First of all the BEST roasted veggies I have ever had!! And then the steak🧐 medium rare of course, yet it was very tough... asked to change and they happily did so and then said it’s due to me not cutting with the grain ??? Have you ever heard of that, well I said ok you cut it for me as I can certainly not establish where this illusive grain is. They did so and guess what....still the same and maybe one of the most expensive steaks in town mind you. I believe their burgers are far better and yes it is Kosher which is a plus for many. This grain that grain, your grain .... never any grain for me again, thank you very much - I am now against the grain.

Decent decor. Friendly staff. Good cocktails. The food is okay. Tapas a bit overpriced - not happy about paying R 140 for 4 skinny lamb giblets; fortunately I was only snacking. I did mention my concern to the waitron who from what I could see didnt mention it to the manager/owner who was present.

This hidden gem is a must visit when traveling to Sea Point. Hidden amongst a variety of small shops and restaurants, The Press offers an escape from the busy Cape Town streets with their courtyard situated at the back surrounded with the concrete jungle called Cape Town city.Dont let the lactose free menu fool you, what they lack in cheese the more than make up for with an amazing variety of tapas and mains that are to die for.I highly recommend paying a visit to this hidden wonder.

Great vibe! Excellent onion rings, nice and crispy. Same with the chips. Toilets are nice, clean and spacious. Friendly barman and waitering staff! Great starters, very wide variety! And some great foreign beers!

Amazing menu, with extras you dont generally find at Kosher restaurants like delicious cocktails. The food was very good, the vibe was great and the staff are very friendly.

The Press never disappoints. The burgers are delicious, the cocktails are trendy and fun to drink and there is a vibe in the restaurant that makes you want to keep going back. The service can be a bit slow sometimes especially on busy nights but I highly recommend visiting and ordering the Hangover burger, that is my go to order.

I visited The Press Bar and Grill on Monday the 7th of May 2018, even though it was Monday, and early, everyone there was chirpy and cheerful. The bartender was a bundle of energy and joy, a person might have been mistaken that it was a Friday and payday all at the same time.I had one of their burgers and I was blown away!It was tasty, juicy , huge, and now I am hungry, I will definitely pay them another visit!This Sunday, The Press Bar and Grill have something for Mothers Day. I think I will definitely go there, the food was just delicious.LOL It was awesome.

It was OK. Burger was overcooked and dry when asked for medium rare. It is very expensive for an OK burger. Chicken burger was also mediocre and very very expensive. Pity as it looks like a really nice place.

Hi it’s generally great great food, quite pricey 40 rand for water but I suppose for those paying dollars it’s nothing. The welcome could be friendlier especially when it’s pumping.What troubles me was that there is a service charge for a group. I don’t think that’s right because you know the waiters will get a tip if they give service and you end up tipping twice.But in general great experience and not bad value for money

We had a family get together here last night with 19 people.David and his staff went out of their way to make the experience very special for all of us.The food was excellent as was the service.I highly recommend the Press Bar and Grill for anyone visiting Cape Town.

What an incredible time! The food is amazing and the vegetarian options are delish! We had the falafel burger and it blew our minds.Then theres the staff who are attentive, kind and thoughtful, not to mention the owner coming to check on us personally.All in all we had a lovely dinner and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Superb burgers...and it so happens to be kosher! I’ve never had a bad experience there and I’ve been numerous times. Good quick service, friendly staff, nice location. There’s also a secret eating area in the back (it is a non-smoking area).

I booked a table for 8 z last minute - and showed up with 18 people on the busiest night of the year. The staff not only squeezed us in when they were beyond capacity- they gave us top service and delicious food. Then the staff treated us to shots and drank with us.The foreign first-timers at the restaurant were all blown away by the delicious food, atmosphere and treatment.Terific food, hospitality and fun time.Thank you!

Burgers were amazing! CBC was superb! Our waiter was super friendly and had a wonderful sense of humour. Just a little disappointed that they were out of stock on ingredients for a number of cocktails I had wanted to order.

This is one of the worst breakfast spots. Incorrect tea, bad communication, old toast, toast was underdone so had to send it back which they never brought back to the table. The omelette was rubber, no taste and had no filling even though it said roasted tomatoes. Ate half of the omelette waiting for the toast and eventually just stopped eating. Unenjoyable and disappointing. Rather pay a bit more for better.

Fantastic food and staff. Great burgers. Wide range of craft and mainstream beers available. Bar menu and upmarket late night bar crowd. Its not halaal certified but it is kosher although youd never guess so if you didnt know.

Incredible food, fantastic staff and service! We arrived minutes before the kitchen closed but they still were patient with us and helped us with our order and didnt rush us out. Such friendly staff! Food was delicious. We want to go back for more!

Great place. Fully kosher and delicious food. Main drawcards are the burger selection and range of beers. I dont drink beer but can testify that the burgers are great!

Ordered ribs, burgers and milkshakes. Delicious, filling meals. Milkshakes were magical. The beer list is worthy of any ale lover. Courtyard behind is perfect for breakfast or lunch times. Avoid the coffee, have it somewhere else. Big screen TVs makes it an option for a game and drinks

What a vibe. And cheap beers , 5-7pm Sun to Thurs they have some half priced cocktails and craft beers for R19 / 500ml!! Upmarket venue and the owner whos always around will even give you the TV remote and a cellphone charger. Definitely worth making this your local especially with the outside secret garden in summer and for the smokers or office parties of up to 60 pax.

We had an awesome day at The Press Bar. The food was out of this world & the service from all staff including the Chef visiting our table was so much more than we ever expected. I would highly recommend that you go try it for yourself.

This place is fantastic. The vibe of the restaurant is really cool but still family friendly. I had the falafel and it was the best falafel that Ive had outside of Israel. My husband got the Lamb ribs for a starter and the rib-eye steak and loved it as well. I also stole some of his French fries and they were also great. It is a must try if you are in Cape Town for sure, it is great value for the money. I know that Ill be back the next time Im in Cape Town.

Great new place in Sea Point. Welcoming atmosphere, nice selection of craft beers, and delicious tapas. The lamb riblets and falafel with hummus and Tahiti were spot on! The burgers also looked delicious. My takeaway carrot cake was enough for 2 or 3. Dense and moist, its a real treat. Definitely a place to revisit.

Possibly the worst burgers ever. Rolls were stale, the patties not 100% meat and seemed store bought, and half the ingredients listed on the menu werent on the burger including rocket, basil, red pepper mayo, sundried tomato pesto, which were all left off with iceberg lettuce instead. The outside courtyard has no ambiance - no music or vibe. The only decent thing was the waiter who was very nice. Just a pity the food was so bad.
