Visiting Beef Cakes (Cape Town) is always a phenomenal experience. You are greeted by a warm welcome before you’ve even stepped through the door. A strict Covid protocol is followed as you enter and from there onwards it’s all about leaving your worries at the door and all letting your hair down.A vivacious host will seat you and introduce you to your ‘beef cake’ (waiter) for the night. You can expect nothing but the friendliest and most attentive gentlemen serving you for the evening with a smile on their face. You won’t feel more taken care of anywhere else. The show is always professionally tailored to keep you laughing, singing along and having an absolute blast. Expect to see glitzy costume changes, impressive choreography and pure passion for Drag Queen artistry.Beef cakes Cape Town is truly run well by the team of staff and the manager who put their all into ensuring that you are having a good time. I also have to compliment these gentlemen on ensuring the safety of their guests when leaving. The city has unfortunately become a risky place to enjoy a night out which always makes leaving an establishment a little nerve wrecking but the staff will always ensure that you are safe whilst waiting for your uber/ride – which is really such an impressive and comforting attribute to have.I love Beef Cakes and would recommend it to absolutely everyone!

A group of us went to see Lilly Slaptsilly tonight, what an awesome experience. Lilly is so talented, you MUST go see her. On the Beefcakes front, everything was fantastic. The burgers were delicious and very substantial, as well as excellent service

Our waiter went out of his way to accommodate us, the stand up comedy drag queen was brilliant. Great food. Great music. Absolutely will be back and highly recommended. They really over delivered. Use to love Beefcakes Cape Town but Saturday waa my last not just because of Covid and no bussiness but because no one makes you feel welcome anymore. At least Grant and Dane made an effort to make you feel special and not to talk about the waitors tge have now. Shame guys. Cape Town favourate spot is dying slowly.

Its an experience like no other. I would think after so many years of doing pretty much the same thing it would get tired. The waiters would get bored, the burgers would be more mass produced and the shows would get less punchy. But this really isnt the case. They still put on a show like its was their first night and the food is bloody amazing.Its super cheesy, so go in with a bit of silliness. You cant take yourself too seriously.

Was a great Drag show tonight and saved the evening. The food was super mediocre and the cocktails was terrible. It almost feels like they water down the tequila had 2 shots and normally this will put me on a buzz but as I say I still felt pretty sober after both. Cool place for brides to be and hang out with friends before the real party starts. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. But like we say the show made the night. Great job on that girls. Keep it up.

The drag show is great but the drinks are sugary and weak. It has a limited menu but I enjoyed my burger. The crowd is mostly hen parties, so some of the jokes from the drag queen flew over people’s heads.

I and my friend came to beefcakes to meet our friends. We got to the bar and decided we would enjoy a drink by ourselves before we say hi. We ordered a drink and were told by a manager that we HAVE TO sit down cause other people can’t see the show. We sat at a table, had one drink and moved to another table to sit with our friends. A “manager” of beefcakes came up to us and told us we have to leave this place because we changed the table and disturb other people for which we replied well ... these are are friends, he then asked them if they knew us... just ridiculous.. we then decided to leave. We told the manager that his behavior was totally unacceptable and he should never treat customers this way for which he replied: “do you see this? It’s a door” ... so much attitude. Btw the show itself was terrible . Drag queen never heard of lip singing. Do not visit.

Nice bar, hot guys and funny show. The muscle burger was every good! Loved it!What bothered me personally was that our waiter was too pushy. We clearly had some drinks and were asked if we want to order something more. Asking for a tip even though the service charge was on the bill made me feel uncomfortable. Anyway we all have to learn. :-*

For dessert the chocolate cake is a MUST! Did I mention the yummy eye candy....

Our night here was above and beyond! On arrival we knew it would be a long shot on getting a table but we were politely shown an outside seating area and immediately assigned a waiter. Drinks were speedy and Andrew (our amazing waiter) went all out, from food and drink suggestions and up selling to eventually finding us an awesome table inside once things died down. The staff and hands on manager of the night were just too delightful and so sincere in their sevice. I cant wait for my next visit! Thank you

Oh WOW, I had my bachelorette surprise party at the Greenpoint branch on Saturday, It was so AMAZING, the service, the food, the drinks , the show EVERYTHING was just so great! Thank you TEAM BEEFCAKES.I cant think of anything else that i werent satisfied with, other than just the bathroom ligths, can you maybe replace the disco ligths in there so a person can see whats happening lol.Thank you again !

