Spar Cedar Resturant Breakfast is by far the best in Cape Town and well worth every penny. The excellent service from the waiters to the Chefs amazing presentation of the food with efficiency having your meals served to perfection 👌. Five Stars to you all.. Nicer than the Edgemead spar first off.The layout from when you walk in makes sense and flows as it should. They have a lovely bakery and butchery. Wood fire pizza for sale. Great deals and display of fresh fruit and veg.The store itself is very clean inside. Staff are friendly and very helpful.The only issue is the limited parking area outside. Other than that you cannot go wrong.

One of the most impressive Spars I have visited. The store is always clean, friendly staff, the produce is always fresh, the layout is clear, and the security is above standards. It becomes hectically crowded between 5-7 pm; its good to visit the store outside these hours.

I was told about the small restaurant inside Cedar Spar so today I tried the Cedar Breakfast (2x eggs, 2x bacon, 2x sausages, mushrooms, chips, tomato, toast) at R65. What a bargain! Struggled to finish it all. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast. *****

Wow!!! A Spar with its own wood fired pizza oven and coffee shop. The bakery makes AMAZING treats and the shelves are packed by a perfectionist. Friendly and helpful staff.

Edit: from favourite spar to one Im avoiding, seems like theres a new security guard at the entrance. Been shopping there for years, but on entry, he grabbed my bike from me. I asked him to let go, that he should jump people and explained that I wanted one item from the counter and I wasnt happy to leave my stuff with him. Seems the alternative was to put by bike in a trolley to bypass his rule, how dumb. So you can push a trolley, push your bike in a trolley, but you cant push you bike. He couldnt be reasoned with. Guess no trips to this spar when cycling home from work. What a shame.Past: Our families favorite Spar, somehow cheaper than other Spars, such friendly and welcoming staff, and always clean. Even during Covid-19, they were cleaning constantly, handing out wipes and spaying sanitizes, cleaning trolleys (can you believe it), etc. Worst parking in the world though, but the Spar itself makes up for that.

Their deli makes a mean 👌 rib and chips comb special, and at an affordable economic price. I call that a win.

Well priced fresh produce and meat, friendly staff in all departments. Despite limited floor space, the store sells a wide variety of products. The only issue that can be problematic is limited parking, so those who can shop during off-peak hours are sure to easily get parking.

Spar Cedar is a great place to shop I love it, also staff are very helpful and friendly! Parking area is a bit stressful for me thought, with cars coming and going constantly from all directions.

Best friendly SPAR even recognised behind mask and the fact I havent been there for four years. Paparego Fish Shop still the best of the fish and chip shops.

Really good and friendly service, take away food is also great. My favorite is their apple pie just melts in your mouth.

Cedar Spar is usually a great place to shop (although the parking is often scarce) but not for me today! Seemed so cluttered and crowded - cleaner standing idle chatting in the isle while people with trolleys tried to manoeuvre past. Security staff rounding corners as I was trying to as well. It was busy ( which is good for them and no fault of theirs) - but somehow the layout - especially at the magazine/ veg and fruit and the isle with mayonnaise, chutneys, spices - wine on the other side - doesnt make for easy access when there are many shoppers and trolleys. Their fruit and veg prices are outstanding though, so Ill endure the unpleasant experience again most likely - or try and go when less quiet.

I live in the city and when I visit family in the area going to this spar is always such a lovely experience particularly because the cashiers are always so friendly. Even during lockdown and wearing a mask you can tell that they’re smiling.

A big shout out 🎉 to Colleen at Bothasig Cedar Spar. Stopped off after work, did the shopping 🛒 , loaded the car 🚙 and returned the trolley 🛒. Just got home when I received a call from Colleen. A customer had found one of my parcels Id left in the trolley and handed it in to Colleen at the service counter. Thanks very much for that, kind stranger. But it didnt end there. Because Id used my loyalty card and the receipt was still in the bag, she took the time to trace me and give me a call. Above and beyond in my opinion! Colleen, thank you very much for your wonderful service. You are a real asset to your store. I will be collecting my parcel tomorrow... Silly me 😏🤪 #cedarspar.

Friendly staff, nice clean store. I am able to get most of the things I am looking for at this store. The parking is a bit of a problem though. It can get quite full and then you have to park around the corner in the side street.

I needed a toilet badly and was led to the staff toilet at the back of the store, because the center does not have a public toilet. It was SHOCKING. Filthy. No toilet paper. Floor dirty. I then mentioned it to the lady that accompanied me to the toilet and returned and continued with my shopping. When I was standing at the check out, a woman came to me and asked me what my complaint was. I said I have none, but that I was shocked at the condition of the toilet. I also mentioned that I would report it to Spar. She then attacked me and told me i wanted to make trouble and they have nothing to do with Spar. They are not a franchise. I did not know who she was as she was wearing regular clothes and no badge.Then a man, wearing a Harley Davidson shirt, came up to me and wanted to know what my problem was. I asked him who he was, as he too did not wear Spar clothing or a badge. He told me that he was the owner. When I asked him who the lady was, he said she is his wife. He then attacked me verbally in front of other customers. He told me that Spar has nothing to do with him. While he was talking, his wife passed and loudly repeated that i only wanted to make trouble.Although I am grateful that I was allowed to use their toilet, I think it is shocking. There are three toilets but only one is open for the staff. I wonder if these smart owners have one that they keep locked for themselves, because no person, other than a desperate one, will use a toilet in the condition theirs was.Management 101 surely teaches that a manager must try and resolve a complaint, and not escalate it with aggression. Good luck to their staff, because if this is how they speak to their customers, I can just imagine how they speak to their staff.
