I have just had the most delicious Hake and Chips takeaway. It was a very generous portion, fresh, and good value for money. I would highly recommend stopping here for a great fish and chips :)

Just ordered via bolt. Food was 50% off. Very little food for what we paid, even at half price. The 2 large meals were meant for 6 people. Only 4 could eat from both. I wont be buying from Snoekies Rondebosch again.

After the first piece of hake I had, it was so fresh and delicious I was going to give a 5 star. It was really amazing. Unfortunately, the 3 other hake pieces we had tasted old and the fish was brownish on the inside unlike like the first which was white and fresh.The service was friendly and efficient. I will give you guys a try again. Especially because I dont want to drive all the way to Hout Bay Snoekies.

After a tiring morning at the park across the road it was so good to relax at snoekies, the place is really clean and calm. Service was great. The food was fresh and tasted lovely. It was relaxing and felt comfortable. My hubby also bought bait while waiting on our food so we killed two birds with one stone. Saved us the trouble of driving around somewhere else in this heat looking for bait.

Really clean premises.Food cooked only when ordered so really good. No soggy batter or chips.. Ive always enjoyed mine.Situated in same place as petrol station which can be a little congested at times.Also popular so bit of a wait sometimes.Prices not cheap ,approxR90 a serving.

Went for a combo special that was 2 x hake portions, 1 x full portion of calamari and a large chips. On getting home with our order the chips were no bigger than a small portion and the calamari was also very disappointing. We are normally fans of Snoekies but will think again before buying from them, especially this branch.

Snoekies has been around for more than 5 decades no wonder their cook the fried fish and their calamarie melts in your mounth. You try them once and youre hooked.

The best fish & chips (hake and snoek) in the Southern Suburbs. Out of about 30 orders, not 1 was the fish perfect. Unfortunately they always under cook the chips and I re fry them.

I drove all the way to them, ordered snoek got home after sitting in traffic to and from, i never got snoek i just got hake. At that time i couldnt go back.So it was disappointing

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal grilled hake with fried calamari I would have preferred chips little more crispy😋😋😋 beautiful clean sitting place - nice & cool with fan above yr head-no problem with flies -we had our meal inside but they also have the option of sitting outside as well 😊👍

Very disappointing food on 16 July 2021. An expensive dinner for below average fish and chips.

I ordered via Uber eats at 5h29. It is now 6h48 and I still dont have my order. I contacted your store and ws told a driver left with my order more than 20 min ago yet on Uber app it says that driver is waiting for order. I message the driver via the app and I am told that he is informed that another driver took the order but he should hang on for 10 min and the order will be remade. Absolutely disgusting service!

The chips 🍟 was not so nice than the one in Sea Point the fish 🐠 was also a bit dry

It was our first time visiting Snoekies and we were very impressed with everything overall.As we entered we noticed the cleanliness and with the Covid protocols that greeted us.The meny is clear and concise.The food was delicious, fresh and well presented.Staff was very friendly too.Really enjoyed the experience.10/10 overall.

I have been buying from them for years, top quality take aways but im having to start looking for another seafood take away because of their prices.... I know everything has gone up in price but I find them a bit much for our pocket.... Their food quality and menu is superior and they are efficient but economics prevail unfortunately...

The food is fantastic and reasonably priced! The staff are also very friendly and helpful! The only downsides are the waiting time being rather long, which Im okay with however i am always told less than half the time that i actually wait for as the waiting time. And the other downside being the outside tables seem to not be wiped down, but when you allert the staff they wipe it down immediately. I would definitely recommend it if you arent in a rush and want a proper meal that tastes great!

I have just purchased now vis delivery it being LOCKDOWN and all... I ordered a shake and chips along with a Calamari portion...Firstly I have never experienced this before... the hake arrived with no tail end, completely broken off and believe in lieu of the bottom end which you could see was broken off as no batter was covering it and the fish could be seen, you guys added a piece of what seems like an off cut!!!!! That is absolutely a NO NO!!!!!!!! Then the size of the Calamari portion which o have never seen before!!!!!!!We are fasting, my kids I ordered Aneesas and I really longed for fish& chips... I actually regret this decision I have made. I have taken a picture and logged a complaint on your website. I wawait a response and if not, I will expose you guys in the media!!!!!I hope and pray for your sake that when I break my Fast, this is fresh and not fish that was frozen from the dinosaur era!!!!

Excellent food preparation and presentation, and not bad selections. However, is no longer as affordable as one would come to expect from Snoekies. Parking at this specific Snoekies can also be a challenge but food turnaround time is decent.
