I went into Bride & Co with this whole idea of what I wanted my dress to look like and left with a completely different (but better) idea in mind. We were greeted at the door by a friendly lady who told us that we could browse while we waited. From start to end, the fitting was so enjoyable. The sales consultant, Nadine, was extremely helpful and so friendly! She let me try on a style of dress that I had no idea I would actually end up loving. While I didnt opt to buy the dress, I now have more of an idea of what I am actually looking for. Thank you Nadine, for your exceptional service!

My initial impression was that these guys were going to be difficult to communicate with (Im a Jeans and T-shirt type and I wear a golf shirt for smart...)My daughter insisted that I hire a suit for her wedding so I was in a jam.Reagan at Euro Suit Hire on the same premises made it very easy and almost a pleasure to go through the options and select something that we could all agree would be suitable..

I have no words to describe the level of unprofessional service at Bride & Co Canal Walk after spending thousands of rands at this store. Brides.. Stay far far away!!!!I got married in Feb, in a dress I paid over 7k for, that had holes in it noticed after I collected it, a day before my wedding (the lateness due to them messing up an alternation). The alteration was tacked on (no jokes!) like a child had sewed it on and it had diamante missing on the straps. It looked like a 2nd hand hand-me-down! I was promised feedback in Feb by Lameez and it is now June and no response despite messages to them! I would give them a HARD PASS. The pictures speak for themselves.

If youre booking an appointment i would suggest you call after and ask for Nikita. She helped myself and my cousin with dress options and has a lot of advice to give which is very helpful.I would suggest Bride&co change the old boring carpets for a fresh look for the store. I would also suggest that the staff wear uniforms because the casual clothes is not professional enough for a store like this.The vibe is basic and doesnt get you excited about your big day but the bride&co brand can make a few adjustments to the in store experience and you will get brides excited again.

I had a lovely experience at Bride & Co this morning. Another bride and myself had back to back appointments with the same consultant and she was wonderful - gave us each our time and was very helpful. I only wish there was a bit of a bigger range in the silhouette I was looking for

I give a 5 STAR to Camillah the seemstress! I wasnt very happy with how my previous two experiences were at Bride and Co Canal Walk but Camillah redeemed my joy and happiness when she helped me fix what I wasnt happy with and gave me full attention and guidance! She truly saved the day and without her I would have left bride and Co with a dress I didnt like or want.She deserves a employee of the month! The other staff seriously need to be trained better and realize they are dealing with brides who want to feel special and have what they want.5 Star for Camillah.... 2 star for the rest.Overall Im leaving very happy but only due to one passionate and loving seemstress!!

Sometimes you stand around and wait for assistance, but apart from that they have an amazing selection of dresses. They do alterations if you want to make changes to your dress. Overall happy with our experience so far

I had an appointment for a dress fitting. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and all the Covid-19 regulations were put into place. The lady who attended to me was thorough and very helpful. I was there needing an evening dress and the only little bit of disappointment I had was the limited amount of dresses they had to choose from but the store is beautiful and the atmosphere was very nice.

I was not happy at all. There is no denying that they have some of the cheapest options. However despite the sheer overwhelming number of options they still didn’t have different colours or sizes available. I had to make an appointment and tell them my sizes and the dresses I wanted to try on and they still didn’t have it available. All the dresses look similar. Most are modern. Most are ivory. They have a lot of dresses but not really any variety. The staff were also slightly disorganised, demanding an appointment be made and yet being unprepared for it. But they tried their best to be helpful. There were some nice bridesmaids dresses though. Between that, the attempts of the staff, and the prices those are the only positive things I have to say

I wish there is a zero star that I could give to the canal walk branch. They will promise you the world but as soon as they receive your money, they don’t even have the decently to call and inform you as the client about the alterations being made. That being said, once you receive the dress, the stitching is not even done properly. The cup of the dress just fell out once fitted and at the back of the dress the button that was missing during the fitting is still missing. My questions is how can you sell these expensive dresses to customers and think its ok? You really think nothing of us as clients having to drive up and down and then the job is not even done properly. Do you have qualified staff that does the alterations? Or do you just employ anybody as you please?

Disgusting experience at the Canal Walk branch. Im glad to see Im not the only one posting bad reviews about this place. I just wanted to browse for 10 minutes but i was told we cannot help you because we are closing at 2. Not even a hi. Dont get me get started on the older lady with the short hair. I greet her and she looks me dead in my face and doesnt greet back. This is bull. I work in retail and i understand the concept of quality customer service. I walked right out. I refuse to be treated in such a horrific manner. Future brides PLEASE stay away.