2015 winner of best burger in cape town. Feel it may have been dethroned by more worthy burger competitors of late. Still worth a visit on one of their crazy nights.

Ive been to Beefcakes a couple of times and must say the waiters have become much sexier since their earlier days. Nonetheless, the Bitchy Bingo nights feel much too short - two rounds is too short and they removed the props they usually gave diners. More drink specials and prizes could also be given. Not the best burgers in town, but still very tasty.

I would say it’s a Racist bar .It was a really bed experience having drink here. I pay for tips and left then the manager run out on the street shout to me did I pay for the drink . And the worst part is when I just told him that I already pay and give the tip . Then the manager just told me it doesn’t matter , it cost nothing . What !!??Is that what ppl do in Cape Town ? Cz im Asian then I might left without pay?So I ask my tips back and give to the homeless on the street .So please don’t come this racist bar only if u wanna have this kind of experience 👎👎👎

Food is marvellous, entertainment is spectacular, and setup is definitely decent/proper.I highly recommend everyone to go and check Beefcakes out.

We arrived at 8:45 to the lights off and doors closed... was looking forward to it and brought people from out of Cape Town to watch the show. Very disappointing.

Actually our visit started very nice. We were very nice seated and told that the upcoming show will cost 80 Rand per person. Ok we thought, if its good its ok to pay for it. Than it seemed that we were getting a very nice waiter. He was very kind and was doing everything to get us satisfied. Fire st I went sceptic when he very quickly tried to sell us another drink and additional also managed with his friendly way to sell us a shot because we feeled well and didnt even actually thought about getting ripped of. After the really boring single drag show ( we saw waaaaay better shows on Mykonos, Gran Canaria and Hamburg where they are even FREE) Tom came again and tried in this loud atmosphere to sell us another shot. I understood that he wanted to sell us a real nice African shot that I first found very nice and care taking of him. I agreed. But he didnt say a word about the really high price of R325 each!!! And he wanted to sell one to me and to my boyfriend!!When he returned he asked us if we are ready for the body shot. Than i start understanding that the shot will be taken from his body which was already topfree. But still I wasnt aware of the high price. I still thought that it was a nice thing of him because he enjoyed the time with us. Luckily my boyfriend refused because he didnt liked it and was actually upset i was doing this. But this was all happening when everything already was prepared and everybody was already looking and it would have been a absolute blame to me if i would refuse! So I did the body shot and was really shocked the first time by the high price of R325 on the bill for the body shot. My boyfriend even told him that it wasnt nice of him not telling us the high price. The only answer from him was: You can see it in the menu card. YES I NOW IT THAT I CAN FIND IT THERE! AT THAT TIME I UNFORTUNATELY TRUSTED HIM THAT HE REALLY SUGGESTS US SOMETHING NICE AND NOT THE HIGHEST PRICED THING IN THE MENU!!!! This is what I absolutely call dishonest and not transparent service! Letting the guest assume that he is really taken care of and than trying with really mean tricks to get the most money out of the customer is absolutely and totally Rip Off!!! Sorry I really have no other description for that! Also the service fee is Rip Off! I mean the waiters can be so nice so why are the customers not allowed to tip them if it is really deserved?? I guess they would get much more... we are not even a week in Cape Town and until now not had one problem with any other Bar/Café/Restaurant. Youre the first absolute Rip Of Bar! So please people absolute take care of them! The waiters are only beautiful on the outside to blind you! The Bill will come in the end!

Contrary to the website there are no shows during the week - only Thursday to Sunday. Did not tell us unfortunately - had reserved a table and were the only ones there. After the appetizer we left again (which unfortunately was not really good).Maybe next time 😐

The food was good and the service was friendly but there was no daily show as advertised on the internet. It was canceled due to a lack of visitors. It only takes place when there are 20 or more people. We were only told after we had ordered. The donated shot was later on the bill.A 10% tip will be added automatically.Conclusion: we will not go there again.

Very cosy. Food is slightly less, but its all about the atmosphere.
