Trying to get info from stores who then referred me to Head office, supplied me with wrong number, then after calling Cape Town, Sandra was clearly not in the mood to assist me , had no clue who to refer me to and also could not transfer the call back to switchboard. A simple basic inquiry has now cost them a big sales from a company. SHOCKING!!!!

May we request to have the bush at the back of the Shoprite Warehouse on Kruis Road Brackenfell cut down. This is a breeding spot for illegal activities.

I am very disappointed with the Manager of the Muizenberg checkers.i asked for wet yeast that the in-store bakery uses and understand that ibwas informed that they had no bar code for individual sales. I asked the Manager to phone the regional office and to ask and one as refused out right.I calming asked him to please try and said No.I thanked him and walked away. He did not even want to try and help me out.I now have phoned customer service and explained what happened and waiting for a response from them.Very disappointed with Muizenberg Checkers which we have supported since they opened.

On Wednesday 3 February at about 12h00, I completed some of my usual monthly grocery shopping at Strand Shoprite, as I have done on a regular basis for the past 5 years.While minding my own business and waiting at the checkout beyond the till for a trolley to take my groceries to my car, the female shopper behind me, spoke to me in a very rude and offensive manner, “ordering” me to remove my shopping bags from the checkout area, for no logical or valid reason at all.I understandably became very annoyed at this rude and disrespectful woman, and told her I will not tolerate her speaking to me in such a manner. This woman then started shouting at me in an almost uncontrollable manner, clearly having no manners and decorum at all.In the midst of this commouuution, the store manager (a coloured male called MORTIMER, according to his name plate) came out of his office, went directly to this coloured woman, and spoke to her in a very friendly and very respectful way, in spite of what had just taken place and this woman’s rude and unruly behaviour.Thereafter this same store manager came to me, spoke to me in a very rude, disrespectful, biased, and offensive manner, and threatened me with violence against myself, and that he would have me thrown out of the store.I then proceeded to clearly tell this store manager (Mortimer) that I find his conduct totally unacceptable and I insisted on an apology. He (Mortimer) bluntly refused to apologise to me, and also, again very rudely, told me that I can do whatever I want, and that he doesnt care what I do to see justice done in this situation.As a loyal and regular Shopriteclient, I am absolutely shocked, infuriated and indignated by this completely unacceptable, antisocial, and inappropriate behaviour of this store manager.

I rang a regional manager at their head office, she curtly listened to my concern and advised she would revert. I offered my contact details but she advised that she had it. Some 3 weeks later I heard nothing from her. And their Sea Point branch manager appears unable to handle or resolve this difficulty with any efficiency. IT IS A PROBLEM THAT EXISTS FOR + - 6 MONTHS.

The quality of Checkers bags are substandard in comparison with Spar and Pick n Pay, am sure they are not SABS approved. I will find out if this is true, as Checkers should not be charging us, as they cant be reused as the above mentioned shops

I would like to offer kudos to Checkers FX, White River, Mpumalanga for their extremely clean, well presented and organised store. Their store Manager, Willie Englebrecht has and is continuing to manage this store and its staff in a great and disciplined manner!Unlike so many other supermarkets and stores in the towns and cities I have been to, where staff are huddled in groups talking and laughing loudly, where many products have no prices indicated, where you find no one to help you.....this store ticks a positive in all the blocks. I am delighted to browse in this store, with good music and a calm vibe. The shelves are well stocked, despite the Covid slow deliveries, the tellers are pleasant and polite. Well done Mr. Englebrecht!
