Excellent service and well maintained vehicles

Our Toyota Land Cruiser 79 was very reliable and fully equipped with two surprisingly comfortable tents and loads of camping gear. The only minor flaws we noticed were the very used hand brake and the malfunctioning battery system which didnt really affect our overall travel experience, partly due to the great responsiveness of the whole Saayman team. True professionals!

Absolutely amazing service and product!! We went up to Namibia using Saayman Car & Bakkie Hires fully equipped Land Cruiser. Their prices are very competitive they include literally everything you can think of for a camping trip! 10/10 customer service and the vehicle made our trip one to remember. We unfortunately had a crack in the screen and they sorted it out with minimal fuss and without causing a financial headache. We will 100% be using them again for our next trip up to Mozambique.

Dont rent a car here!! I lost my deposit because we extended the rental and the proper T&C’s were not explained to us. R4000 gone and no-one in management will see me. They hide behind the rental staff and refuse to try and resolve the issue. Instead they just didn’t refund our deposit!! STAY AWAY!!!

We rented a car on April 20, 2019 while on hollidays in Cape Town. We returned the car on time and were assured we would get our deposit back within less than a week. About a month down the road we still are still waiting for our money despite several phones calls and email exchanges. We wonder if this being done on purpose to get customers (especially foreign tourists) to give up.

I give them 2 stars because their bakkies are branded with Saayman car rental branding.This is a bit disturbing because we are already paying R470.00 per day for the bakkie + a deposit meanwhile we are driving branded vehicles advertising their business.The other thing is that, the free 200 km per day would have been better if it was a free 400 km per day at that amount. The reason for that is that, we are helping this rental company to grow by driving branded vehicles from point to point.Give us unbranded vehicles and charge us the same amounts or give us branded vehicles and increase the free 200 km per day to 400 km per day. By that we will be happy to be part of your grouth.In this case, we dont really any value in growing your business by driving a branded vehicle with the fuel I paid.Otherwise, when one looks at your service, your rental business is expensive. May it is best for me to make comparison with other companies around in the near future.Otherwise, the professional levels are very high. This is the area of excellence.

I rented a kombi in 2009 from this company and I must say the service even then was great. Ill be visiting them again soon to see how things are.

Was a longstanding customer with Saayman for a number of years and then their system changed. Not a problem until we were to return our vehicle on a Friday just before 5pm. We phoned and said we might be 5 min late. No problem they said, deliver on Saturday. So we deliver on Sat with a different driver and then they take our R3000 deposit (which they had sat on for over 6 months) for using a different driver. Sure it says that in the contract but what a disgusting, draconian response to a regular client! Ive taken my business elsewhere.

I rented the Land Cruiser bakkie fully equipped for 23 days last november.We did almost 7000 km crossing ZA and Botswana without any kind of problem.They are really professional, Rika could help for every kind of question and now with others friends we are still reserved two cars for others 6000 km.Absolutely recommended!!

Advertises for R250/day. Fine print added another R250/day for insurance. All in all a terrible experience.
