I just did the 14-day Baz Bus tour from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, and it was EPIC! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for the most stress-free, reliable, safe way to travel the Garden Route, especially solo travellers. Theres no hassle with arranging transport, you get dropped off door-to-door, and its super easy to book your seat (just send a message to the friendly correspondent on Whatsapp). Amazing experience full of once-in-a-lifetime adventures!

I had an amazing Baz Bus trip from Durban to Cape Town. Baz Bus is the way of life you dont have to worry about the driving and getting lost. They pick up and drop you off in front of your accommodation on their list and the drivers are so helpful and friendly. Baz Bus route is so beautiful and you can just hop-on and hop-off anywhere along the route. I didnt wanted to drive but could still do my own itinerary! I also did Baz Bus cape peninsula tour and it was such an amazing tour! We visited so many beautiful places around Cape Town and the lunch was so good. driver Freddie is such amazing and friendly driver. The tour guide Mike was informative and knowledgeable. Thank you Baz Bus for a great experience, i will recommend your tour to my friends and family! big up!!!

Full-Day Cape Point & Cape Peninsula Sightseeing Tour from Cape Town with Baz Bus)The day started early with us walking to the Baz Bus Office for the start of the tour, just a 5 minute away from our Hotel (Holiday Inn Express, St. Georges Mall). There we met the effervescent Diane who we were fortunate to have as our guide and Mark, the safe and gentle driver. The trip was most enjoyable. We first picked up the other guests and then made our way to Mariner’s Wharf for the Seal Island boat trip. The weather was great although waters were a bit choppy but we did manage to get a good look at the seals. Then came Boulders Beach with the Penguin colony – a unique experience - and later Cape Point followed by the Cape of Good Hope. Both are at slightly different locations and we visited both. Be sure to take the Funicular at Cape Point that takes you up to the mountain as the sights – including those of Cape of Good Hope – are spectacular! But what made the trip thoroughly enjoyable was Diane’s commentary, full of wit and humour, all through the day. It kept us going and we (my wife and I) never felt tired throughout the trip. There were facts on facts intertwined with wit and humour. The route taken by Mark was extremely scenic as we drove along the side of the mountain along the Atlantic coastline. Simply breathtaking! On this tour there was a short stop for a some cookies and yoghurt, some apples and banana at a scenic spot along the way. Besides, there was also a lunch put together by both Diane and Mark at the Buffelsfontein Visitors Centre which is a stop enroute to Cape Point. All in all a super-enjoyable day with Diane & Mark!A special thank you to Diane for pointing us to Marcos Place - a restaurant that serves traditional South African Cuisine. We loved it!

Travelling with Baz Bus was the easiest, most convenient, comfortable and safe way to get around South Africa. I had the hop-on-hop-off ticket to go from Cape Town to Johannesburg, they picked me up in the hostel I was staying and dropped me off in the next hostel. The drivers were all kind and friendly, telling us about the country and its top spots. I met a lot of fellow travellers on Baz Bus and later we spend time together exploring Baz Bus’s stops. It was great experience travelling with Baz Bus, I loved it and I recommend it to everyone!I also did the Cape Peninsula Day Tour and the Kruger National Park Tour with Baz Bus. Both were more than fun, amazing adventures I will cherish forever.

If your expecting any sort of customer service, do not use Baz Bus.We traveled Baz Bus from Cape Town to Johannesburg over two months, so we had an intimate experience with them. One issue, we were dropped off at night and missed a bag in the back of a dark trailer. We realized our mistake shortly thereafter and immediately contacted Baz Bus within the hour. Long, run around story short, the bag was never located. It just completely disappeared and we were not offered any sort of compensation.Same thing happened with a hat that we left on the bus. We were told it would be dropped at a backpackers, no problem, but the driver forgot. And he forgot again after we contacted him the next day. After that, the hat magically disappeared as well and we were told to contact the Cape Town office even though we were in Joburg. The bus was late picking us up when we were the first stop. Conversely, it was also 45 minutes early once and the driver expressed annoyance that we werent ready to go, even though we still left ahead of his scheduled arrival time.If you are confident you will never forget anything on the bus, and have the patience to wait for a late bus or to pack up in advance for an early one, this service is for you. It did get us from point A to point B (though it WILL NOT drop/scoop you at anywhere remotely off the route- not even 800m away). If you see yourself in any of these situations, take another bus.

I had a great experience travelling by Baz Bus in South Africa. It was very organized, they were always on time, and it was super practical to be picked up at the hostel, and dropped off at my next destination, at the door of the hostel. I didn´t have to worry about how to get from the bus station on the hostel, which was very good. Also, I made many friends during the trips, with backpackers that were also travelling by Baz Bus. It was really cool, I wish I could travel like that in every country I go!

