dine. All of which is available to purchase. The art is also changed out every week, so if you visit again, there will be something new to see. The restaurant serves a great burger and the staff are friendly. The bathroom is light, clean and neat.

Nice restaurant, reasonable prices, light, healthy meals, good coffee, friendly service. The ambience is great, the art around the restaurant beautifully displayed. The only thing that could improve the place is a nice outside area.

What a pleasant surprise. We had a wikideals voucher for breakfast and drinks. We ordered eggs Benedict which were served to perfection on pastry. The atmosphere was great being in an art gallery playing nice African music. Talent who served us was very friendly and provided great service. Definitely worth a visit

Very nice casual space, and friendly service. Found Hot Skillet when I was looking for a black-owned restaurant to have lunch at in Cape Town. Had a steak, with a seasoned butter, but was a bit disappointed with steak which lacked seasoning and seemed a bit dry. Would have benefitted from more of a sauce. Otherwise, would try it again on another visit to CT, and try something else.

Food is good, but pricey (yay, Cape Town CBD). I was also extremely disappointed that it took 50 minutes to prepare a hamburger. No matter how thick the patty is (that was their excuse), it shouldnt take that long. The show at youngblood had to be delayed so that everyone could receive and finish their food. And I have an issue with being told to pay for everything upon ordering, before receiving anything. No wonder there is no incentive for good, quick service. So this is your warning: if you eat here before a show, give it at least 90min total.
