I love to support local businesss but it was so upsetting just how badly they tried to rip me off.1. Told me the part I needed was R2300, called VW and it costed R9902. They told me it was a massive job and labour would be around R3000.3. When they called and said its going to cost R5300 I went down there and kindly declined. They tried to force me to pay R600 for a auto scan which I never agreed to or gave consent. And its actually just a quick diagnostics check. And in fact this does not even pick up the problem.Long story short, went to another Mechanic and it was done in one hour with a total cost of R1400.This is not how you run a business. Ethics are everything...

Be aware of these guys. They quoted me and when I came to collect my car the invoice was almost double. So not happy with the service and wouldnt recommend them at all.

They overcharged me for a simple job and when the same thing broke a few weeks later, they refused to help me, saying they were too busy and their staff cant give me 5 minutes to see what went wrong again. Charge too much for labour just to diagnose the problem. Very unprofessional customer service from the receptionist. Would not recommend.

Great quick service. Was a little pricey

Public beware. I was quoted R5750 for a replacement alternator and when i arrived i was presented a bill for R10160. I asked Mike what make of alternator he had put in my vehicle and he could not even tell me what the make was !!

We have had good service from Mikes Auto, on two separate occasions. This last time, we had a car window mechanism repaired and very happy with the price and service. My son accidentally left his laptop in a bag in the car, Lynette receptionist kept it safe for us. Had already been in the car a few hours and absolutely nothing was missing in the bag! I think that says a lot.

The WORST service possible. They said the needed car for 1 day. I said I will give you a few extra days. 5 working days later, nothing done, except joy rides. I say joy ride and not test drives, because they raved about how fast car is, and nothing to do with the problem the car had. They drove out my petrol as well. They wanted to charge me R550 for 3min diagnostics (tool), despite me telling them what the error code was and drive symptoms, and telling them where to start with their multimeter. Stay away from them. You have been warned.

Be careful, call around for other quotations beforehand. They did repairs on our car without our consent and when we took them on they gave R 100,00 discount on a R 1 800,00 bill. When we phoned around the more average price should have been in the region of R 1 200,00.

I took my car in to get the wipers fixed. Not only did they NOT give me a guarantee for the work that they did (which I paid for anyways), but broke my windscreen in the process. After going back to them they took photos and promised to phone me back. 6 days later and nothing. i called them and their suggestion was to use my own insurance and sort it out myself. No ways will I go back to these guys. Very disappointed.

Had a terrible experience with Mikes Auto Eletrical Tokai. They made me pay R319 for a call out, never mind that they tell you its R280 over the phone without stating thats the amount before tax. Very dishonest bunch of people.Told me my car needed a new alternator and a new battery, meanwhile it just needed a new battery. Even called me with a quote for R7000 and I told them to leave the car. Then they offered a cheaper deal for a new battery and I still said no.After getting my car I consulted other auto electrical places and getting it resolved I called them to tell them they are very dishonest just for them to tell me that I never gave them a chance to assess my car. Like why did I pay R319 then? and where did the R7000 come from?They didnt even do the basic test of putting a new battery and checking the voltage if the alternator charges the battery or not and what voltage.Very disappointed!!!!

This company is full of crooks. I HIGHLY recommend that no-one makes use of this company. A very good friend of mine took her Nissan Pathfinder in for repairs and received the car back 3 months later with the engine in the boot and parts of the car which had no connection to the engine ripped out and left on the seats. I cant understand people like this. the car is now ruined and has to be sold for spair parts. went to the extent that we had to get lawyers involved.R10 000 down the drain, 3 months of stress and payment for rental cars and uber, HORRIBLE customer service, a crooked invoice (coming from a GOOD, well trusted mechanic) and a car thats now worth nothing. words cannot explain the anger we are feeling.Dont make the mistake we made. avoid these people.LIARS LIARS LIARS
