The staff and service is amazing. We enjoyed their calmness while providing support. Attention to detail us impeccable. Thanks Wayne and teamππ₯°πCertainly coming back there for our next CT visit
Stunning setting once youre inside the yard walls.Room 10 is worth waiting for. Take your loved one here, you wont regret it. Good breakfast and friendly service completes the perfect day or two out.
This establishment has the potential to be something great. The basis is there, it just misses the little touches. It unfortunately looks a little forgotten about and needs some guidance to bring it back to its glory. Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. We had a little deck outside with a tiny splash pool, which Im sure will be great on those hot summer evenings. It is in a lovely little area of Cape Town, within walking distance of so many lovely things. Just note: there is no on-site parking, but it is Cape Town city which very rarely has parking at the establishments. There is a little area at the end of the road with a few parking bays. Dont be daft and leave valuables in the vehicle outside, you are only asking for your car to be broken into, it is a South Africa after all.
Dreadful. Dirty frayed carpet. Smelly bathroom. No hot water at 10 in evening. Could hear neighbours drain flushing. Only one tea cup in room, no teaspoons, no decent coffee. Back yard, outside dining room a mess. This is max 2 star.
After 7500 nautical miles after the Cape to Rio 2029 and Rio to Cape my husband joined me at Dunkley guesthouse...we were warmly welcome and he was pleasantly surprised at our room nr 10 friendly and helpful staff thank you keep up the great work
A very nice boutique guest house. The rooms are all a bit different and mine didnt have the best bathroom, but it was perfectly adequate. The breakfast is very nice with a range to suit all. The patio/pool area is quite relaxing. Staff were accommodating in helping me get a shower on early arrival before I went to work, and doing some ironing for me.
It was our first time visiting the mother city , and we didnβt go wrong by choosing #Dunkley guest house, our stay was perfect ππ½.KC and Makhazi ( friendly staff ) you are the best β€οΈβ€οΈand the rest off the staffππ, we really enjoyed our 6 days stay ( you made us feel @ home , we felt welcome π) , we ate really coming back ππ€ͺ.Wow there is a lot to tell about this place, location was top top ( fantastic ) we walk to Bo-kaal and long street, and for some place we used βUberβBreakfast was nice ππ½ππ½( please add more meat when we come for the 2nd Time )Excellent service and a great ππ½ stayWe would definitely recommend this guest house π‘ to anyone
Very good value for money. Good airconditioned bedrooms, modern bathroom, small private terrace, small swimming pool, 30 minutes walk from harbour area.
The place is very beautiful and neat. Quiet place to relax at and table mountain just around the corner
It was nice to be at dunkley, I enjoyed the breakfast. Dunkley House also have good staff they are friendly.
This is a real friendly guest house which has great service and a good atmosphere.
Beautiful place. Friendly stuff. Not the best location
I had a amazing time at D&H lovely staff and the food was delicious..My wish was stay for more days , definitely Im coming back..Thank you Team Dunkley
This 5star establishment needs proper management to get back on track again. All the basics and luxuries are there but neglected. Not worth going back to unless they do something drastically. What a shame
What an amazing place for stay. Ive really enjoyed those days there!!!. Bedrooms are pretty beautiful. The service and food are awesome!!
Nice place
Great guest house and safe place very quite, clean
Great place for business, super fast WiFi connection, good location near the City, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
Good place to stay in the center of capetown. 10min by car from the table mountain cable car. You have to park in the street but we always found a free spot. Our room was very spatious and clean. Only negative point there is that it was just next to the breakfastroom. So as from the moment other guest were starting to take breakfast it was noisy. Breakfast itself was ok. Very small buffet but a possibility to eat eggs of panecakes a la carte. service was ok.
Big rooms, friendly staff, nice swimming pool, good location.
The place felt authentic and charming. None of the new shiny feels of hotels weve grown accustomed to, everything about the place is well thought out
Nice cozy place to be, good location, breakfast and great staff
Spacious rooms. The service wasnt the best
Beautiful decor, extremely cozy. Feels like home.
Great location and wonderful service full of smiles. Thank you.
Safe and friendly
Very disappointed in this place. No secured parking. Pictures not as on website.
Rooms smelt of paint. No hot water in the morning
This BnB was very disappointing. We stayed in Room 5 which is close to reception. The doorbell rings throughout the night, and in the early morning kitchen staff start setting up for a breakfast, both of these make for a disturbed sleep. The room itself looks very old and outdated. The bed linen is old and thin, but good quality nonetheless. The towels are old and frayed. The TV is flat as advertised, but terribly small. Most channels dont work either. The bathroom had a terrible shower head that was in desperate need of descaling. On the upside, the bathroom had Charlotte Rhys toiletries, although I did wonder if it was refilled with a generic brand...Breakfast was a small but decent selection and staff are friendly and efficient. The location is great, very central. Be warned, theres no secure parking. During our stay, two cars were broken into. We were told cars are safe from theft, but not break-ins.All in all, Id give this place a miss.
