Turns out my Nissan Qashqai has a Renault engine and as per Renault quality is falling apart with parts not available and costing a fortune. Then I call you for a timing chain quote on your own engine and you cant help, because it is a Nissan, but has a Renault engine. Nissan is quoting R10K for a chain!!! Masterparts is R2 300 for the same chain. You and Nissan should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!!! Disgusting!!!

What a refreshing and welcoming experience. Service was excellent. I had just bought a RENAULT Duster from another dealer and wanted to check on a couple things regarding its service history, and was looking for advice. Walked in with no appointement late in the afternoon, and was met with a friendlness and and a willingness to answer my questions and give adviice. Especially appreciated Chris, from the workshop. Long story short, next day car was booked in to change oil and some filters, and work completed with in an hour while I waited. I also felt that the priceing of both parts and labour was fair and reasonable, in my opinion good for an agent. I am a firm believer in ensuring the right oils and filters are used - especially in a diesal . (You can go cheaper but then you get what you pay for)I will definently be taking my car back there when due for its next service..Well done to the services department team at Renault Tokai.

Good service & friendly staff. I did find it frustrating to book an appointment over the phone, I was unable to get assistance. I had to physically come in to book my appointment. Lots of back and forth to find the issue. Janine assisted me and she is very professional - a good experience over all. The customers are not allowed to use the wifi though which sucks, most customers are working professionals so it would be nice to catch up on some emails while you wait for your vehicle even most retail shops and malls have wifi available for customers

What a great bunch of people!I took my car in for the 90km service and it ended up needing urgent repairs done to the engine. The quote arrived quickly, the team knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done and Narimah was incredibly helpful, efficient and warm. I had to leave my car there and get a rental. I was advised that the repairs + service would take about 4 working days (It was already Wednesday, so Id have to rent a car for 6 days to accommodate the weekend).I received a surprise call from Narimah the next day, saying that the team had worked late into the evening to get my car finished earlier. My car was fixed, serviced, cleaned and handed over with a warm smile on the Friday, to help me save costs on the rental.Thank you, Narimah and the rest of the team, for your efficiency, attention to detail and heartfelt smiles.

Bad service ...I really had a bad experience here ...the workshop kept my car whole day and when they released my car they couldnt even drive it out to me due to no organisation on the ramps ...bad , bad , bad....I need my car Im a businessman so why do a person have to drop ur car before 08:00 and then only get it back by 16:00...very extremely poor customer service , Renault Tokai cant even provide a lift from when u drop ur car to ur house and PIC up again when they done.. The place really need new management or a new staff so to say ...Very poor customer service .. Rating is excually 100% below any rate that ever existed very bad very bad very bad customer service

Ive taken my car for a service here for 3 years straight now and hands down the best service. From signing in your car to being phoned that your service has been approved, updates and ready for collection - everything is 5 star. Would recommend the Tokai branch over and over.

Its a very generous two stars!!I enjoy my Renault vehicle so much so we got my wife one. But after sales service is shocking absolutely shocking.We had my wifes windows tinted through Renault before we took possession of the vehicle. When we receive the vehicle we noticed that there was a hash in the rubber door needing the inside drivers driv panel was not fitting correctly. We reported the problem to Renault and as requested sent pictures and took the vehicle back so that they could view the problems. Renault said that they would repair the problems and that they would repair it and the rubber will be replaced.This still has not happened the vehicle went for its 15000km service and I again mentioned all the problems and showed the gentleman that we were handing the vehicle over too he assured me that it would get sorted out. The door panel was secured but in a very tacky manner with glue that was/is very visible to all with out a close inspection (rubber still not replaced) we have given up as trying to get assistance was more stressful that its worthWhat has brought me to this rant is that I have tried to make an online booking for a service of my vehicle last week and to date no communication at all the date that I selected has come and gone they have not contacted me to arrange a better or different date. The automated message said that I would be contacted and a date and time would be confirmed. NOTHING NOT A HOOT.BUT I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING ADVERTISING VIA EMAIL FOR NEW VEHICLES.I dont need a new vehicle the vehicle that I currently have just needs a service(Again this is in no way knocking the Renault brand and vehicles and if you are thinking of getting a Renault I would recommend it any day of the week.)After sales support and services needs a great deal of improvement!

