I got my first haircut in almost 2 years here yesterday. the staff were very friendly and professional and made you feel calm and welcomed. I was able to be seen to immediately without making an appointment (walk-in). I got a lot more than I expected for the price I paid. the style of haircut I was going for was not exactly what I got, but I am still content with the outcome. would definitely recommend. good value for money, especially if youre still a student.

The staff is friendly and very talented. You can get any hairstyle that you can imagine done here. Book in advance to ensure that your spot is reserved. You can be lucky and walk in, but be warned, the place is often busy.

After a thrilling head massage and wash I got exactly the cut I was looking for. Quick and easy, no fuss. They even notified me that there was a student special that day, so I got it all for just R190! Would go again.

I asked for a particular haircut and showed a picture but got a completely wrong haircut.Not happy. Will not come back again. Quite expensive as well as each hair stylist charges differently.One charged R190 and another charged R250.

First time there and a very good experience - from the wash and head massage, to cut and beard shape and shave, very professional service, very relaxed environment and easy going but professional staff who listen to what you want and make it happen.

I always take my boys here for their haircuts, note they are kids, aged 2 and 4, their staff are always helpful and are very good at handling younger kids as well for their haircuts and still manage to give them top notch haircuts even through all of the shouting and moving. 5 Stars.

I only frequent the Cavendish branch and will only ever frequent that branch as I got a terrible 4 week long lasting infection in my neck from the branch in waterfront...As for the website.. quick and easy to use... If you have forgotten your stylists name, dont worry, they have their pics up as well

One of the best salons for men with knowledgeable staff and they also offer student discounts. Complimentary drinks are offered which includes beer and whiskey. Would recommend!

A Good Haircut Takes Time:I had a problem at the Canal Walk branch. I was immediately contacted, offered a refund and a haircut on the house. No lip just ownership +++++I was referred to the Cavendish branch and booked with Jarryd.Vibe is great - music is funky but atmospheric.I was offered a drink which is not expected ++++Jarryd gives one hell of a fade! So clean and intricate. You can tell he is very passionate about his work. Plus he had to fix the mess my hair was already in and he did a bloody good job of it.A haircut here costs R250 - it should be a real treat for the guys. Fresh fades and good service are a must and time must be taken to get your monies worth.This branch represents Edge For Men in what they stand for.I will be back.

I am a regular at Dean Street Edge for Men, having my hair cut every one to two months. My Stylist of two years had terminated employment and I was offered a haircut at the Claremont branch.Claremont is bit more business like in their interactions with customers, with small lacking in their offering. I seek a holistic experience when going to a hairdresser allowing the stylist to make their recommendations and have more leeway in how they style my beard and hair.This element was lacking from my experience and this branch, with a more nervous approach applied by their senior stylist with no suggestion for waxing of the ears, middle brow or nose.No styling input on the beard, no after treatment oils applied to my face or full trimming of my face with the clipper before the cut throat shave.

Make sure you double check with the secretary whether she knows what she is booking. Not sure how she says one thing and then books another. You can repeat yourself 3 times and she will probably get it wrong. Very annoying coming twice in one day only to be told they made a mistake after washing my hair. But if you need a sharp barber Jared is your man!! Dope cuts every time!!!

They just ignore what you say and give you a generic schoolboy cut. I just had a haircut there and asked her to keep it long because Im trying to grow it out, but keep it professional. She said she wanted to cut it off the ears and leave it long on top. But then she just kept cutting, kept cutting, kept cutting until it was short.

Expect an amazing experience, you will surely get one.

A great hair salon for a reasonable price. You get a full barbershop experience at this establishment and the staff are very well trained and extremely professional.

Terrible at cutting long hair, and doesnt understand the concept of layering at all. Didnt follow request from picture at all. Do not go if you are a guy with medium-long hair.

This was the 2nd time I had come to Edge for men. The first time was very good, but the 2nd was not good. The stylist did not really listen to me and when I had asked her to cut my sides shorter, she made an excuse of how she would have to redo my hair again. I walked out feeling like I did not really get a haircut.

Poor haircut. I had to get it redone a week later elsewhere.The recent renovations are nice.

Stylist was late by more than 10 minutes. Desk staff was lethargic and not friendly. Was offered a beverage, but very unenthusiasticly. Reading material while waiting is outdated and crumpled. Cut itself was so-so, very overpriced. Scalp massage was brilliant though

Horrific shave. Terrible head massage that I had to complain more than once over the sheer force the stylist was placing on soft areas of my head. Ive had many stylists work on my hair but this one didnt know what she was doing. Zero attempts to even socialize with me as a customer. This deserves nothing less than a zero star. First time getting a shave at this place and Im left with a face full of cuts and potentially scars now for life. I am never coming back to this place again. Im going to seek legal action if Im left with scars.

Highly dissapointed - going back to Edge for Men Cavendish for the 2nd time seeing the 1st time was brilliant.Good services overall, however overpriced.Paid for a Edge Cut and Clean Shave, however, the clean shave was rushed and shoddy, leaving me with numerous nicks and cuts all along my neck area and below my ears, as well as a clear amount of stubble which I noticed the minute I got home. For the price I paid, I expected so much more.Good service overall, however too overpriced for what youre getting.

Burnt my scalp. Head massage seems to be more nb than the cut. The wash took longer than the cut. Stylist seemed like he was jaded and thus did a style on me probably out of boredom but not what I wanted. Lasted a week then it was unmanageable again.