I originally tried on wedding dresses at the Bride and Co Canal Walk, a lovely experience but fell in love with a dress that was one size too small. I phoned through to the Durban branch to see if they had my size. Thankfully they did. Shaista Moodley assisted me and what a fantastic experience. Once I had made payment, they couried my dress up all the way to the Cape Town branch. I was first worried what the condition would be, as I brought a sale dress but when i picked up the dress from Canal Walk Bride and Co, It was crisp white and in mint condition.Thank you for the fantastic service! We are also grateful to the Canal Walk Team who made us feel so welcomed when trying on dresses and I enjoyed that the consultants were helpful but did not hover around too much.A tip for brides trying on dresses at Bride and Co. Take a good long look at the website before going, decide what styles you like and chose your top four/five picks that you want to try on when you go for your consultation. Also phone ahead to make sure that they have dresses available you would like to try on. If your branch does not have your size they may have at other branches.

There was no one to greet you at the door upon arrival. I just stood there not knowing which way to go. They werent very friendly and didnt seem to be very excited or happy to be at work. Definitely took away from my excitement

I had an appointment today at BRIDE&CO at 9AM , they tell you in the booking confirmation to be 15 minutes before your appointment. We got there on time , some of their staff were outside smoking , eventually they come in the store walked passed us didnt even bother to greet at all. One of the ladies at the front desk tell us to look around our lady will be with us shortly , its so overwhelming cause one doesnt know where to start. The sales lady gets there eventually shows us some dresses and takes me to the fitting rooms . OH WOW THE FITTING ROOMS WERE FILTHY!!!!!Looks like it hadnt been vacuumed in forever . Just because you guys are in Canal Walk doesnt mean you shouldnt bother keeping up your standards.-Yael

We had such a lovely experience at Bride & Co. As a bride thats not really into the whole wedding thing, I was made to feel very comfortable and beautiful by the Consultant Tammy. She was absolutely amazing and chose the best dresses that fit my body so well. She really listened to what I wanted and I got just that. Thank you Tammy for all your patience and expertise!

Worst experience ever. If I could give a 0 star rating thats what I would do.We made an appointment for 9am today. My dress was sent back for alterations and the other bridemaids dress was arriving from their other branch in Johannesburg. 08:57 our sales consultant Batiswa walks out of the store and we have an appointment at 9am. The lady at the front desk doesnt know whats going and tells us we can browse for a while or wait Batiswa will be back soon. Batiswa returns 09:25 saying she will be with us now. 09:35 she still hasnt return to us, we then call the manager Lamees who tells us Batiswa is quality checking the dresses and then she will steam it.1. How are you quality checking a dress when the client already arrived to collect it - was this not supposed to have been done already.2. Steaming the dresses while a customer is waiting since 9am.Eventually Batiswa brings the dress that came from the other branch and informs us that the other dresses is with the seamstresses shes fixing it(now only).My dress Eventually gets there as well.We get to the fitting room, which is filthy doesnt look like its been vacuumed. The dresses looks like its been worn, doesnt look new and the 2 bridesmaids dresses are completely different colors.Batiswa was so nonchalant when we asked for a refund. Poor quality, bad service the list goes on and on. Extremely disappointed.

What a terrible experience! Took my matric daughter to buy a farewell dress, with an appointment. The staff was rude and we were told that she is only allowed to fit 4 dresses. So needless to say we did not have any joy. Don’t even bother trying to go there.

The service was very good and the take time and advice you for the perfect clothes.

Went for a fitting and the consultant was really friendly. I didnt have to pay for the fitting the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because youre limited to 3-5 dresses. Finding a wedding dress isnt easy so I dont think 3-5 dress are enough especially if its your first time trying on wedding dresses.

Absolutely amazing appointments at Bride & Co and EuroSuit. We were assisted professionally, quickly and efficiently. Literally all our questions were answered. Amazing specials happening right now and there is something for everyone in terms of colour, style, size and accessories.

Embarrassing Service!!!! Booked an appointment, more than a week in advance for a fitting. Arrived and told my appointment was made for an alteration. Was then told to walk around and browse and a consultant would help us soon. 20 min later and no help. Stood waiting at reception only to be told that they booked the time wrong and incorrectly made my appointment an hour later than requested. The only solution was that my friends and I go to the mall for an hour. After leaving us for 20 minutes after knowing they made an issue with a booking. A wedding is meant to be a special event, would not support a franchise that does not value customers. Would NEVER recommend - clearly all the other poor reviews are clear evidence of how they treat their customers

This place was extremely disappointing. The staff was nonchalant, not caring to assist, noncommittal and did not help at all. The suits they have in stock for hire is of low quality with the sole intention to show-off their high quality suits that are only available for purchase. If you are looking for a good experience, go somewhere else.

