Due to a misunderstanding I had a problem with one of my investments which, if not corrected, would have resulted in a significantly reduced return. The manager, Jolene and the assistant manager Chante both understood the problem and went about sorting it out as quickly as possible, updating me on the progress daily until it was put right. This has given me great confidence in Capitec, and I will continue to add to my investment porfolio with them.

Had some more complex requests, but the consultant got it done with the help of the IT department on the phone in a very reasonable amount of time. Other banks would likely have taken forever and still failed. Thanks, Capitec!

I have been to capitec everyday this week and the queue is terribly long. I cant understand why Capitec cant make separate queues for grants and other banking things.I am so disgusted, because that queues is probably the first place people will get corona.I just cant believe that they expect me to stand in that queue just to activate my online app.

I am a client at Capitec and am very happy with them as a bank. I went in to open a basic savings account for my 14 year old daughter yesterday. The lady greeting clients at the entrance was so professional and immaculate. However the consultant I dealt with was disappointing. It took over an hour to open an account, after five attempts of entering in the information we had success. I was asked for my marriage certificate to complete the application. After much debating and getting my husband to email it through to the branch, a supervisor confirmed with the consultant that this is not a requirement for the application process. She was very abrupt and I felt that she spoke in a patronising way. Anyhow we left with an account for my daughter but really expected a better friendlier service and not to be challenged every step of the process.