Booked vehicle in to replace brake pads as advised at last service 6 months ago. No stock today. Surely you review job cards before the day...I could write a book on Renault service or rather lack thereof. Nice cars poor service. We have owned four Renaults over the last ten years and service has not improved so I think we are on our last Renaults.

Professional, good service. Lounge area for the client , Reading material , coffee, tea, milk, and sugar, self service while u wait. Water cooler and glasses as well. Toilet facilities meet the health and safety criteria. Disabled facilities catered for. Kia motor offices are. under the same roof , at the back. I had my car for a service.

Probably the worst service I have ever received... cars been there for over a month now undergoing a service, with constant promises of when my car will be ready and constant promises of follow-up calls that never happen, Ive had to call them every time to get feedback. Saying that I am disappointed with the quality of their customer service is an understatement.

Update: 16/01/2020Very happy with the service I received today, the feedback and updates. All my requests were recorded and fixed. It feels like a new car. Consultant and Technician gave updates. I am a happy chappy again. Loving my Renault. 4 Stars because my car slept overnight and I had to sort out alternative transport and the smell of sewer waste outside the building. 2 Thumbs up Renault Tokai.................Previous Feedback: Extremely disappointed, even after 1 month still no follow up call. It was my 2nd service, Renault Duster 2018/2019 I asked them to check a shudder on the clutch, light bulb, my defective wipers and renewal of crystal vue. Arrived at 16:30, items were all ticked off and in working order.... When we doubled checked, he admitted it wasnt working, But no one looked at my service request requirements or checked them. Argued with the sales guy... But nothing. Apparently even having defective wiper blades under warranty, they cannot replace it as they must wait for the vehicles anniversary and crystal vue is nothing but a liquid in an air freshener bottle. Feel cheated.

Very poor client service, attention to detail and technical performance. A handful of Itemised faults were listed by me when the car was handed in for the 30,000km service. Low tyre pressures were not detected or corrected. Even windscreen washer liquid was not topped up. One or two poor, glib answers to faults they could not address, and in fact, none were corrected. Fast to ask for customer feedback (I was phoned after the service, and repeated very carefully all the issues I had, and no one got back to me), but poor in dealing with any constructive feedback. I then raised the complaint to the Dealer Principal a week later (2 August 18). Nearly 6 weeks later I still await a reply from him as well. Very poor. Recommendations for another Renault dealer closest to Peninsular area?[I note the apology of the DP on this site 20 minutes after my 1st post. However the situation he asks to be informed of, is very clearly documented in email to which he is copied 6 weeks ago, and which he himself ignored. I do not want words of comfort for public benefit, but their proposed action. The facts are already clearly documented by me. I do not wish to waste time on platitudes, but look forward to their solutions, not meaningless PR media...]

Seems only when they making a sale they are excellent. Their mechanical work and service itself is the worst i have ever experience. For the past 2 years of serving my vehicle there they did not switch off the service light and they didt sign my book. Service is coming up again and I am dreading taking my car back there. DISGUSTING!!!!Not to mention when i had my radiator replaced. I drove off and my stone tray flew out from under the car and my top bumper clips was missing, not 1 or 2 but all of them.I cannot understand how they are still in business.

I bought a Renault Kwid in March 2019 , upon delivery of the vehicle I was not given the spare key .Despite numerous requests for the spare key , all we have received so far are empty promises from the salesman .An order had apparently been issued for the spare key on the 28th June .It is now the 25th July , how long does it take to procure a simple key ?I am a workshop manager for an international company , if I require a spare key for one of my 30 trucks I receive a key within 4 days from Renault Truck Division .Needless to say I am not impressed with the after sales service at all .

I had a bad experience with renault tokai for the 1st time ...I believe it is not the franchise itself with the problem however certain individuals like Janine who handled my booking I feel that she was dispectful and undermining towards me ..she advised me that my car would be ready for collection the latest monday the 6th of may19 ...I brought my car in on the 30th apr19 ..and when nobody phoned me to say my car was ready for collection I called renault and was advised someone will call me.. no one called .. and then I contacted them again the next day with no luck was advised someone would call me back .. and when no one called I went there thursday the 9th myself only to find out that my car was fineshed and ready for collection monday already .. but the lady who was supposed to call me and let me know ..(Janine) did not call me ..Had I not gone there myself my car would still be there ..I am extremely disappointed with the kind of service I received from you guys its appalling ..I would like to also thank Abdulah for doing a great Job when I brought my car in for service in march19.. He did not only demonstrate His technical skills but people skills as well.. something Janine can learn from Him ...thanx..