I walked in and was astonished at the size of this place . it was a bit difficult to find because its not part of the main mall. you have to walk outside on the roof to find it .the entire bottom floor was bridal wear a d there are a huge variation of items with good prices all the way up to those for thousands of rands .they offer rental and buying options . service is great but make sure you book a consultation so that you have a person to make sure you get what you need as there is a lot in the store

I bought my dress here in January. The consultant Demi was lovely and so helpful. Went back in October for alterations and the next consultant was just as lovely and the seamstress was so attentive. I collected my dress after alterations for my final fitting and my dress was perfect and the final consultant was very friendly. Such a stunning experience.

Completely disinterested staff , showed them a picture of the dress I wanted , she started walking us somewhere then left and walked off . Left us to try dresses on our own without and help despite multiple staff just sitting around doing nothing . We walked around again , asked for shoes at the counter and were told the white ones are always out of stock . Showed no interest in us literally standing at the counter watching us walk out . Made me feel the most underwhelmed bride in the world and would never want to order my dress from a place like this . If that’s any indication of what happens when you order you dress - don’t actually go there . So do these people even want business? The store was empty , the dresses dirty and broken and the staff where useless , unhelpful and unfriendly . Not even worth 1 star

Had a lovely experience purchasing my dress last year.This year I took it in for alterations and was so disappointed. I wasnt ever made to feel special. I was always alone (without bridesmaids or mom present) and just never felt like the experience was super important to the ladies that worked there. Seamstress never listened to what I wanted and every appointment I was asked whether I planned on losing weight.After my first appointment I found that the Seamstress had somehow gotten a bright red lipstick stain on the strap and I was told that they would try get it out - no apology or anything. When I went to go and pick up the dress with my parents it wasnt ready. It was seemingly complete but done very rushed and untidy. I had to wait around until it was completed properly, but not before the Seamstress popped out for a smoke. No sense of urgency.A couple of comments were made about me carrying extra belly weight as well as me looking like another lesbian bride she helped not so long ago.Premises looks and feels dirty and not well looked after.Will definitely not be encouraging anybody I know to shop here.

The ladies here are so helpful and the selection of dresses are extensive. They have great discounts every now and then which helps a lot considering how expensive weddings are. I found my perfect dress here I have these wonderful ladies to thank for that.

Thank goodness these gowns are only worn once, because thats about all theyre good for. The bust wiring on my bridesmaids dress was poking out halfway through dinner, and by the end of the evening all of the seams on the bodice had strings of elastic thread breaking free. The netting layer on most gowns is also incredibly prone to catching/running - not ideal when wearing jewellery. Superbalist and Zando both offer more contemporary styles at way better prices.

Worst service ever. Rude employees. So so rude. Wanted to buy wedding shoes. 4 people behind counter. They told me they work on appointments only. I just wanted the shoes. And they were just sitting behind the counter not willing to help me. If this is how people get treated at this place i will never recommend it to anyone. Bad bad service. Dont even deserve 1 star.

Dont go here if you want to feel special in preparation for your wedding day. The service that my fiance got here was horrible. She was spoken to and treated in a way a customer should never get. Treated with no respect, and I wish I had enough time to tell them, I want my money back. This is the second best thing I can do is warn others of the experience.

The lady showing us the dresses was helpful but the renting dresses are in such bad condition. Id be embarrassed to rent there. Very overpriced for what you get here

Extremely good fitting session with Mishka. She went above the normal level of service and went witch hunting for the specific dress that I had saw on their website. Ended up buying my dream veil.

Had alterations done to make the dress fit better as it was slightly to big. It was a complete mess up, dress didnt fit on the day, couldnt even zip it up. Unacceptable.

