They have everything you need in the line of boards. Help is friendly and they know their products. They make a plan if you dont need to buy a monstrous sqare of board if you only need a smaller section. The reception area though can do with a bit more streamlining for the quick buyer.

I did review on Cape Boards saterday for poor service but it was not for Cape Boards, the owner of cape boards contacted me to resolve the issue and during our conversation I realised that it was not Cape Boards. My interaction with cape boards has not been one of the best as I see from other reviews. I did not get a cutting board layout, as you can see I have a huge piece of wood against the wall of ‘leftover’ wood. Which I could of asked them to cut so I could utilise it if I had known the amount left over. The board grain was wrong after confirming on email, call and in person at their factory. It’s tiring and I’d rather go pay an extra R40/board at Builders which provide you with the cutting layout before they process the order. As you can see by the cutting layout I received afterwards, there is wasted wood and at my cost. The workers don’t mind banging the boards on the tar as it’s not theirs, they just work there. Not happy with cape boards and management should reconsider who they employ and their capabilities of layout and design.

Went to ask advice about about buying something they could not help but referred me to someone else who could thanks so much as I could have driven around for ages but I went straight to their referral and went away happy Ken will definitely return when necessary for upgrading my kitchen cupboards etc

Friendly and helpfull staff. Builders Warehouse quote was a bit cheaper on the wood required but they could not even tell me when they would be able to get stock. Cape Boards got it sorted quickly for me hazzle free. I dont mind to pay a bit more for good service like this. And it was like less than a R100 more. Awesome!

They dont have your cuts ready by the time they promised it would be ready. Half the cuts were 1-2mm larger than they shouldve been, causing the pieces to not fit as planned and alterations were inevitable
