Real gem. Great craft beer and coolers ( the Fynbos one is simply divine). All beverages are at a very affordable prices. Lovely decor and staff that is friendly, welcoming, professional and proactive. We will be back. Many times more. (Thanks Steve and Steve for welcoming us).

Honestly some of the best beers Ive ever had.The Kolsch is legendary for a reason.The red ale is a personal favourite but there isnt a bad one among them.

I have ordered 24 cans of Kölsch and received it within 2 days. From CT to Pretoria. I really love Kölsch, its such a light and refreshing beer. This is a famous brew from Cologne, Germany and that is where I first drank Kölsch. So glad to see it here. Drink it from a small glass (200ml) ice cold. Glass in picture is one I bought in Cologne)

The namesake sub-5% pale ale is quite enjoyable and pairs well with the cheeseburger and fries (a new food venture). There are currently three beers on tap (a malty red ale and kolsh in addition to the pale ale) and a tap vodka rooibos tea (tea brewed in house and blended).Downstairs is light and airy with tables pushed up against the front windows, while upstairs is a bit dark and brooding with a mix of bar-level seating and a couple couches.The neighborhood here is quickly up and coming.

The Zoom workshop hosted by Shackleton brewing company and Beer Guevara was enjoyable & enlightening. We got to see pretty much the entire process form mash to bottle. It improved my confidence while doing the same for my 1st brew. The Q&A sessions were great because we could ask anything. Thanks guys... and gal.

Havent been to the brewery or tried their beers, because of the Rona, but I joined Steve on a zoom home brew tutorial and been in contact with him for some advice and guidance and he is such an amazing and nice guy. I cant wait to go visit the brewery and try their beer as im sure it will be as amazing as its brewer

One of the best breweries in Cape Town! The recently opened brewery tap room is a hidden gem in the Salt River/Woodstock area. The whole place has been decorated to the Antarctic theme and gives off a very cozy and warm atmosphere. The beers are also extremely tasty and well priced! There are alternatives for those who dont enjoy beer.

Attended a home brew making workshop and it was FANTASTIC. Easy to follow and knowledgeable.

Really chill place, enjoyed the pale ale. The owner is very chilled and friendly. Enjoyed our time there.The bar is upstairs, warm and woody, and downstairs there is some tables where you can gather, though upstairs is much more cozy.

This is a must see. The origin of this brewery is one that captures the imagination. The beer is the best craft beer I have tasted in Cape Town. Steve and his team have really put together a gem here, you would be denying yourself a great pleasure not to pop in for a Kolsch, and listen to the tale of Sir Earnest Shackleton.Awesome vibe, fantastic memories and phenomenonal beer! Dont forget to try the reasonably priced vodka ice tea which may just get your night off to a hell of a start (and perhaps the end too).Cheers Steve!
