Probably the most fun Ive had on two wheels! Their Klein Constantia e-Bike Tour is an absolutely wonderful experience for anyone looking to explore the Cape Winelands immersed in the stunning natural surroundings. The views were spectacular and the tour guide was so friendly and helpful. Also, using an e-Bike makes the journey so much easier for those of us that arent exactly at our optimal fitness level :). This tour is a MUST for both tourists and locals. You wont regret it. I highly recommend it.

We had a great tour with Innocent and Linda. The guys are super friendly and welcoming. The bikes are good maintained. So I asume that they have changed them if I read older reviews.I would recommend you to do this trip if you know how to bike! It is a little challenging for those who have never ride a bike before. The boys gave a food explanation about making wine. However it would be nice to have heard about the process of making wine from a winemaker.

This may be a great tour except for the fact that we had payed 3 months in advance for it and because of covid we had to cancel the trip to South Africa. About 2 months before the trip we contacted them asking for a refund and it was agreed on a 90% refund since we were cancelling with over 72 hours of the tour, so we waited and nothing was done about it, we contacted them again and they said they were sorry but that was it. We are not asking for anything but our right based on their policy, but it seems like they are not too worried about keeping up with their side of the deal. In case they decide to do what is right we would update this post, but as of now nothing has been done.

October 2 2017: Very nice biking tour with our competent guide Adi. But why the name Adventure tour? It was all a very pleasant biking in spendid surroundings - not much of an adventure.Perarne Petersson, Växjö, Sweden

Awesome! The complimentary transfer was great, and the guide knows how to make your day! The biking through the vineyards gives you such a different perspective because you are able to go where cars do not go! Biking downhill gives you such a satisfying feeling and combined with the excellent wine tastings en-route and all explanations from the guide, I had an amazing day! 10/10 would recommend!

Bike was old - Tiara 9 speed - range of gears too narrow and gears badly worn. Disappointing

It was a great tour which was definitely worth it! In the & bikes cafe in Cape Town I was very kindly received by one of the tour guides. From here we went by bus to Stellenbosch. During the ride, the tour guide told us some interesting information about the area. Arriving in Stellenbosch, the guide took time for everyone to adjust the bike well. During the ride the guide was very alert and the wines were excellent.

We did two separate outings with Bikes n Wines. The first was through Cape Peninsula park to the Cape of Good Hope. The second was a luxury tour through the Stellenbosch wine country. We loved both. Our guide, Abi, was with us for both trips. He was great! Told us a lot about the different areas and interesting facts about culture. We are amateur bikers so some of the hills in the wine country were a little challenging, but Abi helped us up those too. He was amazing. The views on both bike trips were great. We had so much fun and would definitely recommend them as a great way to see the Western Cape. Ask for Abi!

We were looking forward to the adventure tour in the wine lands, but were a bit disappointed.First of, the quality of the bikes was terrible. In a group of 6, three bikes had issues. On my bike I was unable to shift down into the lowest cog on the front derailleur. More serious was, that the front break did not work. The guide simply said oh the back one is the important one Hmm, ok...Other bikes had break problems as well. The guide kept on saying that the guys in cape town must have taken all the good bikes yesterday. Well, dindt help us. I expect that for a guided tour the guides get there early and at least make a basic bike check on all the bikes.Just after we left, something on the guides rear derailleur broke, making it unable for him to shift. He ran back to the shed where we started, but there was no other bike available. He had to pedal like a sewing machine for the rest of the trip. The trip itself was cut short because one person in the group felt dizzy. Surly not a fault of the guide, but in the end we cycled may be 5-7km, not 20km.The vineyards and the views were nice, but overall we felt that we overpaid.

When we arrived at 10am after a 5 hour drive from Oudsthoorn we were told that they had overbooked and refused us. Not helpful when we rang the office and we were left to find another tour at very short notice. Seriously unprofessional.

We opted for the adventure tour. But we were disappointed, we certainly did not do the 20km as mentioned and we went through a lot of road and not dirt roads. On the other hand, I found that for an agency specializing in wine tours, we had no explanation on the wines, their grape varieties, etc.

Highly recommended for a guided wine tour of a different kind. Great routes and attentive guides. Only a little more background in the very nice guides would be desirable
