I am always skeptical of ordering things online. (Call me old school ;)). I however read some of the reviews, most of which were positive. I decided to do it, I measured, remeasured and ordered. Within a few hours, I received my first email, updating me and letting me know they have received everything and everything is in progress.A few days later, I got another email, estimating shipping date. And on estimated shipping date, I got my waybill number and was told i can track my parcel. A day later my blinds have been delivered. First thing I did was take them out of the box to see how they fit in the window. Its like a professional had taken the measurement themselves.The only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars, is because I have not fitted them yet, so cant see the whole look. I am however super impressed with the service and quality of the product! :)

I ordered online from Blinds Direct for our bathroom which we were having completely made over. The chat advice I received was useful and we decided to go for venetian plaswood blinds in Black Birch - Old Mill colour (dark woody finish and plaswood to be able to withstand moisture). The cost of 50% cheaper than a local supplier Ive used in the past and the blinds were perfect. They were straightforward to install, fitted snugly into the recess and look beautiful, complementing the other dark wood items in the bathroom. We are very happy and can recommend Blinds Direct!

I was a bit hesitant to order blinds online instead of getting someone to come out and install. I was amazed at the workmanship as well as the exact measurements for the blinds. I have used Blinds Direct several times in homes in the Southern Cape and Eastern Cape. All times I have received my blinds within the times stipulated and the measurement as given have been spot on. You are kept up to date on the progress of delivery via mail and can plan around it. My only suggestion would be advise and information on the orders that are made if it is thought the might be too heavy (the material) for blinds. I order a blind that I cannot lift as it is too heavy.

Good evening! We looked forward to add the finishing touch - the blind - to our recently renovated bathroom only to find that the support fittings were not what we wanted, despite the correspondence in that regard.We were wanting 50x35 mm fittings to secure to the vertical, inside section of the window opening, with at least one intermediate fitting to secure to the middle, top, horizontal section of the window opening. The top framework is then clipped into these supports, as per another blind we had fitted previously in our lounge.The three swivel type clips that were provided came with one screw and plug each - is this the norm? Also, the burglar bars fitted inside on the wooden window frame preclude the use of the vertical sections of the clips provided, so only the top section of the swivel clip would be able to be used!.Please supply the requested fittings so we can complete the renovation.

I think this is such a great idea - I have put off getting new blinds for a couple of years, because either I must wait around for somebody to come and measure, or I must go into the shop myself (and then they arent even open on weekends), so when I found Blinds Direct I was delighted and decided to give it a go. I just want to say thank you again to Blinds Direct and everyone we’ve been dealing with throughout this whole process. I never thought buying something like blinds online, having to take measurements (okay, that I left to my husband to do!), placing the order, receiving the blinds and then installing it (again done by my handy husband) was going to be such a relatively pain-free and seamless process! All 5 rooms’ blinds were hung within a matter of 2 hours and the blinds fitted according to the measurements we provided. The material used is of good quality, you can see and feel it (I went for plaswood) and except for the cherry colour (which I expected to be a bit richer), I am overall happy with the outcome. If I had known that it was going to be this economical and easy to transform my whole house in a matter of hours, I would’ve made this decision a long time ago! Great product, good price. Easy. But not so easy drilling into a cement lintel. Had to hire a big drill for this which added to the cost. Although the blinds took about a week to arrive (I think) I had no idea when to expect them. These are minor issues just given for feedback. I would not hesitate to use Blinds Direct again or recommend them to a friend. But not to an enemy. There are other companies for that.

Excellent service and quick shipping. My only suggestion is that it would be helpful to have maybe a rating system for the blinds based on how much light they keep out. I ordered some lovely bamboo blinds that fit perfectly, but they dont do much of anything about my neighbors outside light. Of course not Blinds Directs fault!

So almost a 5 star rating if not for one CRUCIAL fault. The blinds are beautiful, good quality, super price and quick service. But when you enter dimensions it specifically states that for a recess blind they will make deductions and for a facefix blind you must measure AS IS. So we measured as is and they still made deductions. We now have a beautiful blind that covers almost all of our window. What a let down. So we sent it back and got told its not their fault, they then sent the too small blind back to us without the fittings.

Great price, and good quality blinds :) Took a while to get the blinds. Width was not a snug fit (~ 2 cm gap both sides), but I assume that is how they cut it. Maybe they could tell the actual dimensions at checkout.

Great service and all fitted perfectly.I purchased a large quantity for a house in Dullstroom.I have a suggestion, not a complaint.It will be a good idea to label the package that includes the fitting instructions as I did not open all 11 packages initially and only found the instructions when I was halfway through fitting.
