Super nice and individual hotel. I have been in CPT for business a couple of times. And usually my company booked me into to corporate hotels. Because of corona the bigger once were closed hence I was looking for something smaller. The best decision ever, the hotel owner was soooo nice and accommodating. Super friendly and helpful. Looking after all my need. Super fast internet. He informed me about the latest covid rules and also organized save restaurant outings. Felt save and looked after.Rooms are spacious and decorated individually.Rocky the night receptionist made me feel safe and at home.Breakfast was big and healthy. Will definitely come back.

Thank you for an awesome stay. It was like coming home.To think 13 months ago we had our first taste of Cape Town and inner city living at your hotel. This time a completely different vibe due to the past lockdown and not that many tourists. Thankfully we could pop into all the restaurants a block away with no bookings.See you and your kind staff next year.

My wife and I had another fantastic stay at Rogue on Rose. A unique boutique hotel hidden at the top of town (Bo Kaap) with a focus on making you feel comfortable without intruding. Clean and ideally located for exploring what Cape Town has to offer either of foot or with a short cab ride.

I am thoroughly impressed with this boutique hotel-- if you are thinking about making a reservation, just do it! You will not regret it! This is truly a gem in downtown Cape Town. The rooms are very spacious and look very nice. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the wifi is excellent. And this is all at a great price. But the best thing about this place is the staff. I came while South Africa was still dealing with corona issues-- Ursula and Michel (the owners) went ABOVE and BEYOND by making sure I had everything I needed to have a good experience in Cape Town. They organized tours for me and gave me their personal opinions and recommendations for things to do in the area, and I really appreciated their honest insights. They also clearly love what they do and take joy in helping guests have a great experience in their hotel and in their city. There are some places where the staff makes you feel like family, and this is that kind of place. Ursula and Michel just did so much for me with personal touches and an abundance of hospitality and generosity-- I am truly touched and impressed by all they did for me. I was extremely happy staying here and extended my stay again and again!

I stayed at The Rouge on Rose with a friend for four nights in July 2018. It is a true gem in Cape Town. The hotel is situated between the lively Bree Street and the posh area Waterfront. The owner goes out of her way to provide the best service and ensure that you are having a great stay. Great spacey and clean rooms and a great breakfast. My highest recommendations!

We spent 3 nights in Rouge On Rose, as part of a longer visit to South Africa. We were very impressed with this boutique hotel. In terms of location, its right in the middle of the city in the interesting Bo Kaap district with its colourful houses. Its a 5 minute walk from Long Street, where there are a whole host of bars, restaurants and shops. Also on Long Street is the tourist information office, along with the main departure stop for the city tour buses. Although were not really into bus tours, we took Ursulas advice and purchased a ticket. In fact, we found it such a helpful way to see the city, we upgraded to a 2 day ticket, using all three routes. Our room was spotless and very spacious with 2 balcony windows with a fantastic view. The whole place was tastefully decorated. The shower was wonderful - the perfect antidote to the long flight over. All of the staff were really friendly, and went far beyond what we expected to make us feel welcomed and at home. The breakfasts were fantastic too - really interesting choices, and freshly cooked to order. All in all, an excellent base for visiting Cape Town. Highly recommended.

The rooms are super spacious, in a lovely neighborhood with incredible views! Staff is insanely friendly and full of suggestions to round out a really nice trip! I’m not usually one to eat the hotel provided breakfast, but their chef does an insanely amazing job! Seriously don’t skip it. The hotel rate is also very very good. Do not hesitate on booking this charming boutique hotel!Note - they don’t have an elevator but it never proved a problem for us. We were on the top floor, and when we checked in and out, someone helped with our luggage.

We spent a few nights on our honeymoon here and cant recommend it enough.Hotel is very well located and the hospitality, decoris, and ambiance is fantastic.Ursula has a vibrant personality and the hotel offers so much more than just a place to sleep. There was security on the front gate 24/7 and we felt very secure. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Until next time.

This place was amazing. The service and help recieve from both Michel and his mother was outstanding. The rooms were perfect and spacious and the city life is meer seconds away with a huge choice of fantastic restaurants. All the sights of Cape town are a short journey from here so we felt like we had made the best possible choice of accommodation for our stay. 10 out of 10

Absolutley amazing staff, interesting architecture. Had a wonderful stay there with nice breakfast. Only thing is: Why build the toilet near to the shower, so it gets wet all the time when showering?

Fantastic placeThe room: Gigantic well design rooms and the whole place are filled with charm. The shower is big and very nice and the beds are comfy. And the Breakfast, WOW.. Everything from the menu is magnificent! The healthy option was my own favourite, but you can order anything! Definitely the nicest and most service-minded staff on our long journey through Africa! They helped us a lot :) The place is very nice in itself located in the middle of the city center. The internet is not especially good, but come on YOU`RE in CAPE TOWN and you shouldnt sit on yourcomputer.

To be preferred, both in terms of location and room quality, to any other 4 star big chain (i.e. Westin). Of course, being a boutique hotel, you cannot compare facilities. (there is no gym and there is no pool). The breakfast is a la carte only. I think they should add some basic in a buffet. Was a good experience. I would go back

Super nice hotel, best host Eber and then very central!Super nice and sympathetic host!He immediately informed us about all the local rules about Corona and gave us great tips for delicious restaurants and bars! Local stop .. he knows what hes talking about and the tips were really great and not far from the hotel ..The rooms are super nice and individually furnished, the service incredibly good and individual .. we arrived late and were delayed due to immigration and still we were waited for and we were welcomed with snacks. And then there was a bottle of champagne in the room .. perfect to arrive ..During the rest of the holiday, Michel also gave lots of tips on excursions and organized a rental car for us .. the tour of the winelands was unbelievable!I can only recommend this hotel, super central, super nice hosts, great tips, great city! I will definitely be back next year!

The owner is super nice and helpful. The shower is in the middle of the room - without a partition. Very cool and something different.Breakfast is prepared with a lot of love and tastes very delicious. We ordered a second portion almost every day.Its not that inviting out on the street. You shouldnt stay there that long. The rubbish is blown through the streets by the wind. Dark figures meet not far.