(Note): The Baz Bus is a great business. They are always super safe and the drivers are just great dudes who will help you out with whatever, they really love people.BUT: This spot is a little bit dingy. There are some poor beggar type dudes hanging around, and its like a dark alley. Avoid at night probably.4/5

AMAZING & AFFORDABLE! very round-about-trip as we had to pick up people from various backpackers along the way and had to stop over in P.E for the night. But it was an amazing chance to see something new as Ive travelled on long distance busses previously and was tired of being cramped!! :) We drove through the most beautiful places!I loved that it wasnt too cramped and I got to nap on the back seat for some of the way (what a relief for my long legs!!)Did i mention it arrives early in Cape Town :)

The worse experience in service. I payed $ 400 in a bus ticket to Johanesburg which they cant refund, even if you loose a flight. One of the Girls in the office was extremely rude and didnt know how to deal with the public. The manager kindly offered us a free atrraction and on the Day of the tour the guide left without us and 2 old ladies that payed for it. Unprepared and unmotivated team.

We used the BazBus for our two month long trip to South Africa from Cape Town to Kruger. I want to start by saying customer service is exceptional (especially Dalene who was a huge help to us, responsive and very professional). We had originally decided to book with bazbus in order to do Kruger, Chobe, and Victoria Falls as well as travel the coast in an affordable way. Unfortunately we were told a month before our arrival thstthat trip was no longer available. We were provided with alternatives (although all of them were much more expensive and really not good alternatives). They did give us a refund and worked with us, it was inconvenient as by that point we had already made plans (non-refundable flights, bookings, etc) however their willingness to work with us and sort the problem our made it considerably less inconvenient. The bus is very convenient for the garden route, it leaves daily and has a ton of accommodation options and stops. A note though, if you’re staying in some of the smaller towns it is very difficult to get around (no uber and things are far away). But if you’re just interested in doing the garden route I’d say it was great for that!I did not have the same feeling for the remainder of the trip (from PE to Johannesburg). I’d say if you’re wanting to check out the cities and towns Ana’s not wanting to deal with the hassle of driving it’s agood, convenient option. If you’re more interested in exploring the surrounding areas and more remote hikes and places- rent a car! It would have been much more convenient (especially on the stretch from Durban to drakensberg) to have our own car as stops are few and the accommodations on that last stretch were not as good and not as many.Overall it was a good experience, just might not be for everyone.

We recently did a 4 day kruger tour from Johannesburg with Bazbus/Selous Tours, and it was Fantastic! The transport, to and from the park was done in a very comfortable minivan.Reaching there, we got to spend a few hours at the moholoholo rehabilitation centre to get to learn more about the wildlife in the park and the different challenges in the kruger, before arriving in our campsite. The campsite is very comfortable, with nice beds, hot showers, really delicious food, and unlimited good wine (which easily satisfies a french man such as myself :) )The driver/guide was very proffessional and amazingly good at spoting animals. We got to see hyenas ( more than 20 in multiple sightings) lions, a leopard (from just a few meters), rhinos, elephants, buffalos, a lot of differents imapalas and my favorite, a group of around 40 wild dogs!the wildlife in kruger is amazing, the quality of the service provided by bazbus incomparable, and the experience was one of a lifetime!I would definitely recommend going with them on a 4day tour in the kruger!

Traveling with Baz Bus on the Garden Route in South Africa was an amazing experience! For those who are backpacking, this is definitely the best option, as they pick you up at your hostel door and drop you off at the next hostel door - no stress of renting a car and driving in the English hand or taking a bus and then taxi to find your hostel. In addition, you end up making a lot of friends along the way, because you always meet acquaintances, either in hostels, or in Baz Bus. Great for those traveling alone.I highly recommend this mode of transportation, as it is safe, punctual and fun!

With BazBus we explored South Africa from Johannesburg to Cape Town.It was a very comfortable and safe way to discover this great country. Also, the drivers were always in a great mood and we always felt safe and in good hands

I can only recommend Baz Bus to every backpacker. I drove from Nelspruit towards Durban with a 3-day stopover in Swaziland. Relatively cheap and very reliable, everything worked perfectly. Driver was friendly and competent. You also quickly get to know other backpackers. Baz buses are not super comfortable coaches, but mini buses. Baz Bus is a great institution to discover South Africa inexpensively and safely.

Excellent proposal to travel South Africa up and down wherever you want door to door in more than 140 hotels. We used it and it was fantastic and, beyond the good vibes of all the drivers, you gain a lot of time with the service since you do not have to be looking for or making transfers from the terminals to the hotel and vice versa

Well !! We had previously traveled with Intercape, a real coach with comfortable, adjustable seats and were then very disappointed with the BazBus, a simple, uncomfortable minibus with hard seats. The bus driver kept on the phone and took his buddies with him. Its easy to get from hostel to hostel, but thats about it. The price is absolutely too high! We will no longer travel with BAZ Bus.