Disappointing. Store closed (without notice on their website) due to stock intake. Next time, inform clients that youre closed!!! Dont waste peoples time, energy or petrol.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!TOOK MY DRESS FOR ALTERATIONS on 5th January 2020!!!Second fitting was 6 weeks later as they requested.So on Sunday, for the 2nd fitting the dress fitted well but i couldnt understand the custard yellow lined skirt. Hence, I wasnt asked about the colour i wanted, you would assume that the seamstress would know how to match the colour of your dress but NO.The lining on the 18000 rand Viola Chan dress was light yellow and it spoiled the whole look of it all. We waited over 30 minutes for the manager on duty to come talk to us; who said that her superior; Mr Sabbir wasnt in and we have to wait for him to decide whats next. She apologized insincerely with no understanding of our actual situation.3 days before the wedding.THINK AGAIN BEFORE YOU CHOOSE THEM TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!Thanks to the one gentlemen who went the extra mile to make time for us, i hope he can fix this mess.

This place is a joke. You can read all about the terrible service in the other reviews, which I experienced as well, but also the prices are ridiculously marked up, probably just because its a wedding shop. As an example the mens suits, an unknown brand thats itchy and ill-fitting, cost more than some of the suits from Hugo Boss.Unfortunately women dont have many alternatives, but if youre looking for something you can find somewhere else, definitely look somewhere else.

I went to no other bridal shops other then Bride and Co- Century City.Fittings went well - and i got my dressWhen i went for my alterations i was very nerves because of the bad reviews refering to alterations done.But , Terri was the lady that made sure that my dress was altered very nicely!She was very helpfull , friendly, proffesional and she knew what she was diong!Thank you Terri, i felt so beautifull in my dress and it was very comfortable.# Happy bride

Very POOR customer service and POOR choice of dresses, what a waste of space!We walked in-mind you we do look very young, so maybe it played a part. We walked around-not one worker attended to us. When we did eventually ask if we could try on dresses, the lady told us you have to make an appointment. We couldnt make an appointment as was leaving for Durban the next day, so she said she will be able to assist if she couldnt get a consultant, we should just pick three dresses.By the time we picked it, we hung around waiting for her. She eventually came to tell us she couldnt get a consultant for us as their shift ends at 5:30 and actually she cant help as she is just an admin staff. And the shop only closes at 7.She wasnt even busy, just sitting at the desk, even eavesdropping attentively to our conversations at one point!So disgusted and appalled.

I went for final fittings with my best friend. The dress had holes at the back where the buttons were stiched on. The dress also had a hole when she fitted the dress on. We arrived there at 2pm. They altered the dress so we collected it at closing time. The dress was still not 100%. Eventually we left, and returned the following morning and thank to a lovely lady, the dress is now perfect. Apart from the floors that was a bit dirty (looked like the staff didnt clean the store at closing time) I would rate Bride&co 4 out of 5. Atleast the staff were friendly. And the General manager too.

Extremely poor service with alterations. I had to come back 7 times and I am walking out with my dress 1 day before my wedding looking nothing like I wanted it. Purely because the seamstress had no idea what she was doing and ruined a R700 piece of lace trying to make sleeves. The work was shoddy and the sleeve was sewn on completely at the wrong part of the dress. They are offering to refund me only R300 for the making of the sleeves, after all the anguish of coming back 7 times in 10 days and having to change the look I wanted on the sleeves last minute because they could not do a proper job.Absolutely atrocious!!! You should be professionals.

Worst experience I have ever had. They completely destroyed the beauty of the dress for me. Making false promises of adjustments that can be done on a dress that was already over my budget after I destinctly stated my budget. When I fell in love with the dress I ended up buying it, then my first fitting they couldnt find it and the staff were extremely rude to me. Then I told the alterations lady to not do anything to the dress as it fit like a glove, she didnt listen and took it in anyway. It went from worse to worse and truly destroyed one of the most important moments of my day and experience as a bride!

Loved my fitting experience and really enjoyed every second. I decided on a dress that was too big so they had to order a smaller size, but after two weeks (duration of shipping - they said) the dress has not yet arrived and I am not able to get the dress for the sale price which is really disappointing since I already asked for the dress two weeks ago...

First of all, not the easiest to find if its a first time at Canal Walk. But if you manage to find it, you realize how friendly are the ladies or gentlemen working in there. However the quality of some of the suits is not worth the overpriced amount youll hear.

Went for two suite fittings. Went back 2 days before the wedding. Final adjustment and fitting perfect. They took the suite to the back to get steamed and bagged. The suite that came back was two sizes too small and the jacket was very tight. I was officiating the wedding in a matching suite, which was too small. Very embarrassing day. Service was shocking. I would stear clear of this company for your big day.

Could have been better but unfortunately the person helping us should get fired. He kept disappearing and the rest of the staff was getting anoid that the kept having g to look for him .. so the experience was poor
