STAY AWAY...Tableview Battery Centre Cape Town..Went to get battery for my Clio, I was quoted a price of R1300, I then requested the price for the same battery excluding my old battery as a hand in on the price, he quoted me R1600. I then said I need to phone my normal supplier to compare pricing, the persons co-worker decided it was apt to laugh at me and ask me why Im not able to buy their battery and if I did not get a bonus this year.(I have never been to this business nor do I know either of the employees, I phoned Supa Quick in Montague Gardens who quoted me R1200 including my old battery and R1400 excluding a hand-in. I went back into battery Centre and asked them if they can give me discount, again the man behind the counter laughed at me, when the person that was helping me suggested a battery for a couple of hundred rand less suggested that he just ring up the battery we discussed initially for R1600 as I was getting aggravated by his co-worker, he rang it up and brought the battery out - Total is R1900 sir, you can assume I simply said that I was not interested! as I walked out I left the two people laughing (Im using the term People very loosely here, they simply lack any dignity or respect that they should have, and are as mature as primary school kids. Im amazed that with this utterly rude attitude that they are still in business..

Paid for overnight charge , next day they told me it was fully charged and good to go. battery is dead . im not even sure they attempted to charge it as i was not given a print out which im told is standard practice.

I really have to thank the staff of Battery centre Tableview. They have always been friendly with a good service, helped on advise and checking of batteries for free savings costs, the majority of the time been able to supply batteries, for my vehicle, quad bike, UPS supply for my PC even a 6v battery for a camping light not to mention the 1972 Merc I had which i had the generator changed to a alternate, they were able to check change a part at a fair price. Please keep up this good service, i do always recommend them were i can. Mr D. La Grange from Duynefontein.