Horrible service! Took my car for service for the first time after I bought it, got stuck on my way home. My car wouldnt move! Contacted them and I was advised nothing is wrong with the car! Really?? I had to request a tow truck to move my car.My last service , I was out of service warranty, no sms, no email, no nothing to remind me for extension up until TODAY! A week after my service, my break pads are now starting to make a sound :(. The price we have to pay for our skin colour !!!!!

Booked my car in for a service the morning. Everything was going well as I received a call regarding chips to my windscreen and they arranged with my scratch and dent policy insurance to have it repaired. Received a call to collect my car. Got there and my laniard wasnt on my keys and nobody seems to know what happened to it. A gentleman at the front deak said he would look into the matter tomorrow morning and ensure the get back to me. Got my report on the vehicle and my mud flaps arent fitted as they arent the ones my vehicle uses (bearing in mind I got the mud flaps from the dealership I bought the car from who purchased the mud flaps from Renault Tokai). Theres a note that states due to water restrictions my vehicle wasnt washed ( this is perfectly understandable) but they will clean the inside and vacuum. My car was not cleaned inside or vacuumed. Theres sand all over the sides, between the seat, on the seats and by the cup holders. Im not exactly sure what went wrong but I do hope that this isnt the service I get in the future. Not a happy customer

Re: 2016 RENAULT CLIO 900TI have been having a problem with Renault Tokai since 04 December 2018. I booked my vehicle in because the paint in the front of the bonnet was flaking. I was second in the queue and was told by Christiaan it would take about 2 hours to get done as the panel beater would have a look at the vehicle before any work could be done, as it was still under warranty and Renault has a 6 year no corrosion warranty.I left the workshop and was trying to get hold of the workshop since 11 am that day to find out when the car would be booked in again to fix the bonnet, but there was no response and the phone kept ringing. I then went in the workshop at 2 pm only for Christiaan to tell me that the panel beater did not have a look at the vehicle as yet and he would be there by 3 pm. I waited and when the panel beater looked at the vehicle he said there had been spray work done on it, thereafter Christiaan said that Renault would not uphold the warranty as work had been done on the vehicle. I then asked to speak to the manager as the person who sold us the car, Denzil, no longer works at the dealership. Christiaan said the managers werent in and they would give me a call once they arrive.When left the workshop I sent an email to Renault South Africa, at which time they redirected the email to Hubert of Renault Tokai and to give me feedback and to rectify this mess.I did not hear anything from him or anyone so I called back on 07 Dec 2018 around 9 am and asked to speak to the manager at which time they directed my call to Duncan. Duncan said he would handle my matter as Denzil no longer works there, he also informed me he would have to speak to the dealer principal and would call me back around lunch with an answer. He did not call back.I called again on 24 December 2018 to speak to Duncan, but they said he just stepped out and would give me a call once he returns. I did not receive any call back.I called again on 27 December 2018 to speak to Hubert and was told he was in a meeting. He did not call back.I called twice on 28 December 2018 to speak to Hubert, but was told he was in a meeting on both accounts that being 09 am and 4 pm. He did not call back.I logged a complaint with Renault SA and was told the matter would be escalated, but to date still no response.I tried Renault Tokai again 02 January 2019 and was told Hubert was in a meeting. He did not call back.I contacted Renault SA 3 January 2019 and spoke to Layla. She also said the matter would be escalated so hopefully it gets done now.Keep in mind we did not do any work on the vehicle (spray painting), and if they disclosed that information to us prior to purchasing the car we would not have bought it. The only thing that was disclosed is that Renault Tokai received the vehicle from Imperial Select.Reading other reviews I can forsee a response like,I am sorry to hear about your negative experience we would like to make right and restore your confidence back in the dealership.

Car went in for service. Service done in good time. They phoned twice while they had car to try sell add-ons - wheel alignment and windscreen chip repair - which were not necessary. Car returned with handbrake cover broken and rear horizontal passenger seat dislodged. Rear passenger seat belt clips had been put under the passanger seat; took us a while to find them to strap in our children.
