Great concept, variety and service. Honestly though (and the difference between a 5 rating) is that the clothing is not as modest as I would have thought and the prices are not competitive at all.

Having travelled with relatives from USA and coming all the way Durban I was told about this great store. with limited time We managed to get to workshop modesty by 16.50 which means that I could’ve atleast browsed aroundand bought some thing however the assistant refused to allow us in, she shut the door and gates closed and was told she was using public transport and to come the next day despite there being someone inside doing their buying as well. It was explained to her that we had a flight to catch and won’t make it, no attempt was made to ensure customer satisfaction.Haven Been a manager of a big commercial company doors are only allowed to be closed only as per closing times as money can be made even at the last minute and no excuses are to be made .

I have been supporting local designers of modest on trend fasion ever since they started selling at markets around Cape Town. I recently shopped at the opening of Workshop Modesty and bought a few items from different designers. Included in my purchases was a dress from infinity Collection. I requested a refund because I judged the collars to be irregular. I was given the store policy speech that I can return the garment and that I will only be refunded if they find the garment to be defective. Rightly so I stated that its also the shops responsibility to quality check the merchandise. I returned the dress via Postnet at my own cost. On receipt of the dress I was messaged to say that there is no defect and that the one collar was folded over more and looked shorter than the other. I was rudely accused of insulting and humiliating the designer instead of being honest and just say that I no longer want the dress. It was also suggested that I stop supporting small businesses. I believe in the vision of local designers and empowering women of my community. I was unfairly attacked for believing that the collars were irregular in size. Customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of any business and they way I was insulted on Instagram messaging is appalling! You just dont treat customers this way and let me reiterate I was not insulting or humiliating any designer.
