I can’t express how thankful I am to the team at Tonnesen Best Drive in Diep River. They helped me with a MASSIVE issue I had with a pair of grinding and worn down break pads - and did so remarkably quickly. I’m a student, and had to go through a bit of a budgeting process to find the right mechanic - and they were by far the most affordable, informed, capable and efficient team I spoke to. Slow and bad customer service.Friendly but told me it would take 20 minutes and 20 minutes later, they still hadnt started. They got annoyed with me when they asked how long it would take as my mom was waiting to see if you needed to take me back to work. She ended up waiting with me for about 50 minutes before leaving to go back home. I told them multiple times that I worked very close by and that I can come back later but they insisted it would take 20 minutes and I shouldnt go to work and come back.I ended up getting a quote for about R2500 and got it done at Hi-Q in Plumstead for R1800. Wont be back.

Shocks fitted. Done quickly.So that was 2 years ago.Today we took my daughters car in for shocks and squeaky brakes.They fitted front and back shocks, front discs and pads, and lower control arms as the bushes were cracked.Again, very happy with the service. Well done guys.

I went there after my car had just been serviced by Hyundai to get new window wipers, Tonnesen charged me half of what Hyundai quoted for wipers & wheel alignment. They also gave me a quote on what my service would have cost had I gone to them and I would have saved A LOT. Needless to say, my next service Ill be heading there. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Lesson learnt. I replaced all my tyres through them. Got a flat today and turns out they swapped my spare Goodyear with another tyre that wasnt the same size as all my other tyres.

I visited Tonnesen in Diep River 05 August 2019 with a slow puncture. I was literally in the place for 5 minutes. Job done. Thank you to Eddie and his team for such swift service. Keep it up!

Always used to do my tires by them, then my car started pulling to left, took it to them and was told that its due to tire ware and I insisted they check my alignment, they said it was in reasonable parameters for my model car. Decided to take it to another tire company for new tires they informed me both front tires had equal ware on them and my left tire was out of alignment by 2 degrees to the left and right tire was one degree out to the left, when I replaced my tires they noted that there was weights on the outside rim and none on the inside of the rim on all 4 rims which wore out my tires even faster as they were not balanced properly. All I can say is I am totally disappointed in the type of service that was given to me, the customer service is awesome but the product service is pathetic. I will never use them again.

Phoned to order a Tyre which they said they could get me with a 2 days wait. When I arrived 2 days later I was told that in fact they dont have the tyre. The place is not around the corner from where I live. Management was not apologetic at all, but rather took the attitude of stuff happens its not our problem.

Excellent service, they were able to source the correct parts for my car when other autoparts centers couldnt help.

I drove in for four new tires. They ignored me for 3 minutes, after which I reversed out. Not a single person engaged with me.

I took my Volvo to have an assessment of the damage after riding over a brick & causing a small nick in the one tyre.I spoke to the Manager, who asked a technician to have a look, putting NO pressure on said technician.It was a very professional process, with the technician obviously free to give his best advice : I was advised, based on the point & depth of damage & the age of tyres to just have them rotated in 3000Km.What a professional crowd : full marks to a Manager who leads by integrity.This is my tyre service provider & will be for my family. Well done, guys.
