Love a bookshop. But your people skills tell me you dont actually want to sell any books. Thats fine. Ill take my money to someone who does.
The owner is a surly person who has no business acumen or people skills. I’ve tried to come into the store twice now to sell books and been met with pathetic excuses as to why they won’t even take a look at the books I have.
Unfriendly and abrupt staff. Very unwelcoming. Please save yourself the pain of ever going into the store.
The experience was disappointing. On Tuesday I was told to come back today or Friday as the store had reached the quota for the day as far as purchasing my 2nd hand books.Went back there today and was greeted with the response reached the quota for the day, but was assisted and then told that my books for sale was not in demand ...
Lovely well-curated second-hand book shop.
Small but amazing, tucked away jewel stocked with pre-loved books. A must visit venue ..staff always helpful.
A handy second hand book in a busy centre. They have a good turnover of books. The staff are not always knowledgeable.
A good selection of second hand books, well.otedered and curated. Great to still have this resource.
Although tiny, the shelves are packed, and they had works by some fiction authors I like. Pretty chilled vibe, cool assistant :D
Though full of beautiful books, I will never step into the book shop again. The shop assistant pretended a book was not for sale, which very clearly was, as she did not want me to purchase it (for personal reasons I presume). She imposed her unasked for opinions onto me and was unfriendly from the start. A very unenjoyable experience not because of the products but purely because of the service (or lack thereof) that I recieved. I would not recommend this book shop.
What a horrible experience I had in this bookstore! For a moment I thought I was back in the old SA where dom passes were still required! Based on the shop assistant’s behavior towards me, I will no longer be spending money at this store or any other establishment that this individual is employed at or involved with. I can only describe his behaviour as misogynistic and racist. Perhaps white-owned business should start realizing that there are other option at which to spend money. To the shop assistant, your atrocious behavior, obviously fueled by your feelings of superiority is so backward, but like with many like you, your white privilege and entitlement seem coded on a genetic level. I remain disgusted.
